Destiny was a fantastic server. The food and atmosphere on the Riverwalk were both awesome...

Very Expensive. One chicken finger plate with one mixed drink after tax and tip $44. Chicken fingers were good and so was the service. Yes, I know it's on the River Walk
The manger at this establishment is very rude i asked why I was be charged for the cups twice and he said I can’t explain why they charge you and couldn’t explain to me what the extra charge was for and tried to make up some excuse what the extra charge was and was very rude i can see why this establishment has very bad ratings I contacted corporate office and I am a food critic and I will be writing a story about it this establishment about rude service from the management in this company and I will not recommend anybody come to this establishment bad customer service and very bad management.
The Riverwalk magical during Christmas. We've been to many Hard Rock Cafe's across the globe. We have been to them at very peak times. We have been to them at slow times, etc. We went to SA Hard Rock on 12/28/25. The Alamo Bowl right around the corner. It was very busy approximately an hour wait for a table. We didn't want to wait for a table, so we wanted to sit at the bar on street level. This is where it started. Noticing there were at least 5 open seats at the bar. Probably, someone at higher level at the front stopped us. Told us we cannot sit at the bar & will need to go downstairs to the one down there. We went to that one on a previous day. I have two bad hips. I told her that it's not good for me to go down those stairs at that time. Are there seats available down there? No answer. She would not budge. Policy or whatever. Told her we want to speak to a manager. He came & had to tell him my situation. He told me there's an elevator outside. We found not all elevators are operable on the Riverwalk. So, we convinced him to let us sit at a high-top table but not the bar. He told me I was upset. Ok, moral to the story. I've never been anywhere where I get turned away or forbidden from a bar unless there is bad behavior. Also, believe me I've been to many, many bars all shapes & sizes. Disappointed.
Went for an evening meal. Despite having a reservation, we still had to wait. We were eventually seated beside the Riverwalk and the ambience was great. Unfortunately the service from our female server was the worst any of our group had experienced in years. 25 minutes after ordering food, two of us were told they no longer had our choices and then commenced an upsell of more expensive, available items. The service was chaotic from start to finish which may have been somewhat to do with understaffing, but sadly I think more to do with incompetence. The one bonus was the food – it was delicious – so kudos to the chef team. Despite that, we will never return.
Service was good and quick and staff was easy going just make sure you print your voucher. They have to have an actual copy of the voucher for their books.
It is a good option for a casual meal. You will stumble upon it while strolling in the Riverwalk area. The food is standard fare but the atmosphere is relaxed and joyful.
This restaurant is on the riverwalk in San Antonio. My friends and I stopped in for lunch on a weekday. We sat outdoors which was awesome! Tables have umbrellas so even in a warm day it’s not too bad. The view of course was amazing since you’re on the water. Service was excellent and food was great! I got the spicy diablo burger and although it didn’t seem that spicy to me it was juicy and delicious! I would definitely eat here again !
Since I went to the Alamo I had to complete my San Antonio trip with the HRC. Love walking around looking at the memorabilia. The food is good and the service is excellent
Great HRC - lovely staff & food. The general manager took time out to come and say hello to me. We had a great chat :) The waitress Gabby was great. Very friendly & genuine, which is quite hard to find these days.
Have not been in a Hard Rock restaurant for a while. We were strolling along the river walk and decided to have dinner here. Great service! Recommend the hurricane for a drink. Everyone in our group loved their dinner choices.
While strolling on the San Antonio Riverwalk, I found myself at the entrance of the iconic “Hard Rock Cafe”. The interior was predictably adorned with rock memorabilia: guitars, records, and posters. The menu choices mirrored those of other Hard Rock Cafes worldwide: burgers piled high, nachos smothered in cheese, and towering milkshakes: nothing more than you would expect. Yet, as I sipped my cocktail and fries, I couldn’t help but steal glances outside. The Riverwalk, with its meandering pathways, lush greenery ans boats floated by filled of passengers waving cheerfully. So the real feast of the place was the view.
Awesome time! We got there during the dinner rush, but were seated promptly with great service by Chris E! The food was fantastic, drinks were good, and it was well worth the crowd.
Hard Rock Cafe advertised that it was honoring veterans on Veterans Day 11 November 2023 and it did with a delicious hamburger, fries and glass of water. The hamburger was wonderful and the bun was very good too. I liked the staff, the decor, the pictures on the wall and stories about the entertainers. Also, the bathroom was clean and other patrons seemed to be enjoying themselves.
Do live the vibe in a hard rock cafe and looking at memorabilia on walls. This was fairly lively on a Sunday night. Enjoyed our fajitas, burger and brownie dessert.
When in a major city, dine at its Hard Rock we say! We did a Open Table Resy for our visit...if you know, you know! The atmosphere was typical and our waiter, while overwhelmed, did his best. My husband ordered my usual chicken tender plate, while I ordered their steak fajitas...both were yummy! Of course we had to shop for more Hard Rock gear before we left!
Everything about our experience from beginning to end was terrible. The hostess put us down for a table of 9 instead of 2. This caused multiple parties that arrived after us to be seated ahead of us. The manager tries to make this right by offering a free appetizer that they later charge and we pay for. The chicken tenders were burnt.
Miss Isabel was an attentive bartender friendly and personable. The food came fast and was presented well, I had a bacon cheeseburger, my wife had nachos with guacamole and is still having about the guacamole. For drinks my wife had a screw driver she said the pour was perfect and I had a bud light. Enjoyed our experience, thank you!
Usually if you go to a chain the food and service is consistent The same for this location. We had a table on the River Walk which made for a nice evening dinner. It was packed and we had about a 30 minute wait, which we spent at the bar. Even as packed as they were, the service at the bar and our table was quite good. Happy, friendly staff. No one had any complaints on their food. We were able to order promptly and food came out in standard time.
Went with the family for our daughter’s birthday. Not the most exciting Hard Rock that I have ever been to as I have been to 20 of them all over the world. Service was great which is saying something now a days. The food however was disappointing and of all thinks to skimp on French fries. Really come on and the burgers shrank as well.
The restaurant had a bad odor I think they were having sewer problems Didn’t eat just a few drinks went elsewhere to eat Not a good experience
We came here with a hundred students on a school trip. The staff was quick and accommodating. Friendly service. Beautiful views.
Food was OK...not as good as other Hard Rock locations..everything was exceptionally over salted. Waitress Shantel was amazing. Spot on service and bright spot of the meal.
This is a nice stop along the river walk. Service was good and the food was also good. They had live music and it was enjoyable.
Really good pulled pork sandwich and onion ring tower and cheesecake ! Nice server too. I liked that there was a variety of indoor and outdoor seating and that we didn’t feel rushed
We went there as a family. It can get noisy. The food was good. At our table several entrees were ordered to include burgers, ribs and salads. The only negative to me were the menu options. They don’t have much to choose from, especially when it comes to appetizers.
The food was great. Hostess was super nice. We really enjoyed the lemonade. Everyone was pretty friendly inside of the restaurant.
We went there dec 12 for our anniversary. Could have waited for a table or go to the bar. Found 2 spots at the bar had the best food and drinks. Our bartender was truly one of the best we have ever had. We go here for a drink every time we go to San Antonio for our anniversary. Always great but this lady was just amazing. I wish I would've remembered her name. Worth every penny.
My brother and I visited San Antonio for a few days and ate at a number of restaurants. The experience at the Hard Rock was an excellent experience. We sat at the bar and were able to charge our electronic devices as there were plugs there. The staff were pleasant as well and the food was excellent. Well worth a visit.
Went with friends for a meal on the riverbank. Disappointingly there were "pigeons" everywhere.. and then when they landed on a table the table was not cleaned with disinfectant.. soured what should of been a relaxing atmosphere otherwise
This Hard rock is on the riverside and we stopped here for a drink and the Rock shop being Hard Rock Cafe fans Very friendly and helpful staff who were very knowledgable which does go a long way with us at least Recommended Enjoy
Great place for a quick dinner. Had the pulled pork sandwich and it was great. Hubby had the bbq wings and they were perfect
Was not impressed, over priced burgers. Fries undercooked. Slow service and during middle of the week, and before lunch crowd.
Went with two other couples and was not impressed in the least. Placed smelled horrible and draft beer was barely cool.
The food was excellent, the atmosphere was like always very enjoyable and the service was also very good.

