Tour guide Dan very informative with history of Dallas/Ft Worth area. Very enthusiastic, high energy. Patient with pulling everyone into information and folklore. Relatedness with visitors from other areas of USA and Europe. I learned sooo much about actual operations of cattle drives and western life of Hell Half acres of Ft Worth. Learned of JFK’s link to Ft. Worth the last 24 hrs of his life. Conscientious with restroom stops, photo opportunities at landmark sites. I’m very pleased I made this Ft Worth Tour with Dan. 🤗

Itinerary
IF YOU CHOOSE TO DEPARTURE FROM DALLAS.. During the drive to Fort Worth, your driver/guide will share an informative overview of Texas history and the rich heritage of Fort Worth.Enjoy great scenery between Dallas and Fort Worth. You will see and hear the history from 1841 to today’s day.
WHEN YOU JOIN THE TOUR FROM FORT WORTH, THAT IS EXACTLY WHERE YOUR TOUR WILL START Sundance Square fuses historical Western architecture with modern design across its walkable 37-square-block downtown campus of shopping, restaurants, art galleries, entertainment, professional offices, and residential living. Its plaza is rated as one of the nation’s top outdoor gathering spots and is referred to as the "living room of Fort Worth.” Visitors to Sundance Square are encouraged to explore its murals, whimsical water fountains, courtyards, one-of-a-kind local shops, great food, and live music.
The urban park is frequently billed as a "cooling oasis in the concrete jungle" of downtown. Its focal points are three pools of water and a terraced knoll, which helps to shield the park from the rest of the City. The quiet, blue meditation pool is encircled with cypress trees and towering walls that are covered in thin plane of water that cascades almost 90 degrees down to the sunken blue water feature. The sound of the water on the walls evokes thoughts of a gentle rain shower. The aerating pool features multiple illuminated spray fountains under a canopy of large oak trees. The main attraction of the Water Gardens is the active pool, which has water cascading 38 feet (11 m) down terraces and steps into a small pool at the bottom. The active pool experience was built for people to be able to walk down the terraced steps to be surrounded by and experience the power, sounds and motion of water crashing around them.
On November 22, 1963, President John F. Kennedy gave an impromptu speech to thousands of rain-drenched spectators on the front steps of the historic Hotel Texas, now the Hilton Fort Worth, followed by a formal presentation at the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce breakfast. The JFK Tribute in Fort Worth’s General Worth Square marks the place and occasion of the President's historic visit with a beautiful Lawrence Ludtke bronze statue of President Kennedy set within an elegant plaza. Selected quotes from a number of JFK's historic speeches including the famous quote pictured below (no faint hearts image) are featured throughout.
The Old West comes to life before your eyes during the world's only twice-daily cattle drive presented by the Fort Worth Herd. The Tarrant County Courthouse was designed by the architecture firm of Frederick C. Gunn and Louis Curtiss and built by the Probst Construction Company of Chicago, 1893–1895. It is a pink Texas granite building in Renaissance Revival style, closely resembling the Texas State Capitol with the exception of the clock tower. The cost was $408,840 and citizens considered it such a public extravagance that a new County Commissioners' Court was elected in 1894. A monument dedicated to Confederate Army soldiers was erected on the grounds by the United Daughters of the Confederacy in 1953. 1958, a Civil Courts Building was constructed on the west side of the courthouse. In 2012, a $4.5 million renovation to the clock tower was completed,In 2013, the Civil Courts Building was demolished. The Tarrant County Courthouse currently houses the Tarrant County clerk's office, probate and county courts at law, a law library, and the Tarrant County facilities management department.

I was not sure what to expect but found the tour very informative regarding the history of Ft Worth. William was a native to the Arlington / Ft Worth area so he had some interesting stories to relay about the growth, climate, and people. Monday seemed to be a good day for the tour as the crowd size at the stock yard was light. The cattle drive was not a highlight for me, but an up close look at the longhorns was interesting. Lots of shopping and eating opportunities. The brisket at Riscky's was excellent.
This tour was very good and very knowledgable guide on Fortworth and the history. Would reccomend this tour .
We had never visited Fort Worth and took this tour as an "intro" to the city and its history. The tour guide, Preston, was extremely knowledgeable and entertaining. He provided great communication about where & when to meet. We discovered amazing and interesting venues. We appreciated that we could choose how much walking we did at the sites. Overall, 10 out of 10! We highly recommend this tour company and tour guide.
The tour was fantastic, but the staff truly made the experience exceptional! Their warmth, enthusiasm, and attention to detail made all the difference.
We went to Fort Worth to see the cattle and shop. It was a very exciting experience. I highly recommend it.
Includes some interesting sights within the city, in addition to the actual Stockyards area. Guide dropped us at the Stockyards and allowed an hour for shopping, browsing after the daily "cattle run". Perfectly timed so we were able to get a good spot to view the cattle run.
Preston did a wonderful job of showing us Fort Worth and providing excellent information about the history of the city.
