Excellent tour. We knew a lot about the assassination, but still learned more. Isaac was a great guide who really knew his stuff. He also sent us lots of useful links after the tour. Highly recommended.
It was a good tour and interesting
The tour we scheduled was apparently overbooked. The company notified us that morning and made adjustments to our tour. They split it into a morning open air tour with Angie and afternoon with the historian Dan. Our day was exceptional. Both guides were so gracious and knowledgeable. The company redeemed and outdid themselves. Would definitely recommend them!
Booking through Viator has been a worthwhile experience for me so far. Our tour guide Dan was way more than we expected! My friend and his family are coming down in two weeks and they want to book with Dan. I’m coming down in a few months with my wife and grandchildren and I want to book with Dan..
Dan was a great guide. So passionate, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Definitely good walking shoes and water bottle, although the bus driver and a cooler with water bottles available too. After the tour you get to time your time in the museum, the bus doesn't bring you back to the pick up site. Luckily our hotel was in walking distance.
Our guide Preston was very knowledgeable and precise with all of the details surrounding the assination of President JFKennedy
Absolutely fantastic tour...Dan was incredibly knowledgeable and discussed multiple theories, answered all questions, and knew exactly what we wanted to see and understand. Highest recommendation!
As one who lived through that awful weekend (as a freshman in hs) I was impressed with the tour & museum. Tour guide Isaac was extremely informative & easy to listen to. Likewise the Sixth Floor Museum was exceptionally thorough - I was very surprised by “the 7th floor” salute to the print & media coverage - - did not expect it! I recommend the tour to everyone but since the included museum ticket is good for sixty days I recommend splitting it up into two days (one day on the bus - one in the museum).
Dan was an excellent tour guide!! He was so informative and knowledgeable about everything JFK related and beyond, he answered all any questions! Book this tour and I hope you're lucky enough to have Dan as your tour guide he was truly excellent!!
Amazing! Preston our tour guide was great and very knowledgeable! I highly recommend this one for both locals and visitors!
We took the tour on Saturday, June 27th with Dan, having previously done the same tour with Tim. What I love about this experience is getting two different perspectives on one of history’s greatest mysteries. Both guides are exceptional at what they do and bring impressive knowledge to the subject. I’ve gone back and forth on whether there was more than one shooter, but Dan’s passionate and convincing delivery made a compelling case for Oswald acting alone. As for the motive — his apparent deep hatred of JFK — that still feels like an incomplete answer, and the mystery lingers. Dan spoke with genuine heart and enthusiasm, and it was clear he truly loves what he does. Thank you for another wonderful tour! A few suggestions for improvement: • Pre-print museum tickets — We ran a bit over time and had to scramble to get our tickets before the next tour started. It would help to have them ready in advance. • More water would be appreciated, especially on a warm day. • A small note on language — Dan might want to avoid calling the bus driver “sweetie.” Terms of endearment can be warm and friendly, but work best when used sparingly.
Beware that this is not a cohesive day-long tour. You will be dropped off at the sixth flour museum with only an hour to explore the museum and get back to the starting point for the second part of the tour. The tour operator does not even arrange to pick you up from the museum. We decided to cancel the afternoon portion of the tour so that we would have adequate time to explore the museum. Having said that, our JFK tour guide, Dan, was extraordinary. I’d suggest just getting the JFK tour with him and skipping the city tour.
Two separate tours and guides in one trip. Dallas city tour with William was very good. There was an annoying family who continued to talk in the mini van. Another passenger asked them to be quiet as he couldn’t hear. They ignored William’s advice not to stand on jfk’s markers in the middle of the road as there had been an accident with traffic and were late coming back to the vehicle. Dan’s jfk was exceptional. So passionate about his subject. Thought provoking and interesting.
Great tour guide really informed and entertained while recounting one of history’s most talked about moments in time
Dan was a fantastic guide and led the tour with such fervour
JFK tour with tour guide Dan was excellent. Toured grassy knoll, Oswald rooming house, Dealey Plaza and JFK museum. Dan was extremely knowledgeable on the subject, showed pics on his IPad and welcomed questions. Would highly recommend tour to anyone with interested in JFK history.
