Itinerary
One of our accredited guides will meet you at the docks between the Quince Lakehouse and Hula Hut. NOT inside the restaurants. Go down in between the restaurants to the boat docks. Thats where the captain will meet you. Do NOT bring outside alcohol or food inside the restaurants.
Mozart’s Coffee Roasters, a beloved waterfront café famous for its holiday light shows and freshly roasted coffee. Your captain will share stories about these Austin icons as we glide past their scenic patios.
As we depart, you’ll cruise past Hula Hut, one of Austin’s most famous lakeside restaurants, known for its vibrant Tiki-style decor and lively atmosphere. This place is just a 2 minute walk from Walsh boat landing.
Known as one of Austin’s highest points, Mount Bonnell towers over Lake Austin, offering expansive views of the city and surrounding areas. Climbing the historic stone steps to the top reveals a sweeping vista that encompasses the downtown skyline, winding Colorado River, and lush Hill Country. It's a celebrated spot for locals and tourists alike to catch a stunning sunset or simply marvel at the city's natural beauty.
Founded in 1899, the Austin Country Club is one of the oldest and most prestigious golf clubs in Texas. Its meticulously maintained fairways and greens sit against a scenic lakeside backdrop. As we cruise by, marvel at the sophisticated clubhouse and the lush, championship golf course, which formerly hosted the PGA Tour's Dell Technologies Match Play each spring, attracting the world's top golfers
Flowing through the limestone hills of Austin, Bull Creek is renowned for its clear waters and cascading waterfalls. As you approach its mouth, you'll notice the rich biodiversity and limestone formations that give this waterway its distinctive character. Its shores are dotted with swimming holes, hiking trails, and secluded spots that reveal the unspoiled beauty of Texas Hill Country and offer a taste of wilderness just minutes from downtown Austin.
This architectural marvel, also known as the 360 Bridge, elegantly stretches over Lake Austin with its unique, rust-colored steel arch design. As you pass beneath, notice how it harmoniously blends with the rugged Texas landscape. This bridge is not only an engineering achievement but also a beloved symbol of Austin, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the city skyline and Hill Country from its vantage point above

Lovely evening. Glad we went. We were a little late due to traffic and they kindly waited on us ... very much appreciated. Guide was kind to take pictures of each group. Recommend
I had a great experience today with Captain Jacob !! Smooth romantic ride
Cap is very personal and knowledgeable about the landmarks and very friendly I would definitely take this tour again
What a wonderful evening! Such a nice treat to see the lake and houses from a boat.
We had a nice tour with Jacob. It was a rainy afternoon, so not a great sunset but the boat ride and the views along Lake Austin were totally worth seeing. There sure are some gorgeous homes to be admired! If I could change something about the tour it would be to have some narration as we were not from the area and like to learn.
the tour was not narrated by the captain so we had no idea what we were seeing and it was our first time in Austin. I reread the description and it does not say the tour is narrated. I just assumed we would be told what we were seeing or any interesting trivia about the homes or the lake.
Lovely tour relaxing and beautiful. Captain Mike wonderful. Boat was very clean and safe. Mike found a cell phone that we thought went overboard but found it still on the boat. Lifesaver!!
Our trip with Captain Mike was better than we had even imagined! The weather was perfect, the lake was peaceful and the sun performed on cue. Captain Mike had a fun playlist and the time flew by.
Captain Mike was the absolute best!!! We were 6 friends on a 60th birthday trip, and he was the perfect host on the cruise, answering our questions, pointing out interesting sites, playing fantastic music, and making the trip so much more than any of us had expected.
The details were exactly as expected clad instructions of where to meet at the dock. Great captain, the ride was an hour roundtrip. They do have a larger cooler with ice and water available. You’re allowed to bring your own snacks and beverages. You can be casual or dressed up as there are opps for pictures. Just be sure to wear comfortable or flat shoes…it’s a boat!
It was such a nice ride and our captain was incredibly kind and acknowledged about the area ! We had so much fun and took a lot of pictures!
While the boat ride itself was relaxing and the guide entertaining, it was basically a tour of homes along the lake and we did not stop anywhere to admire or photo the sunset. We did stop to take photos at the 360 bridge though -which I did not find very scenic. We were all put off by receiving an email before we left, and TWO requests - one before we got on the boat and one as we got off - to give the operator an 18% tip!! They provided a QR code and suggested that much of this was "volunteer" work. This was very strange and unprofessional and I would not recommend this company for this reason.