This is an excellent tour! We learned so much about Ft. Worth in the comfort of our air-conditioned van. Our tour guide, William, was excellent! He was both knowledgeable and enjoyable. We especially liked his stores about the Ft. Worth of his childhood. We highly recommend this tour!
Let’s start with the company Fun Tours. Completely trustworthy. Call for assistance at any time and they accommodate you. Even if you have a valid reason to cancel just before leaving they consider reimbursement. The guides are very knowledgeable about what they are showing you and answer all of your questions. Our guide was William. Now the warning. This is not New York City, Boston or Philadelphia where the area can be seen by foot. Also the weather is very hot and humid. Dallas/Fort Worth is spread out so realistically going by van is the only realistic option. Fort Worth is a 4 block area where you see 15 long horn walk down the street & shop, gifts & drinks. To better see Ft. Worth consider going when there’s a specific event and stay the night. The tour gives you a taste of the city, a good price & meeting folks.
Dan was very knowledgeable about Dallas and Fort Worth. More time in the both the Stock Yards and Hell’s Half acre would have been great.
Tour covers basic highlights in the area if your looking for a quick overview of the area.......... .
What a wonderful tour! We learned so much about the DFW area and got to see so many amazing things. Our favorite was definitely the Fort Worth Stock Yards. The Cattle Run was a once in a lifetime experience for us! Our tour guide, Isaac, was so knowledgeable, entertaining, and kind. He went above and beyond for us to have the most enjoyable experience.
It was very informative tour. Most of the time you seat in a van but once you know what it is it makes it interesting. Our tour guide Orlando was amazing. Had taken Dallas & Fort Worth tour and believe me if you don’t have too much time this tour is worth it.
It’s a very good tour. The guide has lived in Fort Worth all his life and was so amazingly knowledgeable about every single thing that we passed along the way. The stockyards experience is very nice as well. Definitely worth doing.
We enjoyed our tour to Fort Worth. Kenny was our tour guide & he was great! The only thing we didn't like was the short stop at the stockades. We arrived around 11:20 AM & had to be back on van at 11:55 AM. That didn't give us enough time to look around after the cattle drive at 11:30 AM. Wish we had longer so we could look & shop some. That's the only thing I would charge as it is an awesome tour.
Dan was the man! excellent knowledge and genuine in his enthusiasm for Dallas and Fortworth. very knowledgeable and excellent guide. we enjoyed the whole tour, we were picked up in Dallas and returned to the meeting place.
John was outstanding! Tour was inclusive and informative. We loved it gave a glimpse ofForth Worth from Dallas
I live in Ft Worth. I had seen others on a Ft Worth tour and was interested in going. I'm so glad i did. It was wonderful.
Dan provided us with a lively insight into Fort Worth contrasted with Dallas. The history of the Sundance area put into perspective old TV shows of gunslingers while the Texas Longhorn parade was a spectacle to behold
The trip overall was perfect for a solo traveler. The tour guide, Kinney, was knowledgeable and provided great conversation on the tours. The length of time at each stop was perfect for the attractions you were seeing. Overall, it was a great experience and one that I would highly recommend to someone that is travelling alone and wants to see Fort Worth!
Tim is a great guide, super knowledgeable, and really made the experience! Not only was patient with my questions, but he was able to answer them all.
My son and I were vacationing in Dallas, Texas recently. We had a wonderful time touring Fort Worth, Texas with our amazing tour guide Kinney!! He had extensive knowledge of both Dallas and Fort Worth and shared the information in such a way that was exciting and dynamic!!! Kinney went above and beyond to provide exceptional customer service. My son and I are from the Northeast and we are not used to the blazing Texas sun. Kinney continuously offered us water throughout the tour to ensure that we stayed hydrated. My son and I agree that the tour was great, but what made the experience truly awesome was Kinney’s top notch service and outgoing personality!! We truly enjoyed the experience!! This tour is a must do!!!
Easy pick up and central location. Guide was fun and interesting. Nice van to travel in. Pretty good experience at Fort Worth, was good to see a cattle run and a bit of the city.
Outstanding Tour and our Tour Guide, Issac was phenomenal! Highly recommend for families visiting Fort Worth. It will bring the city to life:
Our tour with Preston was top notch! Even with the extra added challenge of road closures, he made sure we saw alll of the important points of interest. He shared lots of information and when we got caught in traffic on the way back, he entertained us with trivia and a serenade. We recommend this tour. Thank you, Preston!
This was the best tour-my grandson and I have been on so far. We travel every year and check out a new state. We love history and this is our 13th tour. Isaac was amazingly! He was knowledgeable and loves history. He went above and beyond to be accommodating and friendly. Thank you Isaac for making this year's experience the best.
The length was good and not too long.
I lived in Dallas for 9 years and never really went to Fort Worth or the Stockyards. Dan, our driver, was great on the tour. He gave us the history of the “hell half acre” and how the Fort was established. When went to the stockyards and watched the cattle run. Lots of history. Last, we visited the JFK statue and water gardens. Overall it was great and a nice time with Dan our driver.
