This tour was good and informative. It was a little hot outdoors and could not enjoy walking around the Japanese garden!

Alex was a great guide. We enjoyed all of the special things we learned about San Antonio!
45 minutes to see anything isn’t enough time unfortunately however our driver was raised here and was much more interesting than Wednesday trip!
It was excellent in every way. Alex, my guide, was extremely knowledgeable and very engaging. He loves his city!!!!
Loved Japanese gardens and they dropped off the Alamo. Mother and daughter traveled with us. Liked artist sculpture. Wish I had more than 30 minutes at Japanese gardens. The tour guide gave us a good history of art on the tour. Beautiful scenery of San Jose mission of the church.
Alex our guide was so knowledgeable about the area. Very considerate, funny and overall a pleasure to have as a guide. We had eight of us, all family, and all of us had a great time. Thank you Alex for our tour.
If I could give zero stars, I would. It advertised that they would pick you up at your hotel if it was downtown. We were staying at the Marriott at Riverwalk, but it wasn't an option . I picked one i thought would be close, but not knowing the area, it was a 25 min walk to get on the tour. I messaged my driver about a closer pick-up location and got no response. I walked 25 min to the pick-up location and arrived 15 min early as instructed. There was no one there to pick me up, and I did not get a call that anything had changed. I waited 20 min and messaged the driver twice. After no response, I called the contact number on my confirmation email. After explaining my situation and being told to contact my driver, they finally found out my tour had been canceled. No information was given as to why, and no one seemed to know what was going on. They did issue a full refund, but it ruined my entire afternoon. I won't be booking with them again. I had limited time and was looking forward to seeing San Antonio.
Alec was excellent tour guide. Highly recommend to experience San Antonio. SW many areas you would not know about alone
I spent 75 $, but no one showed up to pick me up. I called them 3 times, but no one picked up the phone. I waited for 90 min. My money is ripped and is asking for refund if possible.
Domingo was fantastic!! Showed us all of San Antonio and very knowledgeable. Would highly recommend!!
We did a half day tour in a small van with 5 other people. It was comfortable and fun. Our guide was Domingo and he was genuinely interested in sharing the history of San Antonio. This tour is a nice compliment to the Hop On/Off bus. If you are really interested in culture and history, spend a few extra bucks for this tour.
The tour was informative and enlightening. Our tour guide Alex was amazing and had a great spirit. He was very knowledgeable and took his time explaining each site we visited which I appreciated.
Enjoyed the visit and history of missions. Domingo provided good background history of establishment of missions in San Antonio area.
Domingo was amazing! My sister and I came to San Antonio for a couple of days and had the honor of a private tour! Domingo was just like one of our brothers giving us a tour! Very knowledgeable and down-to-earth, kind and considerate! Best tour guide ever! Thanks Domingo! Your biggest fans… Rose and Ruth
Had been to San Antonio before so, didn't want to do the downtown morning tour. This one fit the bill and guide Alex was personable and great! Showed us lesser known parts of the city, The Pearl, upper San Antonio River, and the mission. It was just enough.
Our driver did a nice job of showing us different areas around town, and finding unusual things to point out.
Lots of great photo opportunities, our guide Alex G was funny and very knowledgeable, good pace, comfortable ride. Highly recommended
Domingo was great, very knowledgeable and funny kept us engaged the entire trip. Really liked not being pressured to hurry along he gave us extra time to take pictures and stop and take all of history in. Definitely recommend this if you’re not a fan of the Texas heat.
We especially enjoyed the second mission we visited. Enjoyed seeing different parts of San Antonio that we’ve never seen before. Just really enjoyed driving around the city.
mission. Japanese garden... would like more history. stopped b the Allomo but did not view even though we asked to do so.
Let me start by saying that our tour leader, Alex, was wonderful. He gave a very nice tour of the things that we did see on our half day tour. Alex was well informed and did a great job of conveying the history of San Antonio as well as his pride in the city. The low score is the result of the company canceling the stops at the Japanese Garden and the grotto. We completely understood why the stops were canceled because the locations were so busy that we could not have seen the attractions in the time allotted to the tour. However. We did not learn of the cancellations until we were onboard the bus and the tour was underway. We signed up for this tour in large part because of the stop at the Japanese Garden. It seems unethical not to inform passengers that two major parts of the tour were unavailable. I give our tour leader 5 stars and the Grayline Company 2 stars.
Domingo was a great tour guide. I recommend anyone who first time coming to San Antonio to book this event. It's very fundamental and knowledgeable.
The sites and information provided were awesome and interesting! Alex was very engaging and knowledgeable.
Alex did a wonderful job. I learned a lot about San Antonio! The mission and the Japanese garden were the highlights!
We enjoyed our tour very much. Our guide was very knowledgeable and did a great job. He picked us up right on time and took us to many great spots to see.
