Lovely way to get history of the city- in a hands on way! The murals were beautiful and the tour was very informative
Great ride! Very informative and a great way to explore the city safely. Top seat is the best seat. You won’t regret it.
Great experience, completely narrated interesting, fun, and a good way to explore Houston. On a double-decker bus
Bus ride was great. Saw lots of sites. I was expecting a bit more information on the murals but overall feel the tour was a great value.
Very interesting—it lets you explore Houston and discover places you might want to visit later. The information provided was interesting.
A fab way to get a sense of the city, learn some history and see the main sights to decide what you want to see in more depth later in tbe day. Our driver was great, adding to the recorded narrative frequently to point out murals and drive slowly to make sure we didn't miss any! With the city being quite spread out it was a great way to get your bearings. Would 100% recommend this tour!
Friendly and informative. Passed lots of great murals and City districts. Only travels through museum district quickly and wished we could have seen more places and attractions.
It was very informative tour and I got to see a lot of murals around the city and the tour guide was very funny n cheerful
It was ok, nothing to rave about. The driver was nice but the tour guide was subpar. I thought we would be able to get off the bus and take pictures at different stops and we were unable to. I’d explore a different bus tour if I am back in Houston and would suggest others do the same .
Great way to see and learn about the history of Houston. Great to get a live tour rather than recorded.
Tour was something to do, the tour guide was a bit annoying with her singing, and senseless remarks. The ride was nice and something to do in Houston.
Nice way to discover the city, and to see it all. Great history and opportunity to see murals. Would do again
The tour was very nice. Learning more about the city is always fun. Houston is an amazing place and this tour really highlights that.
Pick up location was perfect lots of parking and it’s not expensive. Driver (Manuel) was excellent and he did the commendation as well
We enjoyed all of the sights and tour info, history, etc. We had a wonderful trip. The guide went above and beyond to help us. Thank you Manual!
This was a terrible experience. We missed our flight due to bad weather and Viator refused to change our ticked date. We did not want a refund only to change our date. Any international traveler DO NOT BOOK WITH VIATOR.
Interesting tour - great murals to see. Worth the trip.
We are visiting from California. It was a very smooth day. The GPS took us right to the parking lot just steps away from the meeting point. The meeting point is actually a cute store and I ended up buying a hat and glasses ($85) lol. it’s a great place to take pictures and get the whole Houston feel going. They serve specialty coffee and tea. They had a lot of snacks too: fruit cookies chips ice cream drinks (nonalcoholic). The bus pulled up (very well kept impressive looking double-decker roofless, red bus ) right front of the store a.k.a. the meeting place and we were able to board right away. Everything was right on time and if you’re wondering it’s mostly recorded tour thank God…so the driver can focus on driving. I think this is a great way to start a trip. That way you can get familiar with the city and make informed notes on places you want go to and experience. The only non positive thing was the trees were not completely trimmed throughout the route of the bus and I saw the guy in front of me get hit with a branch and he was checking to see if he was bleeding so it must’ve hurt right (lots of ducking our heads after that) but i didn’t let it ruin the vibe. I especially enjoyed that they not only took us around Downtow but they touched-down on all the other things about the city: the underground tunnels that are climate controlled with access throughout the city buildings and offer drinks and food down there too! it took us to the opposite end of town …maybe that was the north end of town? : show us the train route and how much it cost ($1.25) and the museum parts of Houston. also parts that are not so glamorous. Giving us a 360 view of things. history is always good. it was great for my friend who just moved here 3 months ago. Keep up the good work. Wish I could post some pictures hopefully viator will add that option soon.
When we arrived to the visitor center office at 11 am in downtown for our 11:30 am tour, the office was closed. A representative opened the door just to tell us that our tour was cancelled due to not completing the minimum of passengers. We were offered to wait until the 1:30 pm tour or get a refund. After 15 min waiting for a refund, we were told the tour has been scheduled for 11:45 am. We did the tour for 1 hour and a half not the 2 hours booked.
Our tour guide was wonderful. She was funny, informative and very detailed.
Our driver was amazing, I forgot her name. Give her a paid day off! In your instructions, bring a hat or umbrella to protect from Sun.
