Banana Boat South Padre Island

Super fun excursion. I was scared of falling off, which i did, but the water was fine, and it was a lot of fun. It was great once I got out there.

Awesome… haven’t laughed that much in forever, It could ride 6 people but thank goodness it was just me and my friend… I was on the right side and kept sliding in the middle, if I had been on the left I would have fallen in several times… Walker was the dude on the jet ski pulling us around, and we just had a blast !!!!

The banana boat ride is a concept that needs a lot of improvement. I honestly don’t know who thinks this is enjoyable. You’re constantly getting blasted in the face with salty ocean water while struggling to hold onto a tiny loop and maintain your balance in an extremely awkward and uncomfortable position. I understand some people may enjoy it, but for me it was an unpleasant, painful experience and a complete waste of time, money, and energy. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Not an easy ride. The driver flipped us around like rag dolls. The adds didn’t say aggressive. I’m having a hard time moving, and walking so is my partner. Horrible time just horrible. Can’t believe what I experienced. N ver have I ever been mistreated like this. I won’t recommend something so nice a fun. It wasn’t at all !!! I will make sure all knows about this and I hope I can make a difference. He almost broke my leg.

We enjoyed this excursion on a beautiful sunny day! The ride goes really fast, a few fell off, but it was fun!! :)

A way to cool off. Ride was fun for our family but all on the left side got dumped off 3 times. It takes time off the ride and a lot of effort to get back on which you do on your own with only the assist from the others on the ride if they are able. Also, they do not provide or have goggles. Definitely recommend wearing goggles if you want to see or wear contacts. You get a lot of water in the face. But if we had goggles maybe would have lost them when we got dumped.

Be early as the company suggests. There are multiple excursions checking in at the same time. If you are really early, enjoy a beverage "to-go", as you wait from the restaurant attached. Hold on to your hats, because I lost mine! We laughed, we screamed, we want to do it again!!!

So much fun! Do it! You’ll be laughing the entire time! You’ll be drenched afterwards but it’s totally worth it. Friendly staff and fun for all ages.

This was so much fun! My children had a blast! Best day ever moment! It was challenging for us to get back on the boat but the guide helped and it was worth it..

I had a blast. If you are experiencing carpal tunnel or tendinitis don’t go! Lol. You must hold on tight to stay on, but some people are willing to fly in!! My 8 year old had a wonderful time. She wanted to go again!

What a blast!! We had such a fun time on the banana boat. Even falling off was fun! Would definitely do again!

Swim goggles or sunglasses at a minimum. We fell off but still had a great time! Customer service was great, boats were fast enough! Made up for not being able jetski and price was good!

So we are ate the restaurant on the same dock as the banana boat. Go there at 3:00pm. Banana boat was scheduled for 4:30pm. By the time we got out to go plates it was 4:15pm. When we got there just 30 feet away the guy had an attitude and said hurry, your already late. Nobody was before us. I told the dude, we paid for this just take time off, no need for an attitude and we paid $150. He continued with the attitude and said hurry your late. When he controlled the boat he as very aggressive. Tried to flip the banana boat over 6-8 times with 2 children on it. Every time he would take of and do a sharp turn he would look back. I told him to take us back and it was cut short. Never book him, I almost fought him after but my family said he wasn’t worth it. I still want to and just don’t book here please!!!!!

It was a nice experience and the weather was great

Staff is really good. Price is reasonable. One of the best adventure place I have ever been to. it is very safe.

Was an amazing first time. Definitely will bring the family to do it again. We had an amazing driver.

This was so fun! My husband and I did this for our honeymoon excursion and we had a blast! 10 out of 10 would really recommend

We had a great time on the banana boats! Great captain, fun tunes, and lots of wake waves to go around. Our kiddo kept asking to go back every day. Def recommend.

It was awesome. It was just me and my husband Our captain was very polite fun and helpful. We aren't young chickens any more and he was paying close attention to how we were handling it lol.

It was our first time riding the banana boat with full throttle from a boat….lots of hang on for dear life thrills and laughter!!

The Banana ride was much more intense and more fun than I thought. 20 minutes of holding on to the banana and ultimately failing. 3 of us lost our grip and landed on the water. Thankfully the other riders had more experience and guided us through the experience and helped us getting back on. Staff was friendly and helpful throughout the entire process.

We had an absolute blast on the Banana Boat ride! The staff was super friendly, made sure everyone felt safe, and gave us the perfect mix of speed and fun- even turned it down a bit to accommodate our youngest daughter. Great for both kids and adults – definitely a highlight of our trip. Highly recommend if you’re looking for something exciting on the water! Also, wanted to give a huge thanks for fishing me out after my unexpected Olympic “dive” off the boat dock! I may have lost my dignity and a croc, but thanks to y’all, I was out quickly. Your rescue skills were faster than my fall—which is saying something. 🤣 We definitely will be back!

