Best tour with robin, had an excellent trip for my wife’s birthday

We did the Night Glow Tour and had such a fantastic time with Robin!! We had a free evening in San Marcos and found this cool opportunity only a couple hours ahead of the scheduled tour time. The clear kayaks on the river are such a cool concept and the equipment was very very clean and well maintained. What really made our tour such a great experience was the passion from our guide, Robin. He truly went out of his way to make sure we learned about the history of the river and the wildlife that call it home. He was full of interesting information about the fish, plants, mammals as well as the conservation efforts being made to ensure the river and wildlife are protected best as possible. We saw tons of different kinds of fish, beavers, turtles (including a snapping turtle!), crawfish, bats, racoons and an opossum. This is way more than just a nighttime kayak cruise!

Robin was great w/ a fun sense of humor! Very knowledgeable of the river during our entire tour! He also sent us videos and photos after our tour was complete!

We did the sunset tour with ROBIN. He was informative and had a good eye for spotting the turtles, fish and the animals on the shore line. I would recommend the sunset tour as it is something different and fun!

Wow! SO COOL!! We did this on a whim and booked our tour last-minute, the day of. When we arrived, we were greeted by our guide Robin who helped us get set up and ready to go. He was so helpful, accommodating and knowledgeable. We weren't sure what to expect or what we would even be able to see at night, but we were pleasantly surprised, to the point where my wife started making a list of everything we saw - different types of fish, turtles, animals along the shore, bats, and more...all of which, Robin identified and told us about. What a cool guy. We had a blast chatting with him about the area, nature and getting to know him as well. I would highly recommend the tour. If you're on the fence about whether or not to try this tour, I sincerely hope this review pushes you over the edge to book your tour today. I can't say enough great things about Robin as our guide. It was such a cool experience to be out on the water in the dark and still be able to see what was below us! The weather was nice, and the kayaking was easy and relaxing. Our guide, Robin, did a good job and helped make it an enjoyable experience. I would recommend this for a fun and unique way to get out on the water at night.

Trip was the guide, & he was very knowledgeable about the wildlife that lives along the river. If he wouldn't have pointed the bats out living under the bridge, I never would have even known they were there. I wasn't sure how the paddling was going to go, but he explained it so well, it was actually fun & relaxing! It was a great way to spend an early evening. If you take the tour in the evening, they have a light bar on the bottom of the kayak, which is also see thru (think glass bottom boat). Well worth it!!

My husband and I decided to celebrate our anniversary in Wimberley, TX. We arranged an 8:30 glow tour in San Marcos, TX, which is about a 30-minute drive, with Get Up and Go, and it was an incredible experience. Our guide, Robin, transformed our time on the water from a simple tour into an exciting adventure! His expertise on the local plants and wildlife, along with his dedication to ensuring we saw as much as possible, truly impressed us. We had an unforgettable and enjoyable time!! THANK YOU ROBIN!!!!

Robin was so friendly! he was helpful, patient and knows fun facts. I'm glad we had him as our guide! On a different note I think the parking situation is ridiculous and I think it's un fair for the guides that work on certain nights, our parking shouldn't be more because of events that have nothing to do with what we are doing. Poor Robin had to start with people upset about that and that's not fair. He handled it very well, so extra respect for that!
