If you only have time for one tour this is the one. Leaves from the Visitors Center in Fredericksburg and the driver will give you all the history of early Fredericksburg and it is fascinating. TIPS Super, Super crowded in town starting May through September and gets very hot. Pick another time to go. And no matter what time you go do not even try for a parking space on Main Street. Go to the streets behind paralleling Main Street

I didn't expect to have to board and reboard on this short 1hr 45min tour. But it was a fortunate thing as the bench seats were curved wood, leaning backwards and too small. They honestly seemed like children's seats. The leaned-back aspect made it hard to sit up straight and see things. Since it was a tight fit with 2 adults, the metal ridged windows didn't help - you couldn't rest one arm along it as there was no ledge,just the metal frame biting into your arm.

This was an excellent tour! I would have enjoyed additional time on this tour. It was extremely informative and well worth our time! Our tour guide Dave was top notch!!

Awesome historical tour of Fredsburg with a knowledgeable tour guide and a great trolley car ride! We had multiple stops and photo opportunities. I will take all of my out of town company on this day trip. 😊

This was a huge disappointment. After waiting and waiting, the trolley never came and we left. Hopefully my money will be refunded.

Our tour guide was great and shared so many stories and tidbits about this town…..would love to go back and just walk up and down the streets!

We had a great time. The driver was very knowledgeable. He gave us great suggestions to visit after the tour which we did. He talked about the da peach haus and we went there after the tour. Loved that place. Great time

They canceled our trip that morning stating lack of participation. We drove over 100 miles to visit. The website says likey to sell out? Wow, very disappointed. The next trip should be free.

Loved all the history and the interesting houses/buildings around the city! We took this tour on our 1st day in Fredericksburg, so that helped us know what sights to visit!

Even those of us who might think,ugh a history tour, can findcthe tour pretty interesting and informative. And find ourselves enjoying the tour with our family. Good for the fit and able as well as those for whom sitting a spell is welcome.

I would highly recommend taking this tour and hopefully Dave will be your Tour Guide! Very informative trip filled with great historical facts filled with great humor. I usually do not take these types of tours but my wife really wanted to go. I am so glad I went with her and I will probably be more willing to do more of tours in the future. Spend the $ and enjoy the tour....Hope you get Dave as your guide!!

This was a fun and very informative tour. My family and I really enjoyed it even though we had to wait for late comers.

David did a wonderful narrated tour about Fredericksburg. This helped us to determine what we wanted to do and see for the rest of the day. So much history for a small town.

Michelle was fantastic. She set a great tone for our trip. She knew the type of information that you would not find on a normal google search. The tour proceeded despite only five people on the trip, and we were upgraded (at no cost) to the boutique wine experience (cush van and high end wineries). The food was good, wine was great, and by the end we were all friends. As someone that does did not know much about Texas grapes, growing, or winemaking in general, I could not have enjoyed this trip the same way without Michelle as a tour guide. I learned a lot and the experience was more than worth the price.

The tour was an excellent overview of the community and where things are located. The tour guide was OUTSTANDING and did an excellent job of being informative and proud of his community.

We only had a day in Frederickberg and wanted to see as much as possible. We parked at the Wolfe Street parking garage so it was only a ten minute walk to the visitor center where the trolley picks you up. There are public washrooms behind the center which were clean. Since the tour lasts 1 hour 15 minutes, you may want to use them. Heidi did an excellent job driving and explaining the history of Fredericksberg. We drove by beautiful homes, different neighbourhoods, civil war sites, various museums as well as the river. We learned of some of the people who helped make Fredericksberg what it is today. Time flew by and we were never bored. We know we will have to come back again to further explore this beautiful town with 40 blocks of buildings on the historical list. Great tour and well worth the cost. You can book on line in advance or in the visitor center.

The guide had a lot of good information on the town and history and it gave you a good layout of what to go and do later in the weekend. It was very enjoyable.

We originally signed up for the City Trolley Tour but were the only ones on that tour and was asked to switch to the Historical Tour. I am so glad we did. It was so very interesting and our driver, Dan, was excellent! I highly recommend this tour.

Our tour guide was friendly & VERY informative. He did a good job on his research! He had nice cold bottled water for us and Kept checking to see if the temperature was right for all of us! He’s very good at telling all the information while doing a good job at driving.

I enjoyed touring the old part of the city, but thought that finding out about where the laundry mat and a few other places were was a waste of time.

The trolley was our first stop upon arriving in Fredericksburg for a girlfriends trip. The tour gave us some insights and overview of the town. It really helped us to plan out our stay over a wonderful glass of wine. Dave went above and beyond with patience, information, and enthusiasm.

This should be something all first time visitors should be required to do! Not only do you get history and some things explained (like a Sunday house) but you learn the layout of the city. It was so helpful in our other fun! Dave was very knowledgeable and friendly. Thought we could handle the winery thing on our own but next time, we will take that tour as well!

We really enjoyed our tour and would recommend that you do this first to see where all the options are. We ran out of time but have lots of places we want to go to upon our return.