Super fun time! Definitely more of a challenge than i originally thought lol. But it was a fun experience and would definitely do again !

We had so much fun together, the Banana Boat was a great little excursion we got to enjoy as a family. I highly recommend it, but be sure to take sunglasses as the salt water will get in your eyes & sting a little. Overall 10/10

It was very fun. The guys working there was nice & informative. The ride got better The faster he went. We left soak & wet but enjoyed minute.

Be prepared to get wet or possibly fall in the water/ocean. My family had a blast it was fast and fun.

Lots of fun. Friendly staff. I would recommend it for healthy people who can hang on for a wild ride. I felt very safe since the water was only 4 feet deep.

The staff was amazing! Our Captain was even more Amazing! He took a bunch of pictures of us and even a 42 second video! Great guy! He went above and beyond!

We were on our honeymoon and planning some fun outings. One of the outtings was canceled due to lack of availability. So we planned other activities instead. Only to find out that the activity we never booked bc we canceled before ever getting off the phone, they charged us for anyway, knowing we were on our honeymoon and on a budget. They promised to have the supervisor listen to the call and refund us our money, as all calls are recorded, only this never happened. When I called back to try and resolve the issue with them before calling my bank they treated me like a person they were only interested in making more money off of by setting up more activities- this continued even after I informed them that we were now home from our honeymoon. They showed zero remorse and zero interest in resolving the issue. I ended up getting my refund of well over $100, but only because I had to go through my bank. Later, on one of the activities, I learned we paid twice what most of the other people who were booked for the very same activity as us. I advise to stay far away from this company unless you just have money to throw away and don’t mind throwing it away! Seriously, it was that bad!!

Was so much fun!!! Driver was great!!! He wasn’t too crazy or too easy with us!! Was perfect for a family!!

Captain and staff were great! Captain listened and tailored our experience for us! We needed a slower ride for my special needs daughter, and ME!

My kids and teenagers thought this was the most fun thing we did all week. It’s a real workout. I on the other hand opted to ride in the boat because they kept wanting to go faster. The captain did a great job. Bring goggles and try not swallow the salty water when you fall in.

We arrived about 10 minutes before our scheduled time and were helped right away. They were great about letting us know what to leave behind so it doesn’t get lost and the banana boat ride was so fun! You can go with family or friends it’s fun for all!

Hang on tight and enjoy! Kids loved the ride. I would recommend wearing goggles to keep salt water out of your eyes.

This banana boat ride is so fun and thrilling!! There were 5 adult family members riding it and we certainly had a blast! We could not stop laughing with joy! We look forward to riding it again soon! We highly recommend it!

We had a great experience!! Would recommend to any family coming to South padre DO IT!!! This was our first time coming and we enjoyed every last bit of the ride.

This was so fun and will definitely book again when we come back to visit. The waves were choppy so it made the ride more fun.

My wife and I brought our four teenagers. One kept asking to go faster, the other slower. It was so fun, like a roller coaster. If you go slower, you won't fall off and it would still be super fun. You get to choose your own adventure.

Had a blast! The two teens rated it best of the trip for activities. Boat driver was great even with all the mixed messages we were giving him about slowing down or going faster. Was more than accomadating when one of our party needed to ride in the boat. Check in and all directions were smooth. Definitely recommend.

I went with my siblings ages 15-20 and we had a blast! We are a little sore but it was completely worth it.

Was late for check-in due to vendor amending the original time it was scheduled (and placed into my phone). Vendor refused to reschedule or issue a refund. We really didn't want the refund - just the experience, as this was a wedding gift for us for our honeymoon. It was a huge disappointment not only to us, but to our family members who paid for this for us. A waste of their money and sweet intentions for a selfish company. Definitely not a good experience for our honeymoon. Do not recommend. They just might change your time and hold you accountable for not showing up on time after it's changed. Spend your money somewhere more customer-centric.

Ohhhh my goodness, we thought it was a boat ride around the ocean but boy this was such a blast. I’m sorry, I forgot his name but he did such a great job! Butttt we didn’t fall off the banana boat 🤣. I wish there was a recoding of his reactions, I did nothing but laugh the whole ride. I loved every moment. He also had a blast! We would definitely be back with the family.

Eternal 2 families, we had 6 kids ranging from 12 to 17 years old. It was great all 6 kids rode the banana boat together and had an absolute blast! At least 1 time they all were knocked in the water and they loved it. The only thing they were disappointed with was that the ride was too short!

Enjoyed the ride. Although the weather was not on our side we still had lots of fun. The boat captain was very kind. He kept checking on us to ensure the kids were safe.

It's a blast and the driver was super great we all stayed on he didn't go to fast it was a fun thing to do we will mostly definitely do this again when we come back next year

The staff were all kind. My teenage boys (15yo) said that the ride was okay, but not a thrill. They said it was a calm float with just one wave that was sorta fun.
