Noelle is the best tour guide. 10/10 would take a tour with her again. We enjoyed our red light district tour

Itinerary
The historic Strand, a national landmark, was the Wall Street of the South prior to the Great Flood. So many people tried to take refuge in the upper stories of these magnificent bank buildings, but sadly perished. Over 10,000 people died on that fateful night. It is the largest national catastrophe to this day.
As we stand in front of the historic railroad where over 50,000 men would come by train to visit the bordellos, we will examine the hauntings that continue to this very day in the building.
So many dignitaries, soldiers, politicians and even presidents have checked in…but some never checked out. Crying sobs are heard on the stairwells and in the halls. A Civil War soldier marches up and down the lobby for everyone to see. A little boy plays in the hotel rumored to be the ghost of a child run over outside the front of the hotel. One helpful ghost will even unpack for you!
We will pass by the Opera House located in the heart of the Postoffice Street Arts and Entertainment District.
We will pass by this nice historic property representing one of the earliest examples of steel frame-based construction in the state.

Rob was great! He is a great public speaker and so knowledgeable. He knew so much! We were hoping to go inside buildings and alleys, but we still had a good time. Maybe bring waters for the guests.
Tour was very lackluster for a Saturday night tour. Tour guide showed up like he just got in from the beach and talked about himself the whole time. Didn’t really know much about the red light district because he had not done the tour in a while. Save your money and do something else.
It is a really fun and interesting tour, you will see and learn different things from the history of the town. It is a one of a kind tour that you'll experience and you won't regret it. Our tour guide Mike was so much fun and very cool,he'll definitely make you laugh and makes sure you'll have a good time. 10000/10 recommend!
Our tour guide (Noelle) did a great job. Was very knowledgeable and had a huge passion. Would definitely recommend this for others.
A great tour! Our guide,Rob, had lots of information and some interesting stories. He also had photos to share. I would recommend this tour.
Fun tour. Our guide, Rob, shared a ton of history about Galveston that we’d never heard before. Inspired us to start learning more!
Very fun, Noelle was very knowledgeable and fun to be around. We had such a great experience and learned a lot of stuff. Plus learn of other stuff to see in Galveston.
A great tour given by a very knowledgeable tour guide. A lot of the "dark" history of early Galveston is there to be learned on this tour.
I lived in Houston my whole life and didn’t know anything about Galveston. We came to Galveston for the weekend to celebrate my wife’s birthday and she’s a history buff and she truly loved it! I was very impressed how knowledgeable our tour guide was! It was a very interesting experience and I can honestly say it was worth it!
Our guide provided some really interesting history of Galveston and inspired us to look deeper in to Galveston history by watching a documentary. The amount of information and speed of the tour were just right.
Rob had so much energy and full of stories and pictures to show. He kept us awake and engaged the whole tour! Highly recommend.
Noelle was very knowledgable regarding the history of the area and its inhabitants. We spent a lot of our time learning about the Red Light district and the people that lived there. Multiple buildings had been a part of the district that she pointed out. The sun had gone down which helped create the ambience. I would do it again.
We had Noelle as our tour guide and she was great. She was very knowledgeable, but also passionate about the subject matters. It was just my me and my husband for our tour, and she gave us the option to tailor our tour to specific subjects, but we asked her to just tell us what she thought was interesting. She included a little bit about all kinds of subjects; ghost stories, stories about the mafia, gambling, lots of info on the “worlds oldest profession”, and even really interesting info about the architecture of the buildings that were built for these purposes and how to spot them as some are still standing. I found it interesting as I’ve been coming down to Galveston my whole life, but never knew anything about these subjects. Highly recommended if you want to do something a little different. Oh, and the meeting location is one or two doors down from a daiquiri place. We each had one before the tour and they were delicious and the staff was friendly! Stop in to see them before or after the tour!
Noelle was amazing! Super animated and knowledgeable. We enjoyed every step! The history lesson was fantastic!!
Rob shared much interesting Galveston history ! He kept us engaged and entertained through the entire walking tour. My group was 6 women over 50 and we all enjoyed the tour. Rob’s enthusiasm & passion for his tour made it great!!
The night was rainy but our Tour still took place. It was an incredible tour. Our guide Rob was knowledgeable & friendly. Highly recommend!
It was a very nice tour. We learned a lot about Galveston. Very interesting. Go on this if you love history. Also wear walking shoes!
It was an amazing tour with an amazing tour guide! Noelle was very informative, funny, and engaging! Would definitely recommend this tour! We will take this tour again. We also captured some cool evidence!
Our tour of the Red Light district was great. Our guide was wonderful. She was very knowledgeable and we all learned so much of the Galveston area.
Several friends and I were in Galveston for the weekend and decided to check out the Red Light District tour. We really enjoyed the tour of this historic part of Galveston. Our guide, Rob, was really knowledgeable about the area, learning us up on the rich history of the rise and fall of the Galveston prostitution industry and cracking us up with some funny anecdotes. I would definitely count this tour as a must for a visit to Galveston and can't wait to check out the rest of the offerings from Historic Galveston Ghost Tours.
