Crowd size wasn’t that big for the window I went, but still felt a little rushed, if I’d ever return it would be during the slowest times. I’ve always loved going to the color factory, but this time was just disappointing; I feel it has lost a lot of its whimsy. Cameras being out of order, lagginess, flash not working, etc. Balloons in the first room were mismatched, or missing entirely. The whole experience felt very unkept and dirty. Complimentary snacks no longer complimentary, or just downgraded. Perfect match having the same exact cards in every station, making it less personal. Very sad to witness, especially since I’ve been a couple times over the past few years, it’s just not held to the same standard as back then. :/

Very immersive and they had complementary snacks!!
This was a fun group activity. The different rooms you get to experience and you also can get pictures in each room for future memories.
Not impressed. This is a waste of money. $32.00 for general admission anytime after 11:30 am. 10-12 rooms with nothing going on. A children’s museum would be much better value & time. One room was just painted posts with a little confetti dribbling down from ceiling. Another was posts with writing and pink lights. Some colored lit hallways, and a room with plastic balls like in McDonald’s. Really an expensive waste of time. I would not recommend.
The concept and room ideas are amazing, but it felt dirty, staff seemed tired, and not refreshed. Needs new paint, a good cleaning, and staff who cares.
My boyfriend and I came in and had a huge blast. The only thing I would say is that we didn’t entirely know what our slips of paper even were until the 3rd room or so…Haha!
Very disappointed in the experience. It was so loud you could not hear the guide’s instructions. We did not know ahead of time you go through the rooms in a group. The rooms were not very exciting. We felt it was a waste of money.
This was a really unique experience. I don’t really take alot of pictures, especially selfies, but it made me come out of my comfort zone and take several different pictures and poses which was actually really fun.
No wow factor at all, and admission price made the visit a poor value for the money. Would not recommend a visit at the Color Factory. Not much to see there. Staff was very friendly and helpful, but that does not make up for lack of content.
It was great! My daughter loved it, can’t wait to go back with friends and treat it like a selfie night!! Highly recommend for a quick fun and interactive experience!
Wear bright colors, and be camera ready. It takes about 1.5 hours. Such a fun experience, even for adults.
I visited the color factory with my (almost) 5 year old twins and my teenage nieces. This place truly has something for everyone. My twins absolutely loved the dance room and ball pit. My nieces caught themselves finding their inner child while throwing confetti at one another. Truly is a fun experience and I loved the small, intimate group sizes.
My daughter and family went and had a great time. The kids had a blast. Great Christmas time fun for the family.
We had the best time at Color Factory Houston! It was the perfect thing to do before an Astros game and super close to downtown. My teen loved it, and even my 70+ year-old parents had a great time — definitely something fun for all ages. The space was bright, clean, and full of cool, interactive activities that kept us all smiling the whole way through. It took us about 1.5 to 2 hours, but you can go at your own pace, which I loved. The crowds were small the day we went, and since you reserve your time slot, it never felt packed or rushed. The staff was friendly, and everything was really well organized. Admission is a little pricey, but we found a good deal on Groupon, and honestly, it was worth it. If you’re looking for something unique and fun to do in Houston, especially before a game or downtown outing, I definitely recommend it!
The Color Factory was so much fun and very interactive! It is fun for all ages and you even get sweet treats along the way!! I definitely recommend this experience for anyone visiting Houston!
I had a great time visiting this place. There are a lot of great things to do in the place and you can take pictures. Each exhibit have something different to them and is enjoyable to do it. Overall, it's a great place to go to.
Got my car towed while inside The Color Factory. No clear instructions provided for parking. There is a sign outside that directs you to the public parking lot where they tow your car from. Cost $310 just to get my car back!
Awesome experience! This would be a great team bonding activity. My family and I enjoyed every room. Definitely challenged our inner child.
The grandkids had a fabulous time and can’t wait to go back! They wanted to come the next day as well. 😂 We will definitely return.
It was ok, very colorful. There are about 10 rooms activities and sweets. It was a fun time. Not as big as I thought. The staff are very nice
Decided to have a family day so I took my 21 and almost 2 year old to Color Factory. We all had a great time. Love all the picture opportunities and the cute little snacks. Beautiful colors and my baby loved being able to walk around free lol. The cameras are perfectly located and the fact that you don’t have to pay extra for the pictures and can take as many as you want is a perfect touch. Definitely recommend. We also saved money buying the tickets on TripAdvisor so that was a plus.
Great place Watch out where you park - lots of towing business in the area. We parked at the shopping centre and our caras towed.
