The urban park is frequently billed as a "cooling oasis in the concrete jungle" of downtown. Its focal points are three pools of water and a terraced knoll, which helps to shield the park from the rest of the City. The quiet, blue meditation pool is encircled with cypress trees and towering walls that are covered in thin plane of water that cascades almost 90 degrees down to the sunken blue water feature. The sound of the water on the walls evokes thoughts of a gentle rain shower. The aerating pool features multiple illuminated spray fountains under a canopy of large oak trees. The main attraction of the Water Gardens is the active pool, which has water cascading 38 feet (11 m) down terraces and steps into a small pool at the bottom. The active pool experience was built for people to be able to walk down the terraced steps to be surrounded by and experience the power, sounds and motion of water crashing around them. The Tarrant County Courthouse was designed by the architecture firm of Frederick C. Gunn and Louis Curtiss and built by the Probst Construction Company of Chicago, 1893–1895. It is a pink Texas granite building in Renaissance Revival style, closely resembling the Texas State Capitol with the exception of the clock tower. The cost was $408,840 and citizens considered it such a public extravagance that a new County Commissioners' Court was elected in 1894. A monument dedicated to Confederate Army soldiers was erected on the grounds by the United Daughters of the Confederacy in 1953. 1958, a Civil Courts Building was constructed on the west side of the courthouse. In 2012, a $4.5 million renovation to the clock tower was completed,In 2013, the Civil Courts Building was demolished. The Tarrant County Courthouse currently houses the Tarrant County clerk's office, probate and county courts at law, a law library, and the Tarrant County facilities management department.

Our guide Isaac was very friendly and informative. Great tour to see the sites of Fort Worth and the stockyards. Easy to find pickup in the middle of downtown.
Giancarlo, John, was fantastic! Very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about US History. I joined the tour at the last minute in an effort to see the Stockyards. We enjoyed talking about US history, Italian politics and Texas!
A half day tour around Fort Worth visiting the Main St & the Water Gardens, JFK Memorial ending up at the Stockyards for there Longhorn Display, we had around 1hr 30 at the stockyard and could have easily stayed longer, great guide (Dan) who was well versed in American History detailed and fun. Small party tour keeps it personal.
Our Guide Preston was AMAZING! He knew everything and was very engaging. Really made the trip! I learned a lot about Fort Worth. I would definitely take another tour with him!
One of the most unexpected surprises along my road trip. We have heard of the Longhorn run but never though we would come upon one. A wonderful event to witness. Didn't realize how big their horns were and what a magnificent animal they are. They will even take a photo of you sitting on one. Highly recommend this awesome experience.
Our guide gave a lot of information about Texas and the Dallas/Ft Worth area. He stopped at many areas of interest: the Water Gardens, the Ft Worth Kennedy memorial, Sundance Plaza. Arrived at cattle “run” in plenty of time for good viewing. He seemed uncomfortable with “quiet” on the van, so that was too much chatter by him about his life. Sometimes it seemed to distract him from his driving. Very pleasant person
a good experience, but also can do research and explore on your own to save some money
Kenny was such a great guide! We had the most amazing tour and are so glad we booked this trip to Fort Worth and the stockyards. Kenny had so much knowledge about the sites and history, was so attentive and an all round kind, and wonderful man. I would recommend this day trip to anyone.
ISSAC was nice and knowledgeable. WE ENJOYED THE TOUR
We took in both tours. Easy parking near pickup points. We had William for the Dallas tour and Isaac for the Ft. Worth tour. Both excellent. Very knowledgeable and presented information with clarity. William was a hoot. Funny, informative and just a joy to be our guide. Isaac was an exceptional young man who is very knowledgeable and thorough. Please of time at the Stock Yard in Ft Worth. Both guides were great. Highly recommend.
William was amazing. Very knowledgeable with a great sense of humor. The city tour was very informational and the stock yards were neat to see and it was like going back in time, which we really liked.
Great overview punctuated by the stockyards and the walking of the longhorns. Want to go back for the museums and walking around downtown
Loved this trip. John, our guide, was welcoming and had lots of information to pass on to us. We learnt a lot and saw some wonderful sights and areas. Fort Worth was brilliant and we loved it there. We would have liked a little longer at Fort Worth but thats just a minor negative and didnt ruin our trip.
Any bus driver could have done as much as our tour guide Tim did. He offered minimal input or history on any of the highlights in Fort Worth. He dropped us off at the stockyards and told us he’d be back in an hour and a half. I was more than happy to bail on his tour and join a nearby walking tour
5 stars,Tim was a awesome guide
We had a great time with our driver and guide John, so much to see and do in Fort Worth, if we are ever back this way, I’d be heading to Fort Worth to stay for a while, loved the great big horned cattle, and cowboys re-enactment of the cattle drives
Was a great tour, the guide was clear and kind, was easy follow her, she give us time to enjoy and eat, arrive in time to all places where need go and take great pictures, I will recommend Anna for your next tour
It was a good time and felt I received a good overview of Ft Worth. Tim was a great tour guide and gave us a lot of facts and history along the way. He did a great job getting around all the traffic and people from the art festival that were there.
Tim was great! He went above and beyond to show us the city and all the sign seeing! He is very knowledgeable and helpful!
Preston was an excellent guide, so knowledgeable about the history of Dallas and Ft. Worth. He was funny, told lots of interesting stories and kept us entertained the whole trip. I highly recommend. Well worth the cost.
It is a good tour for learning about the city of Fort Worth, both history and present day, highlighting many different things to do and see.
