North Bay Snorkel - South Padre Island

We had a lovely morning on the water. The water was clear and warm, even in October after all of the rain. We saw tons of catfish and other interesting fish. It is not along a reef, so we didn't expect to see so many different fish. It was great for our son's girlfriend who is a beginner. The boat ride is calm and relaxing. We lived the floating mats. Overall a wonderful experience.

Starts out a leisurely boat ride along the coast in a no wake zone. Snorkeling was great. They have mats to lay on to take a break. You can stand so it’s good for non swimmers. Turned awesome when fish were fed (another guest brought tortilla chips) underwater phone captured video. Rebooked another day during our week stay! Clean boat, great crew, bathroom and drinking water provided.

We had an amazing time with our tour guide! He showed us some great places to snorkel and shared some cool information. Thanks again!

Easy check-in. I liked the texts we got from TripAdvisor keeping us updated. Snorkeling was okay. Wear shoes if you don’t like stepping on the yuck and seagrass. Also, I wish I’d taken my own floaty tube. After you’ve seen the little fish and catfish, floating in the water is more fun than doing that for 2 more hours. I like that they had floaty mats to take a beak on top of. Guides were friendly and funny! Good trip for a family.

This was a great experience! It was the last day of our trip and we added snorkeling the day before. The father son team were professional, fun and easy to talk to. The captain made sure instructions were clear to keep everyone safe. We saw a lot of fish and as a novice swimmer I felt comfortable. In most areas I could stand up. It was peaceful and unique experience. I am glad we did it. The boat was large which made a smooth ride out and back, with an onboard bathroom. The length on the water was just right. I highly recommend this group.

Brady was super friendly and helpful. It was a bit chilly so we cut the snorkeling short and he gave us a boat ride. We had a great time!

An absolute must when visiting the island! There was 3 of us women who had never snorkeled before but our guide was great with explaining everything to us and made sure he went above and beyond to make sure we had a memorable time. Thank you!

Pavi was the best guide and took the time to not only take us snorkeling but see dolphins and other shore sites in the area! We had an excellent time and highly recommend this excursion!

It was an amazing experience with Pavi!!! It was a small boat which made for a great one on one experience!!! When we got out in the open he was very detailed on how to use the snorkel gear!! The water was amazing and we were able to take shells home!! He also played my favorite song Pontoon which made the ride even better!! 10/10 recommend for beginners or any snorkeling experience you have!

My 11 year old daughter and I booked a snorkeling trip. It was out first time, and Brady made it a great time!

My partner and I were visiting from Wi and had never snorkeled before, so both of us were a bit nervous about what to expect. Our guide was great, and made both of us feel at ease and comfortable getting in. The water was clear, beautiful, and calm as well as being relatively shallow (max was 7ft deep). We saw many types of fish and crabs (we even saw a few small stingrays!!) and was perfect for us beginners. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone, with or without experience! :))

Pavy is an excellent captain. Experience was a blast and most memorable. We were newbies, but felt comfortable and thoroughly enjoyed the adventure.

The Captain was awesome, played great music out on the water, and was very helpful with inexperienced teenagers regarding the snorkeling.

Excellent adventure! Saw lots of Dolphins as an added bonus. The snorkeling was great tons of sea life. Captain was a fabulous tour guide. Friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and lots of fun. Highly recommend!

Brady, the captain was nice, the water was pleasant and we could stand up where we snorkeled. Lots of fish. But the downside was they were only 2 kinds of fish. I saw 1 puffer fish and 1 hermit crab in a shell. So a bit dull.

I can't believe how lucky we were to have Brady as our captain on the snorkeling trip! From start to finish, his professionalism, knowledge, and enthusiasm made the experience truly unforgettable. Highly recommended for an incredible adventure!

Pavy was an excellent guide! Very friendly and informative of the Bay Area. Not a lot to see on the snorkeling end, but the water felt amazing and he took us to see a few dolphins after snorkeling. . Great customer service and time spent on the beautiful bay.

Pavi was a great guide. Fun boat ride and great experience snorkeling in the bay. It’s nice to see clear water. We live closer to the Atlantic so the water is definitely not as clear where we live. Fun experience.

This snorkeling trip was awesome! Check-in was very smooth, and our guide was a little shy but kind. The water clarity was incredible as well! While it was mostly catfish around, we also saw a few other species and even some small jellyfish! It was memorable, especially feeding the fish, which caused a frenzy all around you. Take an underwater camera if you can! Overall, we loved this experience and will be doing it again!

Brady did a great job teaching us about the area and where to find the best experience. We highly recommend.

It was amazing. Our captain made sure we were comfortable with our equipment and took time to make sure we would be comfortable in the water. He had food to attract the fish, and took us to see dolphins on the way home. It was perfect.

Even though the water was cold it was an awesome experience. First time snorkeling for my husband and he loved it. The captain was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Must do activity while on the Island. Highly recommend SPI excursions

Definitely don’t snorkel at this time of year although the boat captain Paco took me to see the dolphins which was wonderful.

Snorkeling was a blast! It was such a great experience! One we hope to do again real soon! The captain was extremely friendly and hilarious! I recommend to everyone!

He went above and beyond just taking us snorkeling, he took us out to see the dolphins and kind of give us a tour and some history of the island.

The water is about 5-7ft deep so my boys really enjoyed snorkeling as their first time. We could see teams of fish and were able to touch them when swimming near the boat because they know that’s where they can get food scraps. Nice tour guide and wonderful weather!

It was really cool getting to swim in the middle of all the fish and collecting some awesome sea shells, our captain was super cool too!

Watching my son and granddaughter snorkel and love it! It was a beautiful day and our guide was great pointing out the puffer fish and others!

Great guide, tons of fish. . . even able to see some dolphins while out! The water was shallow, so you don't need to be a strong swimmer. We were able to see puffer fish, catfish, a flounder and a host of other sea critters.

This trip was awesome. First time snorkeling and we saw tons of fish, some catfish, a stingray and a crab. It was awesome. Had a great time and captain was awesome. Recommend for everyone to try out.

Our 7 year-old was worried about the deep water but loved the fact we were in shallow water and still saw fish. We went to a second spot that was deeper when we were ready and had just as much fun. We even got to see some dolphins!

We had a great time. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable and fun. There were only two or these types of fish to see and a few crabs but was still an amaZing experience. Definitely worth it!

Our guide was great, showed us the scuba area and threw feed for the fish to be around us. Then took us to see dolphins and a good view of space X. Would do again!

Very upset that we didn’t get to make it. Called to get reschedule and they didn’t want to reschedule use. We are not from here. Very disappointing.

The tour guide was fun and make the experience interesting and relaxing. There were two 15 year olds in our group and they were a bit nervous but they had so much fun, they went out to buy snorkels to do a bit of exploring in their own.

There were plenty of perch and catfish, but the surprise was a couple of stingrays. The facility has many excursion options beyond snorkeling.

Awesome time. Great fun with family. Time flew by way to fast and our time was up. We will most definitely come again.

Really a let down, got to see seaweed and minnows. Gave us fruit to attract the minnows. The boat ride was the most exciting thing about the outing.

My group had an excellent time on our snorkeling trip! Captain Pavee was a great tour guide and took us to an area to snorkel that fit our comfort level and was extremely friendly and fun! I would 10/10 recommend to those looking for a fun thing to do while on SPI.

A very relaxing and fun excursion over the gulf waters. We enjoyed it even more because it was more personable than the larger dolphin cruises, and we were able to get much closer the the dolphins as well. I would recommend this to anyone that enjoys a good time out on the open water