My guide was very friendly & informative, and I learned a lot on this tour. It's cool to see the city from the upper deck
A great way to experience the city and get your bearings quickly! The tour takes around 1 hr 20 mins. There are 2 stops that you can get off to explore more and wait for the pick up bus which is around 80 mins later, but we did not do that. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and good at pointing out the sites as we travelled the city. It was good way for us to understand the layout of the City and decide which things we wanted to visit later and spend more time looking at / doing.
Great guide. Very knowledgeable and witty. Made the trip very interesting
Great tour, lots of murals, and a friendly guide. Wear lots of sunscreen if you are sitting on the top!
Despite what it says in the description, this is not an accessible activity. Yes, a person in a wheelchair can technically get on, but can’t see anything and there is no air conditioning available. No refund granted.
Had a great time! Loved the driver she made the experience of the city very educational. Just wish they had more shade on the top of the bus. Besides that perfect!
It was a fantastic experience especially because of the amazing passionate driver and tour guide Yolanda. Loved her energy , knowledge about the city. She added the extra charm to the experience. Even the guy who was at the your counter was very nice
Our bus driver / tour was a very nice, friendly, knowledgeable lady. Hire more like her!
The bus had no air conditioning in temperature of 108° making the ride extremely uncomfortable. If you are over 60 yeats old, it's not a good idea to ride. I felt sick, headache and nauseated. In addition, the driver refused to stop at the location shown on the map, which caused a significant inconvenience. This experience was disappointing, and I hope these issues are addressed to improve service for future passengers.
Great information about the city and its history. The guide answered all of our questions. He pointed out important landmarks!
Nice bus and the ride was smooth Set up is good. Staff people are professional and courteous. We enjoyed the sights and information.
A well paced, insightful, introductory tour of the City. Just the right amount of time. Learned a lot and some very good photo opportunities.
Excellent tour of Houston. Manuel was very nice and accommodating. Highly recommend this to all visitors of Houston.
Excellent tour! The guide was great about getting us the opportunity for good mural pictures. Learned a lot on this tour and enjoyed seeing the museum district too. Highly recommended.
Very Knowledgeable about the city. The driver skills were very safe. I learn more about Houston in this tour ride than any where else.
First time doing a bus tour. It was informative and fun to go trough the city seeing places I have never seen before.
It was hot but my mom and really enjoyed this tour of Houston. We learned quite a bit. Take the tour with Yolanda... she was fun and entertaining!
Worst trolly ride , basically baked inside,no ac,no open windows, upstairs on top the sun was brutal, seats would have given us a 2nd degree burn, Houston downtown is basically a concrete jungle ! Take the tunnel tour instead with climate control. Maybe winter time would be more tolerable,if you want to see a whole lot of boring concrete buildings.
Pay attention to the tour guide to experience and learn facts about Houston. The tour guide was great
Yolanda was so fun and knowledgeable! She made the tour so fun and enjoyable!
Great tour. Informative and fun. It was amazing seeing all the artwork in various places in the city. Safe drivers and a revealing view of some of the best city murals.
The tour I needed after 30 years in HTOWN. I thought I knew my city but this topped it off. I didn’t even know we had an underground tunnel. We had to explore it after the tour and yes indeed! It exits & it’s amazing! The tour is about 80 minutes and it’s worth every minute. Would do this again!!
Make sure to bring a hat, sunglasses and wear sunscreen for those with sensitive skin. If you sit on the second level, you are completely exposed to the sun and tree branches. Otherwise, great tour, kind staff, and knowledgeable recorded narration on sites.
Tour was as advertised. Worth it. Got a lot of great shots, recommendations for more things to do in the city, and some Houston history.
Great 1.5 hour tour of downtown Houston. Nice way to learn about the city and get your bearings. Yolonda was so great! What a great sense of humor - she really added to the experience!
It was fun and informational. Yolanda made it a fun trip worthwhile. She was quick and to the point as well as throwing in a joke or two to lighten the mood. Overall, it was fun and I'd do it again
Great factual information about the city of Houston. Wonderful murals along the tour route. And interesting facts about the architecture.
A pleasant tour. The Clarity and volume of the sound was very good. However we did not hear much from Manuel the driver. He just spoke at the beginning and at the end. The person getting everybody in line was very pleasant and helpful. The two women working inside were great! However, we're not provided with maps of where our tour bus was going to go. And no bathroom breaks was tough on this old gal. All around us they heard several different languages, including English. However, nothing was in writing for the foreigners.
