Fredericksburg Texas Area Wine Tastings: 3 Wineries And Lunch

We enjoyed our day! Michelle was a great host. Our favorite was Meierstone. Our group was super fun too!

Michelle was our guide and she did an excellent job and made the tour especially sweet. We stopped at Meierstone and William & Chris. Both excellent stops. Third stop at Texas Wine Collective was disappointing and not worth the money. The server there was poor, and only one out of six glasses was just OK, and the others were just bad. Overall a good experience and kudos to Michelle for her knowledge of everything the region has to offer. She made some great recommendations that we will follow up on in the next few days.

We had a very good time. Our driver Paul was the best!! The first vineyard we went to was William Chris and it was beautiful, the wine was amazing and the presentation was excellent. However, we were disappointed in the other two vineyards that were chosen. Their presentation consisted of pouring wine into tasting glasses with no commentary, and we didn’t like the wine served. The third visit was ok. Lesson learned is not all vineyards are worth going to. There are plenty of really good ones. I personally had to request william Chris and I feel without that the tour would have been disappointing. Just be aware of that.

Michelle was our fantastic tour guide! She got us safely to our 3 wineries and told us about every winery we passed. We had a great time. The wineries were fantastic! We had a great day!

Michelle was INCREDIBLE! She was so fun and kind and made the whole experience perfect. She is the reason we will be back! The wine was also great, the vineyards were adorable, and the food was delicious.

We scheduled a moms & daughters wine tour to celebrate a birthday. We were asked in advance for our wine preference - all of us indicating white. While not on a private tour, we were a group of 7 and 5 of 7 indicated a white preference. The tour took us to 3 wineries, one being completely all red and a second mostly red. Why ask for our preferences to only take us to the opposite preference wineries? One of those two was so rushed. We practically had to chug each tasting because they were ready to pour the next wine about 2 minutes later. A group of 15 walked in 10 minutes after us and it became obvious they wanted to move on from us and focus on them - you could tell they were regulars. For us to spend the money that we did for 4 people on this tour, our experience fell way below expectations. And the tour operator afterwards was unresponsive for over a week after repeated texts, emails and calls. I will say one good thing. Our driver Paul was GREAT. The only bright spot of this day.

We still went to one winery that was mostly red and another that was only red. One stop also felt very rushed. It did not feel like our preference was considered. The follow-up afterward was also poor. Overall, it was not the birthday experience I hoped for.

I understand this was not a private tour, but it felt like our preference was ignored. If white wine options are that limited, they should have told us before the tour. The follow-up was just as frustrating. I emailed right away, then followed up several times by email, text, and voicemail with no response. I only got a reply after messaging on Facebook. Overall, the tour did not match what we asked for, one stop was rushed, and the lack of communication afterward was very disappointing.

I would not recommend this tour. Our group of 4, out of 7 total guests, clearly communicated in advance that we preferred white wine. Despite that, we were taken to 3 wineries, including one that was mostly red wine and another that served only red wine. One of the winery visits also felt very rushed, which took away from the overall experience. While I understand that an open-ticket tour cannot guarantee every preference, it seemed like our request was not taken into consideration AT ALL. The lack of follow-up was also disappointing. I contacted the company immediately after the tour and then followed up several times by email, text, and voicemail without receiving a response. The only way I was able to get a reply was by reaching out through Facebook. Overall, the winery selections did not come close to aligning with our stated preferences, one stop felt rushed, and the poor communication afterward made the experience even more frustrating. For these reasons, I would not recommend this tour.

Michelle was very down to earth, knowledgeable, and treated us all like she'd know us forever! Great interaction!

Super fun keep an open mind , people are a little quiet at first but by the end everyone is chatting it up

We had a great time on our tour. Walt, our guide, was fabulous! He was very friendly and knowledgeable about many aspects of Fredericksburgh and the wine country.

Our tour of 11, had 3 different groups of friends that didn’t know each other. From the first pickup our tour guide, Michelle was an excellent team builder, leader and teacher. Our second stop, William Chris, was difficult due to rain and seating issues by the winery. Michelle pulled it all together like a pro and made a frustrating situation manageable. Our third and last stop, Meierstone was the best! Thanks to Michelle, Our group bonded into a family,

Our host was great! The van was clean and they had storage in the back for bottles that we purchased. The only downside is we felt a little rushed at the 2nd and 3rd venues.

