Hannah was an exceptional guide for my first visit to Austin, Texas! I wanted to gain a deeper understanding of the city’s rich history, particularly how Austin became the seat of government for Texas. Hannah exceeded every expectation. As luck would have it, I was the only person booked for the tour that day, which gave me the wonderful opportunity to ask as many questions as I wanted. And ask I did! Hannah’s remarkable knowledge of Austin’s history, its people, landmarks, and fascinating stories was truly impressive. Her conversational style, warm personality, and genuine enthusiasm made the experience both educational and thoroughly enjoyable. I honestly didn’t want our time together to end! One particular memorable moment occurred during our visit to the Texas State Capitol building, where we were treated to the beautiful sounds of choirs singing in the rotunda. The acoustics were absolutely phenomenal, no need of microphones, making an already magnificent setting even more extraordinary. From exploring Austin’s distinctive neighborhoods and historical landmarks to climbing Mt Bonnell for breathtaking views of the city and its beautiful architecture, every stop added something special to the experience. Even our coffee break at Sweetest to Swedish Coffee, where we enjoyed a little nourishment and conversation, was a delightful part of the day. Hannah has a wonderful gift for bringing history to life while making you feel as though you’re exploring the city with a knowledgeable and geeky friend! Our time together was incredibly well spent, and I left with a much greater appreciation for Austin and its fascinating history! My recommendation.? Ask for Hannah! You will be so glad you did! She made my first visit to Austin an unforgettable experience and I will visit again! DD

We were lucky to only have us two on the tour with our tour guide so seemed private. He took us first into the Texas Capital building to tell us the historical background and show us inside interesting items. Then bus tour around Austin and out to Mount Bonnel for views of the city. We made a few small stops for food and rest breaks so not a rushed tour at all. We enjoyed seeing Austin since we are not locals. I highly recommend this tour.
Alex did a great job describing Austin to us as we drove to Mt. Connell and thru different neighborhoods. The Capitol tour was really good, lots of fun information!
Jess is a terrific guide. Very knowledgeable and very friendly. We enjoyed our tour a lot- especially the capital Thanks!
Guide was informative and friendly. Would recommend to friends and family Visiting Austin. Would go again
Tour guide picked me up from my hotel and come to find out I was the only one so it was like a private tour! The tour is a great way to see Austin over a greater distance and learn some very interesting history. The stop for a dessert at the vegan vegetarian oasis Casa de Luz was an added bonus.
What an amazing way to experience and see the city of Austin! Our tour guide Tyler was great and very informative about the Capitol, the buildings and the history of Texas! I could have never gone to these places on my own so this is the way to see it! Highly recommend :)
Mike is a great your guide! Very informative and it was wonderful to see the city from all different sides.
Mike picked us up in a clean comfortable van. He was very personable and full of facts . We had a very enjoyable tour of the park with great views We stopped at a very Austin Eastern spiritual center for a snack Then to an informative tour of the state capitol. Would highly recommend Mike if you have the chance
Great tour of the Capital building. Learned interesting facts about the building and stare of Texas. Joseph was very knowledgeable. He was also on time and accommodating for my friend who could not walk a lot. Also loved the authentic Mexican tacos he gave us. Great tour guide who made the trip even better.
The guide was very good and a safe driver. I would have expected to see more over 3 hours. Seeing some homes was good but took up too much of the time. I would have liked to see more of UT Austin and maybe Ladybird Lake areas. French bakery was a good stop.
Delightful tour guide, we learned a lot about Austin. Capitol tour was great. Good tacos at OneTaco.
Boring, short, uninteresting. Missed several highlights. Barely filled 2 hours
Very informative, Joseph was a great tour guide. Answered many questions and pointed out many points of interests.
We scheduled our tour for 12:30. No one showed up and we were outside in the cold. It took 2 calls to discover they had no driver available. Ruined our day plan. Requested we push it yo 4 pm but already had other plans scheduled. Still awaiting for refund. Will never book with company again.
Informative! Mike our tour guide is knowledgeable he encouraged us to ask questions and let him know if there were anything we were interested in checking out or focusing more on the tour.
We were downtown so we were picked up at the hotel, that was great and Victoria our tour guide was on time, and very informative. It was only 4 of us, so it felt very private. We made stops in/out and enjoyed the tour
The tour was well done. Mike was friendly, informative and accommodating. I enjoyed the tour and learned some interesting things about Austin.
My spouse and I were the only guests on the tour, and we had such a fantastic experience with our guide Michael and his teammates, Charles and Bimmy. They were all incredibly nice, knowledgeable, and friendly, which made the tour even more enjoyable. We had a lot of fun together, learned so much, and truly appreciated their kindness — they even treated us to lunch! Highly recommend this tour and the amazing team behind it.
Victoria was wonderful, easy to talk too, great communication. We had so much fun with her during this tour!
Tour was short and brief. We were picked up 1 hour and 44 minutes later. The tour lasted one hour not the 3 Ibpais for as in the description. The tour guide Michael(Mike) was very brief and rushed
A 3 hour tour of Austin and the capital building, culminating in some great tacos. It was a fun and very informative tour. Our tour guide Moke was very helpful and knowledgeable. Would recommend to others.
While my tour guide was wonderful, we definitely didn’t go to very many of the places it says that you will go to. For the amount of money you are paying, you should be able to expect to see everything listed and we did not. Mount Bonnell was wonderful but never got to Barton Springs or the Pennybacker bridge and the tour was done early and started late. Not worth the amount of money for the trip.
J.D. was very accommodating there were only two in our group, my husband and myself so we could see as much or this little of Austin as we wanted we had excellent tacos for lunch. We got to see the Capital. We went to a high lookout point JD was very mannerly and polite. Would definitely use his company again.