Nothing different. The menu options are very limited

Not very good. it took three hours to get in an out . the manager in charged did not know much about the coupon. they blamed the waiter that started one week ago.

There is almost nothing left of the rock soul. 80% pop music. In Johannesburg they changed music when I asked, here in San Antonio they didn't. It is now a restaurant for tourists who believe they are going somewhere cool. Rejected for good.
As a fan of the HRC, visiting the cafe in San Antonio was almost a must. The restaurant is centrally located on the River Walk and has a relatively large number of seats. We ordered the Spare Ribs and were not disappointed. The portion was huge and probably one portion would have been enough for both and we didn't need an appetizer or dessert either. Service was friendly and attentive. The shop was good and offers a relatively large selection of T-shirts. Price certainly not quite cheap, but you certainly get fed up.
I don't know why I keep going there...staff totally stressed, took the order from afar and of course got everything wrong. He got really annoyed, but then brought the right thing. In the invoice of course the friendly reference to the min. 18% Tip😉
As always the hard rock cafe never disappoints, in this case we had dinner outside overlooking the canal, the food was always up to par
Service is so bad, I couldn't even eat my burger. They didn’t put cutlery on, they didn’t carry my drink, they didn’t put tomato sauce on and finally they never carried napkins. I didn't tip and put in the Bad Service account. I hope the supervisors see it and try to improve. No wonder the score they have on TripAdvisor
