Fredericksburg Wine Tour With Three Winery Stops Plus Lunch

Rex was a great host with a wealth of knowledge. We toured Bingham, William Crist (sp) and Signoury (sp) Wineries and it was a great experience.

It was a fun experience. We visited three beautiful wineries and tasted a lot of great wines! I even got to live on a pup while we were enjoying our wine😉

Great day to see more of Fredricksburg and taste a variety of nice wines. Rex was our guide and he was great...friendly and allowed us as much time as we wanted to enjoy the tastes and sites of Texas Hill County! Highly recommend!

Our guide (Rex) from 19th Hole Tours did an EXCELLENT JOB taking us to wineries near Fredericksburg. His communication was excellent (contacted us the week before to pick wineries and discuss lunch options). Our favorite stop was at Baron's Creek Winery... we highly recommend it even though we are not big wine enthusiasts. Their food is good too!

My wife and I have been on many wine tours here in Fredricksburg and this was the absolute WORST! There was a miscommunication with our pickup time, the driver was terrible, constantly looking down at her phone for directions and swerving left to right the entire time. She missed her turn twice and had to back track. Our first stop, Signor winery, we were told lunch would be served. When we asked our server, she said no, we don't serve lunch, you can purchase a sandwich from the market. This opened up a huge can of confusion because we were told different and this was a $325 per person tour! Rex then told the server that we could have a sandwich or charcuterie board and charge it to him. Absolutely unorganized causing a sh** show with us and the family with us. The wineries were beautiful, the wine was delicious. At Becker winery, you get about 2 cap falls of wine to taste. At Grape Creek winery, you have to stand at the bar for your hour plus tasting, not enjoyable. No bar stools. Everyone was uncomfortable. I'll make certain that I never use 19th Hole again. They were extremely unprofessional and unorganized.

Rex is an excellent conversationalist. He’s friendly, somewhat knowledgeable on wine, and picked 2 out of 3 excellent wineries. His venue selection for lunch was very good as well. Unfortunately one of the 3 vineyards selected was only in business 3 years and served a selection of TX & California wines. This was not my expectation. Rex should improve his wine knowledge a bit. Yet the experience was very good due in part to Rex.

What a great experience! 30 th birthday celebration and Rex and Rena could not have done a better job! Picked us up in San Antonio and did all the driving for a week. Great job and spot on communication and timing ! Wine tasting great job and showed us luckenbach great little ( 3 person town). Would recommend them to anyone if need transportation or a wine tour. Great Job!

Really enjoyed the stops and other guests. Three stops would have been plenty. Definitely recommend The choices around Fredricksburg are plenty so no matter what winery is on the agenda you will enjoy. Rex kept us on time and was extremely attentive to our group’s needs.

The guide was so helpful! He was able to pick us up and drop us off at our vacation rental house! The wine tastings were all so good!

Our tour guide Rex picked us up in his large van at 10:00 AM and kept us on pace to tour four wineries with time for a sandwich lunch he provided. Highly recommended.

Rex was very accommodating and catered to our desire for a new wine tasting experience. We have taken a tour with him 3 times and each time we went to a new winery. I like using Rex because he drives while we’re able to drink responsibly. He picks us up from our location and drops us off. Lunch was a sandwich from a local shop and they were filling and delicious, served with a huge cookie for dessert! This tour is a group thing but every group we have been with has been entertaining.

Rex was a delightful wine tasting tour guide! He knows the area well and knows all the winery hosts. He is flexible and prepared. He took us to a nice variety of wineries. We would totally use him again next time we come to Fredericksburg. Thank you Rex. Oh - and we love the name - 19th Hole Winery Tours!

I booked a wine tour with Rex and 19th Hole Wine Tours for my baby sister’s bachelorette party this past weekend. There were 11 of us girls and everyone agreed the tour and Rex were fantastic! From first contact Rex as helpful and professional. He recommended wineries that were good for our size group and that would have great photo ops (a very important thing for our bride to be). The sandwich shop Rex got us lunch from was delicious as well. On the tour Rex was personable and full of information. The tour bus was clean and professional inside and out. I hadn't been to Fredericksburg in about 9 years and so much had changed. The main street was bigger with more places to shop and eat and according to Rex, there were ten times the amount of wineries (from 6 to 60)! We started with Pedernales, which is a personal favorite of mine because the wine is delicious and the place is calm and classy with a great porch area. Here the tasting was fixed and we all tasted the same 8 wines. Rex secured us a private tasting room here and we got to keep the glasses which was nice. Next we went to 4.0 Cellars (a Rex recommended stop) which had a bunch a great tasting options. I also learned that this winery gets wines from 3 different wine makers and changes its selection menus monthly. We had lunch here in the beautiful outdoor space where there was live music. The next stop at Southold Farm and Cellar was everyone's favorite by far though. This was recommended by Rex for its spectacular views and it did not disappoint! Located at the top of a high hill, this small single room tasting house had the best view and ambiance of any winery I have ever been to. The tasting room had large windows on every wall giving great views during our tasting. The wine maker’s father did our tasting and told endearing stories about the family and the wine making. The wines were not my cup of tea for the most part, but I always like to try new types of wine. Oh and the dog there is amazing. His name is Waldo and he was happy to pose for all the photos we wanted with him. The back porch here has several porch swings faced toward the best views in Fredericksburg. Southold is a must see! Finally, we went Fat Ass Winery and Ranch, a selection of mine. The wine here was not good in my opinion, but if you want a lively party this is the place to be! The atmosphere is upbeat and full of life. No sniffing the bouquet or wine spit buckets at Fat Ass. No way! I did like their frozen wine though. Book a tour with Rex and 19th Hole Wine Tours and you cannot go wrong!

We wanted a service to take us to very specific wineries and came across 19th hole. From booking our trip to the day of the event, Rex was highly responsive and wonderful to work with. He took care of booking a reservation where needed, planned the order of Winery visits based on location/reservation time, and got us a great lunch from a local spot. We had plenty of time at each winery and never felt rushed. Rex has a great personality and runs a great business. We will definitely use 19th Hole for our future trips to Fredericksburg!

We had a great experience. He was very knowledgeable about the area and wineries. We let him help us decide and he had great suggestions. Super nice guy and easy to talk to.

Rex picked up my husband and I right on time for our tour. He was friendly, helpful and showed a true passion for Texas Wine Country! The wineries he selected for us (at our request) were all lovely and so, so beautiful! Book your next wine tour with 19th Hole - start to finish the experience was fantastic, truly memorable:)

Our tour guide, Rex, did an excellent job of taking us to 4 different wineries in the Fredericksburg area. He was actually very friendly and knowledgeable guide about the area. We’ll use him again on our return to Fredericksburg