Red light district historical significance for shaping Galveston. Charlie was a great guide and very knowledgeable.
Our guide, Christopher, was a nice enough guy, but the tour itself was not good. The level of detail was superficial, I didn’t feel like I learned much, and I didn’t like how he presented some of the details, it was…pretty inappropriate, especially in the gruesome details like abortion, sexual abuse, murder, and even pedophilia, almost like these were salacious topics. We weren’t offended, just kind of grossed out by his apparent investment. I don’t know if this was our guide or the script that they follow. Maybe we’re just not the audience for the tour? But it didn’t feel worth the price for the amount of information we learned and especially not for us having to navigate how weirdly our guide presented the stories.
The host was very informative and knowledgeable of the places. Overall he is very well spoken and excellent tour guide
Charlie was an amazing tour guide. So much knowledge and loved the site seeing of the historical architecture. Being a retired paranormal investigator helped me to appreciate the experience. Went above and beyond my expectations. Will recommend!!!
As a Galvestonian, Mike provided great insight to the history of the town. Very enjoyable tour in a safe part of town.
Mike was very friendly and knowledgeable. We thought that he was very informative. I learned many interesting facts I didn’t previously know.
Mike our tour guide was excellent and full of information. The weather was great, Mike was an excellent tour guide and I do is towards again, well worth the money!
Charlie gave us a very fun and informative tour of the red light district. He had quick answers for all of our follow up questions, and his energy was wonderful. We would definitely recommend it to others.
Joe was a fantastic guide. Very knowledgeable of the history of the red light district. Had lots of stories to tell and interesting pictures of more recent “activity”.
Guide was knowledgeable and friendly. He made the tour fun and interesting. More time to hear the stories and talk, ask questions would have been great.
It was very interesting and very informative. We had a great time Dave was funny. I recommend the tour
Very fun!! Very knowledgeable!! Learned things about Galveston that I never knew!! Will definitely take this tour again!!! Got some cool pictures also!!
Christopher was great! The tour was informative, funny, and I appreciated the local recommendations he sprinkled in. Overall 10/10 recommend!
Chris was fantastic! It was a super entertaining tour and we learned a lot. Be sure to ask about the unique architecture throughout the area. Highly recommend
I went on this tour with my girlfriend last night and let me tell you our tour guide was amazing he was absolutely hilarious and was full of knowledge I think I learned more on this tour than I did in the last week I've spent in Galveston it's great for a good night out on the town and they even show you quite a few nice spots go and enjoy some food and beverages after.
Chris was awesome. He was very informative & friendly. He knows so much about the Galveston island and took us to very many good restaurants.
Christopher was wonderful! First historic tour and he was amazing! We came for our friends birthday and he had fun answering all of our questions! We will be requesting him for the next one! PS: his Spanish is WONDERFUL!
Guide was friendly and entertaining. Walked at a good pace. Learned a lot of history. Was able to pick up a walking drink before we started. Even though it was late felt very safe. We didn't appreciate being asked for tips after as we do if warranted but would definitely recommend this tour.
Great tour! Mike was awesome and knowledgeable! Great way to spend the evening. Really enjoyed our tour.
Mike was fantastic; informative, entertaining, and kept things on track. Lots of walking, we had a blast!
The tour guide Mike Snow was fantastic! He's an 8th-generation beloved local that knows his stuff! He was informative, kept good pace, was friendly and embodied island life.
Tour was strictly on Red Light District, no ghost stories, which was disappointing. Not located in the best part of town. We did our tour at 10pm and should have done it during the day. Noelle did know a lot of information though.
Annette "The Lady in Black" was our tour guide Friday 02-24-2023. She was fantastic, a walking encyclopedia, and kept us entertained. Highly recommend this tour with Annette as your guide!
Our guide was well versed in the history of Galvestons Red Light district as well as a well trained medium to the supernatural. We enjoyed both the historical aspects of the tour and the paranormal. (From the light hearted ghosts to those with scary energy). Whether you believe in ghosts or not, I'd highly reccomend this tour. It was worth the price, amazingly fun and informative, and an experience that you will not soon forget. Vickie was amazing.
Her ability to educate other ethnic groups about the African American ladies of the night. Got a good workout walking. The buildings and atmosphere
More of a history lesson than a tour, not a fan, very boring, long and drawn out without much to keep your attention
Noelle was amazing! Super energetic and knows her stuff! We had a great time learning about the history of Galveston from her!
This tour was very informative. Pictures shown during the tour were a plus. We didn't see any activity but the historical information made it worthwhile.
Rob was so informative that it's difficult to pinpoint highlights! I was fascinated by the Blue Light District, and the methods of contraception that the lady prostitutes used. The Mafia background of a well known businessman was surprising.