Phenomenal tour. The tour guide (Dan) was so incredibly informative and enthusiastic. His passion for history really shone through. This was easily one of the top highlights of our trip. We had two of our kids with us (15 and 13) and their attention was definitely held. Would book another tour if we are in the area.
Wow, what can I say. Our tour was amazing. Our guide Isaac knew so much from all perspectives of the the JFK story. He gave us the official line, the nuances and everything in beween. He totally challenges everything you think you know about that fateful day. The tour includes all the key locations and ends at the museum where you can you look from THAT 6th floor window. Best tour we have ever done. Can't recommend it enough
This activity is actually 2 separate tours added together. The morning tour was solely about the assassination of JFK. If you have an overwhelming interest in this subject, this tour is for you. If 3 hours of going over and over the detail of the assassination is not your thing, don't go on this. The afternoon tour was fine, travelling around different parts of Dallas.
I did a 4-hour JFK assassination tour with Dan Evans and honestly could not recommend it more highly. Dan is incredibly knowledgeable and detailed — not just about the assassination itself, but about the historical background, timelines, people involved, Dallas history, and the broader Cold War context surrounding the event. What really stood out to me was how factual and balanced he was throughout the tour. He didn’t try to push conspiracy theories or force conclusions on anyone. Instead, he presented the evidence, explained the different perspectives, and let us make our own decisions. You can tell he has spent years studying this history. He knew dates, locations, background details, and smaller facts that made the entire experience feel immersive and thoughtful rather than just touristy. Visiting places like Dealey Plaza, the Texas Theatre, and the Oswald rooming house while hearing the full historical context made the experience unforgettable. If you’re even remotely interested in JFK history, Dallas history, or American history in general, I highly recommend taking this tour with Dan.
Knowing very little about the details of the JFK assassination, we were intrigued to learn more. Our guide was very knowledgeable and presented facts, followed by some of the many conspiracies. He took us around all the key locations, including the rooming house where Oswald lived. It was fascinating to learn all about the events of that fateful day. Walking through the museum was a great way to round out all the finer details. We were driven around by a different guide for the Dallas City Bus Tour who was equally engaging and showed us around the city highlights. It was a great overview of the city.
Brilliant JFK tour with Anna, who was informative, interesting and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend.
Dan was our tour guide. We really enjoyed the journey he took us on. He was very informative with lots of enthusiasm. We learned alot of things we had not learned before. I highly recommend this tour. You will not be disappointed!
Highest recommendation!! Our guide was Dan who was so exuberant and captivating . Extremely knowledgeable and compelling ! It was a tremendous experience!
Tim was so knowledgeable and made our experience one to remember
Wow! What an incredible experience. John was beyond amazing and knowledgeable. My family really enjoyed themselves and learned so much. Visiting Lee Harvey Oswald’s room was a blast from the past. Would highly recommend this tour!!
Dan was the most amazing guide. His enthusiastic made the whole experience. Highly recommended
Anna was an excellent tour guide. She was so knowledgeable. Very interesting stops were in the tour.
Anna was our tour guide and she was outstanding. She was very informative and we got to see all important sites related to that event. Well Done Anna!!!
Dan, was our guide. He was well educated in the topic, and passionate in his speech. He was knowledgeable and I thought I could talk to this guy and really understand different pieces to this puzzle. This tour was a highlight for our vacation, and to walk in history with Dan was wonderful. I would highly recommend this tour with Dan, He was patient, and friendly. Thanks Dan, I'll remember this forever!
Great tour! Our tour guide Dan was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and a lot of fun. We learned a lot about Dallas and the surrounding area.
This was an entertaining way to learn about history. I enjoyed driving around Oak Cliff to all the spots where Lee H Oswald went to after the assassination. His boarding house especially felt like a time warp. Very eerie. Preston is an excellent researcher & tour guide. Knows everything! Any questions you have, he can answer. Best thing I did in Dallas. Highly recommended.