Our guide Alex was great and explained all our stops well. Well informed. Van comfortable. A very enjoyable afternoon
Alex was an excellent tour guide enjoyed visiting the mission, gardens and learning about some of the history of San Antonio. Everything was informative and very interesting
As luck would have it, I was the only one who signed up for the afternoon tour. I guess other people were too entwined with Day of the Dead activities. This left me one on in one with my tour guide Alex. I appreciated all that he shared. His knowledge on the background of the Mission Unesco World Heritage site was especially meaningful. Hope you are fortunate enough to get Alex when you sign up for your tour.
In spite of a rainy start, this tour was the highlight of our visit to San Antonio! Alex G was timely picking us up, informative, helpful and a great host! He knew a lot of local history and was able to really explain what and where in history we were being exposed to!! Can't say enough positive things about our tour, A+++++++. The Whites..
Domingo called us to give a pick up time and was very prompt. He gave us so much history of San Antonio. His knowledge of the city was very impressive. His pride in San Antonio was obvious. We stopped at the Mission, Pearl District, Japanese Gardens and the The Grotto. We had just the right amount of time at each place. Domingo was very accommodating and even dropped us off at the Alamo at the end when he heard we were going there after. We loved his sense of humor. We highly recommend this afternoon tour and especially Domingo!
A little disappointing that we only saw one mission. We were under the understanding we would see more.
So interesting and informative! Our Guide Alex was great! Sets just the right tone and he is very knowledgeable about San Antonio. Highly recommend!
With only two of us on the van we were able to have a custom tour. Driver was interesting and knowledgeable.
Went to a number of different sites we wouldn’t have otherwise seen. I especially liked the tour guide, Loretta, because she was low-key and gave people space to explore on their own if they wanted to. She’s also delightful and great company. I would say they should take out the house with the art as that wasn’t very interesting and seems like a waste of time. Maybe let people go into the food hall and get some food instead. We really enjoyed seeing the missions and some parts of San Antonio. We never would have even thought to visit, like that veterans space maybe more time there instead of the art house. People could even give a donation. Thanks for offering the tour and thank you Loretta. 💕🌸
This Graylines tour, SPECIFICALLY WITH ALEX, OUR TOUR GUIDE, was one of the best experiences we've had in San Antonio. And we've spent 4-7 days there every year for the past 24 years. Alex showed and told us things we never knew about San Antonio, and now we have new things to visit and explore on our trip next year! He was so kind, funny, personable and with a wealth of knowledge about the city, its present and its past. We plan on taking another Graylines tour in San Antonio next year, and hope it's with Alex again. Thank you, Alex!
Alex G was a great tour guide. We saw more of Sam Antonio then we would if we just walked around downtown area.
Alex was an excellent tour guide. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and funny! He was also a safe driver and knew his way around town. We learned a lot during this tour and will be coming back to several locations per his advice. Thank you for a great afternoon, Alex!!
On a chilly December day we waited in the comfortable lobby of our hotel in front of the fire until we were picked up in a small cozy van by Alex G. I like it when it’s a small group, and that was exactly what we had; a friendly group of 4 couples. The others had been on the full day tour, so we came in 1/2 way through. I chose the 1/2 day because Viator had a schedule of what we’d do on the different tours, and I was interested in in the afternoon part. Alex was great. I really got a sense of how San Antonio has grown in recent years. We did a little of past San Antonio and a little of the present. We road some and got out some. I thought it was very well planned. When it was over it was just as easy for Alex to drop us at the restaurant we planned to go to for dinner, so he did. Thoroughly enjoyable experience.
The tour guide was very informative and we saw many of the sites around San Antonio. We have a much better insight into the history of the city after taking this tour.
We sat in the car waiting for bus that never came!! Worst experience ever. Had 9 people very disappointed Terrible experience
The whole trip was informative & enjoyable. Something new to see all along the way. Our driver was very courteous.
Get around the San Antonio area as very easy with tour guidance! They where very knowledgeable at the area plus had cold water on those hot days!!!
I thought I sined up for the San Antonio tour, but I found out that that was morning tour. Afternoon tour was further oitof thr city core. A bit disappointing. But Alex helped full in the blanks. Alex was an excellent guide and even made a suggestion for a dinner restaurant.
Alex was a knowledgeable and friendly tour guide. We enjoyed us tending to his knowledge of the area and the little extra he did.
Loved the missions ! Then a looping tour up north & to the Japanese Gardens. Only complaint: guide was not quiet in old mission churches (signs clearly asked guides to give presentations outside) & spoke loudly though folks around were obviously praying.
Alex our tour guide was wonderful. He was very informative and funny. We learned a lot about the city of San Antonio.
Alex was a great tour guide telling us lots about The history of the missions etc He also accommodated our requests. I really liked the Japanese tea gardens and the grotto by the riverside. Great tour. I recommend
One of the best experiences. Very educational and fun, small group setting is very enjoyable. Our host Alex was amazing.
The history of the establishment of the missions by the Franciscan Monks and the rugged life they led was fascinating.
Our guide, Alex, did a fantastic job for us! We got a personalized tour, of which, Alex was very knowledgeable. The pace of the tour was perfect for us. Highly recommended!