I took this tour as a solo traveler and had a great time. Dan was friendly, easy to talk to, and knew a lot about Fort Worth. He shared interesting stories without making it feel like a history lecture, and he kept the group engaged the whole time. The tour was well organized, and I learned a lot while seeing some great spots around the city. I’m really glad I booked it. Thanks, Dan, for making it such an enjoyable experience!
We had a good time and learned quite a bit from our guide Dan. I would suggest getting on in Dallas as we felt we had missed a bit. Dan caught us up. This is primarily a driving tour with the exception of of a couple of short stops and an extended stop in the Stock Yards. We prefer a more detailed linear presentation but it was well worth the cost.
Well where do I start! I had planned out my last day in Fort Worth starting with a guided tour. Unfortunately I was awoken at 8.00am with a call from the tour company to cancel my morning tour! I was offered another tour at 2.00 pm or carry over to tomorrow. As we leave for Canada first thing in the morning the only alternative was to take the 2.00 pm tour. This really messed my plans for the rest of my days plans. As I was looking forward to hearing all the history of Fort Worth I didn’t want to cancel. Unfortunately I wish I had . When being picked up we were informed that the trip didn’t include the historical Stockyards area! 5 other customers along with us were also under the impression we would be going there . We all felt we were misled! What we did get was a 70 minute drive around downtown with a driver reading from his phone ! This was a dangerous practice! Also the driver whose name was Orlando was very rude when talking about the World Cup and European football fans. As an English football fan I take exception to this! If anyone is thinking of booking the 70 minute tour I would forget it as you would be better off riding the free downtown bus which you can hop on and off and just google information! In fact 70 was too long on the tour so I’m glad I didn’t book for the longer ones. Before I did book I read reviews but now wonder if they are real . On the plus side we did meet some lovely people who were also not happy with what was on offer.
Rip Off. Website itinerary incorrctband misleading. The van picked us upmdrove 4 minites then stopped to pick up Dalaas passengers - in all a total of 20 minutess of actual guided tour. 2 groups of tourists were deceived by the website description.
William provided a great tour of Fort Worth and The Stockyards. William was very knowledgeable on the history of downtown Fort Worth. We made multiple stops that were fascinating like the Waterpark and the hotel where President Kennedy had stayed in Fort Worth prior to the day of his assassination in Dsllas. I managed to visit the American Experience Museum where I was able to view the John Wayne exhibit. I managed to see the long horn cattle drive at The Stockyards. Best tour ever. I would highly recommend the tour to anyone.
Great location for Stockyard. They don’t do any evening meals. And there was limited space at breakfast. However staff were good room clean. There are obviously lots of places to go and eat. So would def recommend
The tour was very informative and fun. Our tour guide, John was fabulous, he had a lot of interesting information and we had a lot of laughs along the way.
I had a fantastic time on the tour with Orlando. It was highly informative, and the pace was perfectly balanced. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting!
The guide was very knowledgeable, and funny. We were picked up at JFK Plaza and we went to Fort Worth. We did a tour of the town and then went to the stockyard. Watched the cattle drive down a brick street. The cattle were huge.
pleasant guide, happened to be late the day of our tour but communicated that well. informative tour. we chose the 70 min becoz we had previously visited stockyards area several times. chose to visit stockyards on our own and stay later, but having the tour woud make parking easier.
Great experience and well worth the money. William was a great guide, who was very entertaining. The stockyards were the highlight.
It was a great tour of the city. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable as he was a local. He had good humor, too.
Great tour. The bus was very hard to get in and out of for seniors. Tim was a great tour guide.
Our tour guide Isaac was very knowledgeable, a good driver. Knew all the places to see. Got to the cattle drive with ample time to look around.
Drives in a circle a few times around forth worth past every building, church ,museum assisted living everything but the JFK memorial which I wanted to see !So much time looking at buildings Less than 2 hours in stockyards for the cattle drive and atmosphere and cute little shops I got agita trying to rush down a drink and a bite and I tried to run into one little shop near pickup point and as i was heading to van at 12:45 meeting time I got a txt saying they would be leaving me there !! then 2 phone calls I boarded bus at 12:47 and was chastised ! I’m am never late for any of my excursions but this time was so ridiculous rushed 2 min wasn’t a reason to be called 2x and txted
What a wonderful experience. The driver was great, born and raised in Fort Worth. The cattle drive at the stockmarket was amazing and we had enough time to have a great lunch there.
Tim was a brilliant tour guide. Very knowledgeable. I would have wanted more time in at the Fortworth stock yards if possible as it was so interesting!
Great length tour and felt very comfortable doing it by myself as most of the others on the tour were solo travellors
Tim did a great job telling us about the area.
Tons of fun. Unique to see the longhorns. Wear your cowboy hat or get one there! Our tour guide Preston, was amazing. So much information and cool fun facts!
It was a nice leisurely experience learning the history is Dallas and Fort Worth.
