Private Sightseeing Cart Tour Of Houston

I booked this sightseeing tour as a special experience for my aunt, and unfortunately, it was nothing like what was advertised. Based on the description and photos from previous customers, we were expecting a fun, open-air golf cart tour through Houston, with opportunities to explore the city, stop at murals and sculptures, and take memorable pictures along the way. Unfortunately, we didn’t get that experience. We arrived early and met our tour guide, Marna, who was genuinely kind, knowledgeable, and welcoming. I want to make it clear that my disappointment is not with her personally, but with how the company handled our reservation. We were informed that none of the golf carts were available because they were being used for another event. Instead of notifying us beforehand, offering to reschedule, or providing a refund, we were expected to complete the entire tour in a regular passenger vehicle. At 6’5”, I was seated in the back while my aunt sat in the front. Because of the limited visibility, I couldn’t see approximately 80% of the sights being discussed. Additionally, traveling in a car made it difficult to access certain areas or stop conveniently, which completely changed the experience we were expecting. What was especially disappointing was the lack of photo opportunities. The customer photos advertised people enjoying the city, standing beside murals, sculptures, and landmarks. We didn’t get any of that. The only opportunity we had to stop was near the stadium, where the photo would have essentially been taken outside a gate. The golf cart experience and photo opportunities were the primary reasons I booked this particular tour. Had I known we would be riding around Houston in a regular car with limited visibility and virtually no opportunities to get out and explore, I would not have purchased it. I didn’t want to make things uncomfortable during the tour, especially since Marna was doing her best under the circumstances. However, I left feeling extremely disappointed, particularly because this was supposed to be a memorable experience for my aunt. I understand that scheduling conflicts happen, but customers should be notified when the advertised experience cannot be provided and given the option to reschedule or receive a refund.

Interesting if you want to see sport areas. Nice to see all the different parks. A little pricey for what you get. Not the golf chart shown

We weren't in the cute little golf cart, but an F-150, which I'm sure was much more comfortable and we probably covered more ground in the tour time. The guide was very informative about the area and pointed out many landmarks.

Robby was great! Showed us all around Houston, giving us the history and back stories. Was funny, engaging, and knowledgeable. We never would have seen Houston without this tour. If you’re coming to Houston you should absolutely do this tour!

It’s a great way to get to know downtown Houston and some history as well. It was a beautiful morning and our guide was engaging.

Marna was very knowledgable , friendly and fun . I never realised it was solely downtown so it covered a fairly compact but diverse area. I really enjoyed the tour and would recommend it to anyone who doesn’t have a lot of time to spare but still wants a taste of Houston There were some stops to take photos which was great ,

It was a very pleasing and interesting tour of Downtown Houston. The guide was knowledgeable, extensively described landmarks and their history in a friendly and entertaining way.

Really nice tour in which you get a good impression of the city in a short period of time. The guide gives a lot of background information, that makes it more interesting and she knows a lot about the murals. The murals are very impressive!! Really nice experience!!

Great overview of Houston's history, downtown places of interest and things to do and see on a second visit.

There is traffic noise during peak hours so listening to the commentary can be difficult. However, our tour guide, Marna Robertson did an excellent job managing that! Knows the city history inside out, he is a living legend of downtown Houston 👍. If you want to know all about Houston in a nutshell, as a small group or family then this tour is highly recommended. 👉

Really great tour. Houston is an amazing city. The open air golf cart and a very knowledgeable guide made this tour a top shelf experience and we have been on tours in 22 countries.

This was a great tour! Robby was very engaging and kept us interested with his commentary. Definitely recommend for a great understanding about how huge downtown really is, Our only disappointment was thinking it would be private but had 2 others joining our group.

You get a great overview of the city. The little car can go where vans cannot, which was great. Our guide knew everything about the city, and was very personable.

This was a really nice tour and Marna was very knowledgeable about Houston. Definitely recommend it, not only for tourists but also for locals!

The tour operator cancelled 30 minutes prior to tour time after we’d spent $65 on an Uber to get to the meeting point, then had to spend another $65 to get back to hotel. They knew we were travelling in from about an hour outside of Houston city. They said they had to cancel due to heavy rain and flooding & that electric cars can’t go out but when we got there, no rain, no flooding and ground was completely dry. Even travelling into the city there wasn’t any rain either. Sadly, not the best experience as the Uber’s cost more than the tour ticket price that we didn’t even get to do.

Marna showed us around the city and was very knowledgeable and informative. We really enjoyed this tour. Highly recommend

Don't expect what you see in advertisements. Your ride consist of riding around about 4 to 5 blocks downtown, we thought we were seeing muriels, but they said that was a separate tour. Then, "the old oak tree, which was also the linching tree" tour guides statement. Then the Gulf of America, so needless to say, I would never do it again, and advised you to save your money.

The guide was great. Even though it was a sunny day, I was glad I had brought a jacket as it did get a tad windy in the golf cart.

We enjoyed our private tour in a golf cart in downtown Houston. Our friendly and knowledgeable guide was great (Robbie)!

Robbie and Marna were very knowledgeable of the city. Would highly recommend their tour while in Houston. We will return next year and do their Galveston tour.

I live in the area and worked downtown a long time ago. It was so interesting to see the changes and improvements downtown. Marna is dedicated to knowing Houston/Downtown history and passionate about sharing it. The tour was so informative that I took notes! Thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Booking again soon with family.

Guides were knowledgable, but 30 mins late. I'm not sure downtown Houston is interesting enough to warrant a 1.5 hour tour.

Wonderful tour of the city! Marna is very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. This driving tour was the perfect option for my parents since they get tired easily and their knees hurt.

This tour far exceeded our expectations! It was fun and informative. The host and hostess were superb and sensitive to the needs of my 90 year old mother. :) Since my mom has a hard time walking, this was a great way for her to sit and enjoy the city she once knew well. It was nostalgic and a perfect gift for an elderly Houstonian.

We are first timers in Houston and found our personal golf cart tour super helpful to get a lay of the land. Marna was super friendly and knowledgeable about the history and current buildings around town. She even picked us up /dropped us off at our hotel since her schedule allowed it. She stopped and took any pictures we wanted at the many points of interest. An hour well spent!

Everything was nice, I really enjoyed the tour. I learned so much, and when I go back I will make sure to book again, and hopefully I’ll have more time to more tours

I live in Houston and thought I knew most of the history of the city and its key attractions. However since my niece and her husband were in town, I booked a city tour so we didn't have to walk everywhere in midday heat. We'll, I am glad I booked the tour because I got "schooled" and learned so much more about the unique history of Houston. This a great and very accommodating tour.

What a joy , Joyride, was for us! Marna , our tour guide, had the best tips on where to go and we enjoyed all the places she recommended ! She went out of her way to show us all the stops and to make our trip so enjoyable.

Marna was the best tour guide. She has basically been my chauffeur from the minute I arrived into Houston.... If it wasn't for Marna I definitely would have been lost....

This cart ride through the city was amazing! Our driver Robbie, was so fun, informative, knowledgeable, you could just tell how proud he is of his city. There is so much history in Houston. We can’t wait to come back and visit the places Robbie pointed out!

Marna took us in her flatbed truck as the electric car was under repair. She was very knowledgeable about the sport and community of the city. Unfortunately Huston has NOT preserved its history and money has just build modern stuff over most of it. We did like the street art though.