Great experience, loved the Fort Worth Stockyards. It's a quaint little peek back into history. Nice shops and places to eat. Loved the cattle drive
Great guide and covered all the things we wanted to know about Fort Worth and a couple extra ! We highly recommend this tour
Had a great day, William was very friendly and knowledgeable, would highly recommend him you all you all.
Dan, our Tour Guide, was awesome! He provided us with lots of information; he was so willing to take pictures so that I didn't have to rely on selfies, and gave us recommendations on where to eat, stand for the best view of the cattle drive, and pointed out the restrooms.
Our Fort Worth tour was outstanding from start to finish. The guide was very knowledgeable, shared so many interesting stories about the city and Stockyards, and kept the whole experience fun and engaging for everyone in our group. We saw places we never would have found on our own, had plenty of time for photos and questions, and felt well taken care of the entire time. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area – it’s the perfect way to experience the real Fort Worth in just a few hours.
Tim was very knowledgeable of the history of the city, and catered to our questions and needs when prompted. We really enjoyed the tour and was able to embrace the pride of the city's legacy! The Ft. Worth Stockyards is a whole experience within itself. We loved the area and spent extended time there, after the tour. I would definitely recommend this tour to any and all. Don't hesitate!
Great tour of the Fort Worth Stocklands! I enjoyed this tour and would highly recommend. Anna and Dan were great tour guides and knew so much history about the JFK tragedy. They took us to the spot where it all happened and it was truly a learning experience for me. Hands down - 10/10!
Amazing tour. Very good driver. Very communicative. Gave a great history of Fort Worth and some information about Dallas and Texas. Stockyard experience wonderful. Easy walking to many shops to buy souvenirs, clothing, boots, hats, post cards and other trinkets.
Our Fort Worth tour was great. We had Preston as our guide and he was brilliant. He really knew his stuff. I would definitely recommend this tour and fingers crossed you get Preston as your guide
5/5 Christine was funny and knew what she was talking about The drive was great and we saw lots of things we would not have seen by ourselves. Cattle drive was excellent up close. Sir con was great as it was really hot outside Thanks 😊 👍 Christine
We enjoyed the tour with Dan today! He stopped at several sites so we could see things up close and take pictures. Plus he shared a lot of area history and old photos from back in the day. We are definitely spending more time at the Stockyards!
Isaac was the tour guide. He is passionate and knowledgeable. He did a great job showing us the water park, downtown of Fort Worth and stockyards station. Strongly recommended.
We saw a lot of things we would have never known about if we were just on our own. Really enjoyed Fort Worth.
This was a great tour, I thoroughly enjoyed it and would definitely recommend it to anyone who is visiting Dallas and has a chance to go to Fort Worth. Great value for money.
Well worth the journey. The city itself has a cool historical vibe and was great to wander around. The stockyards were amazing. Great places to shop, eat and take in the history that was. The cattle drive is not to be missed, just a really great day. Would definitely do again and would stay also in FW, as more to see and do than the tour allows
We live in Bedford and have talked about "touring" the metroplex just to learn more about it. We've traveled to other countries and learned about them. What about "home"? This was just what we had hoped. Preston was knowledgeable and his stories brought back memories. I planned this for the fathers for Father's Day. It was a nice day
Orlando was entertaining, knows a lot of Texas esp Dallas and Ft worth history. Good driver, felt safe. Enjoyed the sites of JFK memorials, Stockyards. Seeing a small herd of longhorns walk down the street at the Stockyard was amazing! Good experience overall! One suggestion, is for tour guide to keep it apolitical! Mentioning that it's only going to be Mexico and the U.S. that Canada was no longer to exist and calling the Gulf of Mexico, the Gulf of the Americas are controversial topics.
Very nice and educational.. must see for anyone visiting Dallas.. fun to watch the cattle thank you !
Dan our trip guide was super nice and knowledgeable . Where we went on tour was fun and a must see. The van though was awful . The bumpiest ride I have ever had . It seems as if the shocks etc were completely failing . I was in far back of van . Came off of seat many times during bumps and had to brace myself frequently . If you didn’t have back and neck pain before trip , you will definitely have it afterwards . The van itself gets an ‘F’. The tour and Dan were great
Tour guide Preston was engaging, knowledgeable and made the tour memorable. Outstanding tour and interactive.
Thought the stops and trips weren't that informative. Wish it had more stops and more history. Should have just driven to the stockyards myself.
Learning about the History from the driver on the way to Fort Worth. Stockyards were great! Enjoyed tour of downtown Fort Worth.
Visiting Dallas From England, I wanted to learn more about the History of Fort Worth Tim was fantastic giving us all an insight to Fort Worth and the Stockyards.
The whole day!! our group of tour people were little bluh. Guide was great! Loved Fort Worth. Would ho again.
Tim was an excellent tour guide! He was a wealth of knowledge and very professional. We learned a great deal about Fort Worth and its history. Many thanks, Tim!
Preston was great guide. Very insightful and engaging. First time exploring Fort Worth and will def be back
The tour was great! Preston was very knowledgeable. Amazing to see the difference between Dallas and Fort Worth. If I could mention one tiny thing to change is... an extra 30 min at the stockyards :)
It was 3 1/2 hours in total. It could have made another stop or two and given us more time so as not to feel rushed. Also, Risky’s BBQ had been recommended but it wasn’t tasty or worth the price. However, our tour guide Preston was great; extremely knowledgeable and gave us so much history and many interesting facts; all with a sense of humor. His narration for the duration of the van transportation was wonderful 🎖It’s a good experience.