Every room was a photo opportunity. My nieces had so much fun and interactive. The staff was sweet and helpful. We loved the music dance room where they were playing Beyoncé all week since her tour was in town. Great place!
It is a unique and creative experience. They attempt to cater to everyone. However, we had issues from the very start. Even though they attempt to make the picture process simple, it isn't ideal for groups with multiple adults. Everyone has to get a different QR code, even if you're in the same group because of the liability waiver attached to it. Because these two tasks are tied together, it makes retrieving the pictures at the end a complicated process for groups with more than one adult. They provide a few edible treats throughout the experience, however we were not able to participate in this part of the experience due to food allergies. All the products, except for a coconut ice cream at the end, contained eggs and there was no allergy friendly alternative. While they attempted to make the experience as interactive as possible while informative, a few of the areas you just want to get in and out of as soon as possible. Whether it was because of lack of interactivity for the kids or hyper sensory exposure, every room is not for everyone. Overall, it was enjoyable and we had fun, but we will not be going back due to the inclusivity limitations.
It was awesome! So beautiful. Everyone who worked there was so friendly and answered any questions we had.
Was a lot of fun ! Great activity for all. My wife and I were glad we put this on our itinerary while it was our visit to Texas.
Had an awesome time! My kids and I loved it. Cameras to capture those funny and happy moments are installed and will take snaps with just a scan of a QR code and you’ll have access to the digital copies. Two thumbs up for the experience!
Our group had a 65 year old, 2: thirty somethings and an 8 year old! We weren’t sure what to expect, but all of us LOVED it. I can see where parking can be an issue. The staff was great and can guide you where to park if necessary. I lost my QR code you use to take pictures with and my daughter ended up with someone else’s so we are hoping to call to get her missing photos!
The Color Factory was amazing and so much fun My wife and I enjoyed the entire factory. It made for a great afternoon. Great job !
Some really fun activities, creative. More care to prevent passing germs. Giant ballon balls was a great activity! Face to face drawing not so good.
Excellent fun for kids. Well worth it. Viator always has great recommendations in their app with great prices.
Checking in was smooth and easy. Youvan grab drinks before your tour starts. They run down the rule and pretty much give you freedom to enjoy each section. It was a really fun experience and very interactive. I would definitely go again.
I had a wonderful day here with my son! He enjoyed all of the rooms and wasn’t overwhelmed by anything despite having Autism.
I had an amazing time. I took my dude for his birthday and he loved it. The Color Factory is an adventure for all ages. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about each exhibits.
Loved every bit of it. Different experience. Our boys loved it. It lasts for 2 hours or more if you want to spend more time. Bonus point for the photos that capture the awesome moments and you enjoy with your family. Staffs were awesome. Cookie and ice cream is add on excitement.
Everything was wonderful , took plenty of pictures , but they need more parking space ! Car got towed because of no available parking spaces!
This place is dope. Initially I thought it was more for children but I was wrong. This place is for all ages and occasions. I went with some good friends and we had a ball. Definitely recommended.
THE COLOR FACTORY DISCRIMINATES AGAINST MOMS. Upon walking in I was promptly told “no breastfeeding allowed”. I wasn’t even breast-feeding my child at the time. They just saw that I had a 4 week old infant and informed me I could not breast-feed my child in their facility, not even with a covering…in this day and age, I’m appalled. This is one of dozens of rules, which include no strollers, no water, they do not provide water fountains, and they only have 2 bathrooms which are only in the front of the building. They don’t cater towards children despite their marketing..it’s much more of a young couple date place. As far as the exhibits go—they’re OK. But they’re mostly just photo studio settings to make cute photo ops. Their marketing tagline of “experience color with all 5 senses” holds up about as well as their “free” ice cream cones..that manage to be frozen solid and soggy at the same time.
Visited: 09.05.2024 Occasion: Mom’s Birthday! This place was awesome! I took my family and mother here for her birthday and everyone loved the experience. That everything was interactive was tremendously entertaining! The staff was super helpful and their knowledge helped make the experience very enjoyable and memorable! There were a lot photo ops all throughout the exhibit and the treats were particularly appropriate to the colorful theme. This was a very fun experience and I would encourage anyone to try it out. A lot of people are hesitant to spend money these days without fully knowing if the experience is worth it. I can confidently say it was well worth the price. I would just say take your time and don’t rush through the exhibits! Take people with you! I think the larger the party, the more fun the experience.
Very Instagramable spot for date night or friends. Just a great celebration of color and brings childlike joy with every room you go into. They have a well oiled machine with directions and staff to explain everything to enjoy.
Fun, educational. Good service.
