Our driver Diane gave us a lot of information about the areas along the drive. We thought she was great
Great visit to Luckenbach and Fredericksburg. Diane was a wonderful tour guide and driver. We really enjoyed seeing the hill country and a different part of Texas. We loved this tour!
Driver Diane was prompt and was an excellent guide! Super friendly and there plenty of time for eating and shopping in Fredericksburg.
The driver was very knowledgeable of the area. She has lived there all of her life. Very accommodating and professional
Brandy is a great tour guide! We took the tour right after a massive rainfall and flood had impacted our travel route. She made helpful suggestions for a slightly different route and also gave us history and additional background on Fredericksburg.
Excellent driver/tour guide. She was knowledgeable. We went through a terrible storm, and I felt safe the whole time,,,
Awesome trip. Needs to be an hour longer for shopping and eating.
Ok, We were just left in Fredericksburg Tx, on are own . No tour. 3 hours no help. Best thing May have been the Military museum.
I enjoyed the shops and restaurants. M husband enjoyed the pacific museum!
Great history about Texas Hill Country, with many shops and dining options, and plenty of time provided in Fredericksburg. Very short, but well worth the stop in Luckenbach! Surprised to see a National Museum of the Pacific in Texas!
Nice drive through Hill country. Fredericksburg is an interesting city with unique stores.
It was such a fun trip I highly recommend doing it. Our tour guide Matt was awesome he had so much knowledge on the area of Texas from our starting point to the end . I would have liked to have 4 hours in town!
Top notch tour director of the Hill Country. Wonderful sense of humor. Very comfortable and clean vehicle. Matt was very knowledgeable of the area, offered human interest stories and had a spot on tour of the wineries we visited. He was accommodating and helpful to the entire group we toured with. I would highly recommend this tour of the hill country and Fredericksburg.
We love our tour guide, Sharon, she was very knowledgeable about the history of the town. We had a great time.
I book dozens of Viator trips each year. This trip was exactly how it was described, but I felt it was way overpriced. We had about 3 1/2 hours on our own. We could’ve drove our rental car there for a fraction of the cost and did the same thing. In my opinion, the fee to enter the museum should’ve been included.
Brandy was amazing! She was a great tour guide as was very knowledgeable of the area! She was prompt and easy going!
Brandy was fantastic. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the San Antonio area. She was so accommodating and patient with a crazy group of 7 women. We had an amazing day visiting New Brunswick.
A great tour guide. Very accommodating. Picked us up at the hotel rather than us going to the pick up point. As elderly tourists, we greatly appreciated that . Very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the history of places we saw
We had a small group of friends visiting San Antonio from out of town. Since I'm the local, I usually take friends to different places. This time I decided to let Texian Tours do the job and that was a great decision. Our guide Matt did a marvelous job of pointing out interesting facts about San Antonio, the Hill Country, Luckenbach and Fredericksburg. The van was comfortable, Matt answered all our questions and kept the conversation lively with all sorts of interesting stories and facts. It was a full day of stories, sights and chuckles. I will definitely contact Texian Tours the next time I plan on a tour of the Hill Country.
Matt was an amazing tour guide!! He was so knowledgeable! The ride was beautiful! I recommend this trip.
What a fun tour and our guide, Matthew, made it even better. He is very informative. Tour was on time and the van was comfortable
The trip was enjoyable! The Hill country was very beautiful and way different than being in the city. We loved love loved Luckenbach, Texas! Just seeing pictures of Willie and Waylon and knowing they had been, there was a fun part of our trip. Fredericksburg was very nice and full of German restaurants, German beer, and wineries
This trip was well worth it. The scenery was beautiful! Luckenbach is such a fun place. Sharon, our guide was knowledgeable and awesome. We had plenty of time to do our own thing at the stops. Got to see an Axis deer on our drive through the hills which is a deer we don’t have in Oregon.
Brandy was awesome. She really knows San Antonio and Fredericksburg like the back f her hand. I would highly recommend this tour to the Wine area.
We had a fabulous time on this tour. Matt was very friendly, offered great historical insight into Hill Country and San Antonio.
This is just what we wanted! We were on vacation in San Antonio and wanted to go to Pacific War Museum in Fredericksburg and didn't want to rent a car. This trip took us from meeting point in San Antonio to Fredericksburg, about an hour away. Brandi picked us up in a nice van and was attentive to what we wanted to do. Along the way we stopped at Luckenbach TX famous for Waylon Jennings song. Such as nice stop. When arrived in Fredericksburg, Brandi pointed out several places we might want to see. The Museum was right across from Visitor Center, our pick up / drop off place. We then had 3 hours to do what we wanted. After Museum she was there to take us back to San Antonio. She even took us to hotel since wasn't far from drop off stop. Highly recommend this as way to get to Fredericksburg. Tripadvisor has all the details and itinerary you need for this tour. You won't be disappointed.