Austin,TX is an awesome place to visit and get to know about.Tour advisor Mike is a consummate professional and considerate with interruptions from my constant 'ohs and WOWs' not to mention with my selfies.I have enjoyed my indicated tour.Thank you
Rob was our guide. He is knowledgeable, passionate, patient and courteous. The weather was quite hot but he did his best to show us Austin.
John was great very informative fun and knowledgeable. We enjoyed his stories and background info in the capital.
Our guide, Mike, was fantastic! Very knowledgeable and personable. Great experience! Would definitely do another tour with him again.
The tour guide customized the tour to whatever we wanted to see. He even made it possible for us to see the troll in Peas Park. He took us to Mt Bonnell, the library rooftop, and was so patient when we came out of the library gift shop late. We had the best time! I highly recommend this tour!
We had an agreeable and experienced guide, John III, who happens to have a music background as well. He followed a very good pace giving us a chance to really learn about and enjoy all the venues that we visited!
A good overview of Austin covering major aspects of its history and architecture, as well as the surrounding landscape.
John will be not just another guide, he entertains, provide knowledge and open doors to know Austin from within.
We did not have a good experience on this tour. Our guide, who never even introduced herself so I can't tell you who to avoid, only stopped at the capital. The rest of the tour was in a car, no stops anywhere. No Mount Bonnell, no nothing. We could have rented a car and done our own thing much cheaper as the capital offers free tours. Don't waste your time with this. I put a complaint in with viator but I doubt they will do the right thing and return my money. Our 3 hour tour was an hour and a half with probably 40 minutes of it at the capital.
Tour guide was really nice but only stopped at the state capitol and then a driving tour. I think she may have been new and confused not sure. I saw the itinerary was subject to change so didn't say anything but realized afterwards that "Mt. Bonnell" was in the name of the tour and we didn't even go. We didn't go to the murals, barton springs, the pennybedder bridge or Mt. Bonnell as mentioned in the trip advisor "what to expect". Was very disappointed as we only stopped once.
John was great, very knowledgeable and entertaining. Excellent tour. Van another story, Nice vehicle but “shot” shocks made for a very bumpy and uncomfortable ride (Like a 3rd world van)
John was our guide and very knowledgeble about the capitol but spent way over an hour there on every floor and too much time on paintings etc. We learned nothing about everything outside. On the entire tour he talked too much about himself (I also read that in another review) and the music he is involved in. We were picked up after 1 and not back until about 4 30 and we only did inside state capitol, Mt Bonnelli, a Texas mural and coffee shop and some information driving between these places. In your information tour was to include Pfluger bridge and Pennybacker bridge (which I asked about and he made excuses about not much to see and not going there. I believe he spent way too much time at capitol and then not time to stop other places which were to be included. Information said entry fees included but there were no entry fees as these all free. He drove a new Mercedes van that he did not know how to get air conditioning to the back seat and was very warm that day so not too comfortable. This is an expensive tour (including a tip) as I had a group of 4 at $109 per person and really did not see alot except the capitol and you can go there and get a free tour yourself. I really expected to see alot more of Austin and was very disappointed!
Our driver ran 2 red lights and made a couple of political comments that, although they may resonate with some, were pretty inappropriate in general. The building and sights we visited were fine.
An absolutely incredible tour around the key landmarks if Austin. I booked this tour through Viator - Mike was an excellent guide and able to tailor the tour to my interests
An absolutely incredible tour around Austin and the main highlights. Mike was a fantastic guide. Highly recommend
Tour of the Texas State Capital was guided, not self-guided as described on the website. Also a nice lunch was provided.
This is an amazing way to learn the history and see the beauty of Austin. John's knowledge historical knowledge in general is simply astonishing. He has such a pleasant personality and takes pride in making sure you're questions are answered... not to mention he took us to get some of the best tacos ever! Thank you for a wonderful tour! Eric and Racquel
Had a great tour around with John. Saw all the highlights of Austin on a 3 1/2 hour ride with several stops. John has amazing knowledge of Austin and told us so much about the city.
We went on a private 6 person tour with John- loved it, he seems local, history teacher.. really enjoyed our day. He knew enough about key parts of Austin, and had great stories..
Bill was a wonderful tour guide and shared a wealth of information about Austin. I had some unexpected mobility issues and he was very accommodating.
Wonderful guide. Very knowledgeable, flexible and friendly. I would highly recommend this tour especially at the beginning of your trip to Austin.
Guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. The tour was fun and informative. I was able to see places I would otherwise not have known about.
The guide was friendly and flexible. He sent a text to me to let me know he had arrived to pick us up at our hotel. He arrived about 15 minutes before the official start time of the tour. When booking the tour, you can specify a pick up at your hotel if it is not too far away from the downtown area. The guide gave us a nice mini-history of Texas, an excellent tour of the Texas Capitol building, and showed us many aspects of it you wouldn’t likely find by yourself. It is quite an impressive building with a lot of history about it. We were also given a tour of various areas and neighborhoods. The guide was also able to answer many questions about restaurants and other entertainment. The tour was worth the money.
Mike was very friendly and knowledgeable of Austin and Texas history. Great experience. Highly recommend the tour w Mike!
Mike was wonderful. He was super friendly and very accommodating. It was a fun afternoon and he definitely knows his way around the Austin Capital Complex building and Austin city area. One of the highlights was the stop for a taste of Austin which included the best taco I have ever had. Thanks Mike!
I wish I had known that I could get a free tour of the capital at the capital building so that the tour operator could show us more things around Austin. For example, I never saw an art museum. A science museum. Period maybe there’s not more to see.