Dan was an amazing tour guide. Absolute well of knowledge and passion. He answered all the questions and made the experience memorable. Highly recommend asking for Dan as the tour guide.
Preston was our tour guide. He was so knowledgeable and on point during the entire tour. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting the full experience of the events that happened that tragic day. Wonderful day!
Dan did the best tour I have ever been on after touring 49 of our 50 states. He gave me lots of information and never demanded I accept his views. He encouraged me to keep an open mind and form my own opinions about the tragic event that happened here in Dallas in 1963.
Dan, thanks for a very informative and nice tour. You're very passionate and thorough about history. I would recommend this tour to others.
Guide was very knowledgeable about the JFK assassination and exceeded expectations. Definitely worth the trip. Would do it again. We'll done.
Dan was amazing!! I really enjoyed how passionate he was and how knowledge he was. I’ve seen the movies and documentaries but to be here and have Dan be so thorough with every detail.
recently booked a 7-hour day tour with Fun Dallas Tours through Viator/Tripadvisor. While much of my trip in Dallas and Canada was enjoyable, this tour was unfortunately a negative experience. Midway through the tour, I received a message from a second guide, Preston, about a separate tour I had not knowingly booked, which caused confusion. When I asked Preston for clarification before visiting the Farmers Market, while he was dropping some guests off, he ignored my questions. When I asked again, he threatened me, saying, “If you ask again, you can leave and we won’t refund you.” He then spoke about me to the group in a rude way. I chose not to escalate during the tour in order to avoid disrupting the rest of the group, but the experience left me shocked and disappointed. I have booked many tours around the world through Viator and have never encountered such unprofessional behavior from a tour guide. I hope the company addresses this behavior to ensure future guests have a positive experience.
Fantastic, Dan is the man, very knowledgeable and had all perspectives covered, no judgement just facts and make up your own mind, well worth it, do yourself a favour and go with Dan, cheers Paul
From start to finish, this tour was absolutely perfect. Dan our tour guide was knowledgeable, engaging, and brought the story of JFK’s assassination to life in a way that was both exciting and captivating. Walking through Dealey Plaza and then exploring the Sixth Floor Museum gave me a deeper understanding of that tragic day and the many details I had only ever heard about in passing. Everything was organized seamlessly, from the pacing of the tour to the clarity of explanations. I especially appreciated how the guide tied together history, context, and the atmosphere when going through the key locations. I couldn’t recommend this experience more highly. If you’re in Dallas, it’s an absolute must-do.
Dan was amazing, knowledgeable and tireless historian tour guide. His logical and evidence based facts helped us refute our long held belief of conspiracy theories. We recommend Dan to have a wonderful experience.
Went with my daughter and granddaughter. Very informative, learned things I was not aware of and really makes you question what they try to tell you happened.???
Did the morning tour with Isaac. Awesome tour guide!!! Very informative, friendly and gentlemanly. Even provided water bc it was so hot. Highly recommend him as a guide. Afternoon tour was with Dan. Again an awesome tour guide!!! Very friendly and very informative. Thoroughly enjoyed both tours!!
Tim, the tour guide, was so informative, funny, and made the history come alive in our minds. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
Great tour! Tim the tour guide is the man! Being at Dealey and hearing all the different info made me rethink the entire tragedy.
This was an amazing tour. On the Dallas part we learnt about the origins of the city and were taken far and wide across the city to get a great sense of size and variety. We saw Downtown and Higland Park. The second part was JFK focussed. We saw the downtown parts, the Oswald Rooming location and the Museum. Tim was a fantastic guide on both parts. His knowledge was extraordinary and his passion for the city and its place in history was absorbing. The day passed in a flash. He drove with great care and had taken time to devise a tour that was comprehensive and engaging.
Excellent informative tour, learnt an awful lot. John our tour guide was absolutely first class, very knowledegable, unbiased and very flexible throughout the tour.
Amazing trip, Dan our guide was fantastic, his knowledge and enthusiasm took the tour to a higher level. We traveled the route of the motorcade and stopped at all the significant places before and after the assassination. Would absolutely recommend this tour.