Great locations. I love viator and always use viator First Tour guide not outstanding. We did not take wine tour and see talked about wine more than anything. Very lite knowledge of area
Since the ride was an hour I was hoping our guide would provide more information about the area. This was our first time to San Antonio and we took this tour to learn more about the surrounding area. Wanted to hear more about the historical significance of Fredericksburg and Luckenbach. Would have stayed longer in Luckenbach. Both were nice stops but I left feeling that I had not gained enough knowledge from the experience.
Matt , our guide, was very professional, knowledgeable and punctual. The weather was a bit wet but we can’t complain about that. Thank you.
I guess I was expecting more of a quaint country village. Couldn't hear the guide and the van was quite warm and very bumpy.
Great day trip to go on! Our drivers were very friendly and informative. We enjoyed stopping in Luckenbach as well as the fabulous downtown of Fredericksburg.
Enjoyed the stop on the way to Fredericksburg. Wished we had just a little more time, so many shops to visit, I felt I might not have time for a sit-down lunch, so I opted for pastries. All in all, great tour.
We had a great guide who gave us plenty of time to roam. Our group was small which was nice. The midsized van was very Co.gortable. I think our guide was Jim and he was very knowledgeable
Great way to see the countryside outside of San Antonio. Diana was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Excellent outing!
fWe loved stopping at Luckenbach and walking around, visiting the post office and gift shop. However, when you look at the picture on the Viator app where we booked all our tours, it shows a group of people under a small hut and what seems to be a village where we would find many shops, eating places etc. It's not that at all. Instead we are dropped off at a particular meeting spot and are released to shop around by ourselves, kind of self discovery on our own. It would have been nice that this tour was described more accurately that it was not a guided experience. Also the guide could have pointed out places of interest and favorite restaurants, etc.
Matt was funny and knowledgeable. We really liked the short stop in luckenbach. There were lots of little shops in Fredericksburg.
Matt was accommodating, friendly and knowledgeable. He made the tour personal with his “personal” - sharing where he was born, married, etc. as it was all along the way. He’s clearly passionate about his home which made us equally enthusiastic.
We had such a good time on this tour. Brandy was AMAZING! She provided great information and was so fun. We never felt rushed and she was so accommodating to our rowdy crew. Fredericksburg is so chill. We wish we could have stayed longer! Definitely a must to get outside of San Antonio and do a little exploring with a lot of cold beverages!!
Fredericksburg is an interesting town filled with wine, shopping, and eating opportunities. It is a really nice community... interesting German heritage.
Fredericksburg was so much fun! The shops and dining were delightful! Luchenbach was a fun blast from old times. Our driver was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot from him on the drive north to Hill Country.
Brandy was an incredible host. Clean and comfortable vehicle along with insightful history of the area. We ended up staying an extra hour because the group was having such a good time.. I highly recommend this tour. It’s a great value to see the beauty of hill country with a personal perspective. Thanks Brandy!
Fredericksburg was fun but Brandy our tour guide was great and made our trip memorable. The country side was beautiful and relaxing. Going to Luchenbach was cool.
Brandy was an excellent driver and tour guide. Being a local, she gave us lots of info and history about the area. The drive to Fredericksburg was on the back roads so we got to see some of the country side and Hill Country. Luckenbach was a cute place for a quick stop. Fredericksburg has lots of cute shops and places to eat and drink. We really enjoyed our tour!
We loved this trip. Adam was great and very knowledgeable. He gave great suggestions and went out of his way to make it a fantastic experience. I would highly recommend!
Great Trip Great Tour Guide - Just enough for a memorable day trip. Tour Guide very knowledgeable and informative. Good eating and shopping in the area.
Adam was a great driver on a fun day trip from San Antonio. He was very accommodating and prompt when picking us up.
A glorified van ride. The van driver didn’t have a mic so we had a hard time hearing her. The “Excursion” of $97 was overpriced.
Melanie was great and the experience was great! Nice air conditioned van and we ran on time. It would be nice to offer a 4 hour option for those that may want to stay and shop a little longer :)
Great trip. Our tour guide was friendly and fun!!! Would recommend this trip to my family and friends