We were given excellent instructions on where to park and meet the boat captains. We rode with Captain Tony. He was very informative and friendly, giving us information of the local homes and area. He even took sunset photos of us at the bridge. Thank you, Capt Tony!
Lots of fun. We should have dressed warmer, but that was on us.
Tony did a great job, beautiful scenery guide was very knowledgeable. Loved the houses, the bridge, got lots of great subset views!!!!!
Great time!! Captain was great!
We loved our experience. It was easy to find and Zach was nice the views where amazing I would recommend
Captain Rip was personable and knowledgeable about the area. We had a fun time on the boat cruise learning about the area and history of Austin. You get a great view of the mansions on the water and hear about the owners and history of the properties. We had a clear night with a beautiful sunset.
It was excellent and relaxing. I would do it again. We got to see a lot of houses took pictures near the bridge overall great experience.
What an amazing way to end our Anniversary evening. Tony was absolutely fabulous geom beginning to end. We will definitely be back for the holiday cruise.
Capt Riggs was amazing. Loved his vibe and motown groove
We loved our sunset cruise on Lake Austin. It was a fun and informative hour. Would highly recommend.
Perfect! An absolute beautiful smooth experience from start to finish
We enjoined an exceptional sail! The scenery was beautiful, and the others on the trip were so enjoyable.
Such a fun experience.. the sunset was so beautiful.I would definitely book this activity again.
Mike was really nice.We enjoyed the trip.
This was an early bday date for my boyfriend’s birthday. It was amazing. The views were beautiful and our driver Dave was extremely nice & showed us just about every hot spot on the lake in such a limited amount of time. We will be back!
Great experience. The guide David Ripka was knowledgeable and super friendly he even took photos of me and my husband. The ride was set at a perfect time for a date and bringing our own drinks was a great plan for us. We definitely recommend it.
We had an mazing time out on the lake. Our captain, Mike, was fairly knowledgeable of the area and the surrounding sites.
Our boat ride was Awesome by Captain Pat he was really pleasant and engaging with the passengers. He gave us lots of info from the area😄. The weather cooperates with us and made the ride a lot more pleasant. We definitely ride back again with them.
My mom and I had a great experience on the sunset cruise! We were on the boat Mojito (coincidentally our favorite drink) and our Captain was Mason who was great! Very relaxing trip with nice views
We took a sunset tour with Mason on the Mojito. Mason was a lot of fun and very informative of notable things in the area. We really enjoyed our trip on a hot Sunday evening. The breeze cooled us off.
Our group enjoyed the evening cruising the river. It was enjoyable to see all the activity on the water and admire the beautiful homes. The sunset sky was also beautiful. Our captain Mike was very pleasant.
We had a great guide who was patient with our family, shared stories and played great tunes. The cooler with ice was great to add our drinks to
Was such an amazing experience. Had such a great time. Guide was awesome!!
Very good guy. He explained us everything about the lake. Gave us some drinks
Highly recommended sunset boat tour. Mikey was our captain for a 1 hour boat tour.
We really enjoyed the boat ride and the sunset. However, I did not like that our bottoms got soaked. We had been seated somewhere that was fine and where we wouldn’t get wet but then we got moved. We were also rushed off from taking pictures. I understand we are on a time frame but it could’ve been said nicer.
I saw the QR code where this review gives ten dollars to the captain and wanted to do it. He’s really thoughtful and made this cruise really chill
The best trip guide ever yes yo
Good job Capt. Mason!! I had an excellent time.
We had an amazing time! Captain Mason was great!
Pick up was made extremely easy, guides were very friendly and helpful (they sent a message with clear instructions on where to park and meet up earlier in the day). I sat near the back of the boat so the rotor made it really hard to hear some of the facts shared throughout the experience. Michael Benedict was awesome
Great experience. I thought the boat was going to be a different style, but it was fine. We were the last to arrive and got stuck behind the captain’s seat and couldn’t see anything in front for the majority of the ride. Get there early!
Had the best experience on the boat tour
It was really fun and an enjoyable experience. Would highly recommend!! Mike was an amazing captain! Had a great time!
Beautiful sights from the lake
Riggs was absolutely amazing!!! Loved hearing about his time tour guiding and just had such positive attitude!!!