Michelle was a great tour guide. The pacing was good between wineries. We really enjoyed the first 2 but could have done without the last one. The owner was very nice but we were confused with too many options for wine with little explanations.

The tour was so much fun! The places we visited were great! The lunch provided was delicious. Michelle, our tour guide, was amazing! She was attentive, friendly and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

My mom and I had such a fantastic time visiting the wineries through this tour! Walt was an excellent host and we had so much fun. Highly recommend if you’re in fredricksburg for the first time & want to experience some of the best.

Michelle Yoho did an excellent job providing details and history of the wineries we visited as well as others. We had a wonderful time.

We had a great time with Walt and the other guests in our party. The three wineries were chosen based on the group's preferences, and every single stop featured delicious wines. For lunch, we had the best turkey sandwich I've ever had, and some tasty sides. We learned a great deal and had a wonderful time. I'd book this tour again in a heartbeat.

An absolutely fantastic tour! The vineyards were beautiful, but our guide Walter was the true highlight. His knowledge, passion, and humor made the day unforgettable. We'll definitely be back for another tour with him!

Trey was a great guide! Very knowledgeable in sharing about various wineries and area. We were a group of girls giggly with wine but he kept us on track, made us feel safe and socialized with us! Thanks Trey!

Michelle was a wonderful tour guide. 3 great winery choices and a wonderful lunch. Michelle knows everything about the region, wineries, breweries, family histories… we had a small group of 8 and everyone had a great day.

Trae was excellent as our guide, he was very knowledgeable about the area, made sure we stayed hydrated, stored our purchases and gave us curb service at every location.

Trey was an exceptional guide and we learned a lot about the hill country. He went out of his way to ensure we had a great time. Lunch was delicious! We especially enjoyed Adega Vinho and Jeremy - my first visit to that winery.

The overall experience was fine though probably not value for money. When having lunch on a wine tour, it doesn't have to be white linens in the vineyard but pizza in a box round a coffee table crowded with glasses is not ideal. Having said that it was excellent pizza. Looking back I would have preferred to know which vineyards we were going to in order to decide if it is the tour we wanted. Our guide was caring and responsive.

Our host Trey , was very attentive to detail. The 3 Wineries had great wine selections. The lunch included in the package deal was prime rib sandwiches. I had the prime rib tacos and it was delicious!. Nothing was greasy. Very good quality food.

We went to three great wineries that all had something different to offer. Michelle was so nice and very informative about the Fredericksburg area.

This was a great way to enjoy a few wineries without worrying about where to go and what to do. Definitely money well spent! The lunch was good, and we made new friends! Walt was a great host & driver, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time. Highly recommend this option if you don't know where to go.

We were a small group with two other couples. The three wineries we visited featured great service with hosts who detailed the production process and unique features of their various wines. The driver was really friendly and helpful, providing information about the history of Fredericksburg and the growth of the wine industry in the area.

We had such a great day! Our driver Trey was such a attentive gentleman. The bus was comfortable with comfy leather seats & well air conditioned. Each of the 3 vineyards we visited had a little different character which made it more fun. The pizza was amazing with very generous topping. We made fast friends with our fellow tour mates which capped off a wonderful day! Our group was split between preferring dry & sweet wines. 2 of the 3 wineries had a good selection of both. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a special day.

Michelle was amazing. From start to finish the best wine tour I have ever experienced. The wine kept flowing with plenty of fun backstory to go with!! Can't wait to come back!!

The wineries chosen were excellent choices and would definitely use them again. Our tour guide, Colin, was exceptional knowing what and when to provide information. My sister and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience!

We had an amazing time! We met some great people on the tour, enjoyed wines and history of winemaking in the area! Each place selected was very interesting, cozy, quaint. Dare I say a “mini-Napa” experience. Our tour guide Walter was quite knowledgeable about the area, pointed things out on the drive to and from the wineries and he gave us great pointers about shopping and dining in Fredericksburg! 10/10 would book again!

We were able to meet new friends and enjoy the company of know friends with having to drive ourselves.

Our guide, Collin, went above and beyond to make this experience great for not just our party but the rest of the folks with us as well! He was exceptionally knowledgeable and friendly and we count ourselves lucky to have had the pleasure of him heading our tour! Thank you for making our girls trip that much more enjoyable!

Great weekend get away, visiting wineries and get to know the rich history behind the region. The local were very welcoming, definitely recommend. Also Kudos to our guide, Michelle Y.
