Outdoor Escape Room In Austin - Downtown

Had a great time doing the escapely game in downtown Austin. I love that you can buy it and do it anytime at your leisure. The clues were great and got us to look around downtown in a different way. Highly recommend!

Had a great time, exploring the city using the escape room box that came with everything that you needed to have a good time. It even included a pen! The clues were fun to follow and it took about 3 1/2 hours to figure out take your time and grab some Drinks along the way and it makes for a great afternoon. I really liked how you can customize the difficulty by using the hints that don’t totally give away the answer and still have you think this is a great opportunity for a visitors to Austin or locals, who haven’t taken the time to walk downtown in a while.

We seriously had so much fun doing this! I definitely recommend if you like solving puzzles, seeing the city in a creative way, and being outside and at your own pace! Plus, lots of fun photo ops!

Great date day idea. We enjoyed the scavenger hunt and puzzles. Good activity to learn and exercise! Glad there were plenty of hints to get us through the tougher parts.

We have a great time! The box of clues was well made and the kids thought it was cool. We did have to use some hints, but that didn't take the fun out of it. We enjoyed exploring the city!

We did this as a family adventure. Great experience! The puzzles were engaging but not too difficult to become frustrating. Very well put-together escape "room". Good excuse to get out of the house and explore the city.

As Father's Day approaches every year, I'm always asked what I want to do on the day. This year, I asked that the whole family do the Austin escape room with me. With older kids (15, 21, 25) it's hard to have family activities, but everyone consented on Father's Day. We had a great time. We could go in the morning, when it was cool, and everyone was add to the problem-solving. When we got stuck, we made use of the Hints to keep the frustration at bay and to keep the fun rolling. The route included some great places for pictures and the walking distance was just right. Great way to spend Father's Day.

We had such a blast! We did this for my daughter's 13th birthday with some of her friends and they had a great time. It was great to get to see some sites in Austin we hadn't seen yet and to learn about some of the history. The game was easy to navigate through and getting hints was easy. I highly recommend!

Such an usual and fun experience for my family and friends! I think it was 10 of us who all worked together to solve the clues around downtown Austin and figure out the end goal. Some of the clues were harder than others but the hints helped us solve it when needed. Plus it was fun just to walk around downtown, stop for a rest at a bar, and have a lot of laughs. A really great idea and so glad we did it.

My wife had gotten the game as a birthday present for me for us to do together. We both love puzzles and with around a dozen escape rooms under our belts, we wanted to try something new. I was really impressed by the entire package and game design. At first I was skeptical about the gamebox-to-phone QR code system, but it worked perfectly every time with zero glitches, and also made pausing/restarting super easy. I loved following the real-world prompts and clues to decipher the puzzles. It helped to bring a fresh perspective to the Capitol grounds, which we've seen lots of times in 10 years of living in Austin but got to experience in a completely new way. I loved the variety of puzzles, and also how the same method of puzzle breaking was never repeated--which meant the finale was full of red herrings for us! I thought the difficulty level was perfect. Having the variety of puzzles meant that different skills were involved each time, and also the multi-step puzzles meant that we might breeze through one part and then really have to think about another part before solving the puzzle. The multi-level Hint system for each puzzle was really well designed, providing us with just enough guidance as we wanted but not giving away too much, saving us the satisfaction still of 'solving' it. I also liked (though we never used) the option for 'Explanation' if someone was just really struggling. The fun facts were a nice touch of trivia for the real-world locations also. All around, it was a great experience, and I would highly recommend this for both visitors and locals!

My friends and I had a great time with Escapely Austin! We play lots of games together but we aren’t expierenced at escape rooms. This was a nice way for us to work puzzles without being locked in a room together. We chose a gorgeous early-March day and Austin weather did us right! It took us about 2.5 hours to complete and the walk was easy. There are plenty of places on the walk to stop for a drink or snacks to rest our brains before the next task. The difficulty level was very good. Some tasks were easier than others. The game gives you the option to ask for hints, so if you ever get stuck, it's easy to find out what you need to do. We only got truly lost in a task once, and the hints helped is find the answers we needed. We had 11 in our group, I do think the recommendation of around 6 is preferable as we had a hard time getting everyone involved the whole time. I loved the use of the Capital grounds for the early clues! That was the most fun for me! All in all, I would 100% recommend this game to folks looking for an Austin activity.

We had a lot of fun though had to use a few hints and take some pauses in between. But mostly we solved it ourselves. Definitely something to do the first time in an area to wander around.

We had fun and it took us to interesting places in the city. We only needed a few clues, especially at the end, but overall the challenges were very doable and the walk was not bad.

This was great family fun! Everyone played a hand in us figuring out the clues. Great to be outdoors in the city we love exploring.

We had a blast! Our group goes to escape rooms often and we were impressed with the challenge but it's also not too difficult for people that are new to this because they offer great hints if needed. We had a really great time and got to see some new sites in austin. Highly recommended!

The most memorable part of my experience was working through the clues with my brother and sister, and rediscovering Austin in a way I never would’ve thought possible. I would do this again in a heartbeat! I’ve used Viator to gift others with these incredible experiences, I’ve also (obviously) enjoyed one myself, and I promise this is the way to gift! The memories from these experiences are priceless and unmatched!

Escapely is a fun and unique way to get a tour of Austin! The game takes you through downtown Austin where you get to explore some historic sites, all while keeping you engaged with the Escape game. This is a great family activity for all ages. It is self-paced so you can take a break, if needed, at one of the many local restaurants you pass by during the game. My family had a great time and we highly recommend Escapely!

And it's a great way to explore a city, whether you're visiting as a tourist or are a local and want to see the city from a different perspective.
