Itinerary
Our expert guides will explain in detail how the iconic Driskill Hotel fits into the story of the "Servant Girl Annihilator". Built in the very year of the murders, 1885, you will be able to tour the lobby of this magnificent hotel and view the impressive portrait of its creator, Colonel William "Jessie" Driskill. (This stop is subject to the Driskill's rules and hours of operation and is available most, but not every night. However, all tours will see up close this beautiful hotel and learn of its history.)
Our expert true crime storytellers will escort your group through parts of the historic 6th street district in downtown Austin. Watch 6th street come to life as you view old photographs of how the street appeared during the time of the murders in 1885.
The Speakeasy Tavern at 412 Congress Avenue is a crucial stop to understanding one of the possible suspects of the servant girl murders. Our expert guides will escort you inside and explain how this location weaves into the tapestry of this true crime mystery. While at the Speakeasy, you have an opportunity to grab a drink from the bar and enjoy the history of the tavern. (Drinks not included)

Our tour guide did an excellent job explaining all of the juicy details of the serial killer and his kills - all while building anticipation along the journey to hear the end. I ran a little late getting there, so didn’t catch her name or I would mention it.
We had so much fun our guild kept it lite and full of all the best information we needed told some awesome side stories will definitely tell others
The tour was amazing! Our guide Tyler was very enthusiastic and informative throughout the entire walk. We stopped at each murder spot and were given a lot of facts about how each one affected the entire city of Austin. I highly recommend to anyone visiting the city.
Fun, informational tour through a bit of Austin’s history. Tour guide was knowledgeable and passionate about the subject.
Our tour guide was wonderful. Will was very knowledgeable and paced the tour well. He made sure to provide historical background to the facts. He was also personable and made sure that the tour members were comfortable. Provided a water and restroom stop. Will was warm and welcoming.
It involves a couple miles of walking. Mostly flat but some people struggled with the hills and the heat. Will was a great tour guide who really seemed to enjoy the history and telling the story of the serial killer.
Very interesting history. Had no prior knowledge of this topic. Great way to see a very vibrant area of Austin as well. Wes was a great tour guide!
Very Unorganized with meet up points
Tyler was an awesome guide. He really brought the story of Austin in 1885 to life.
Amazing! Our tour guide was a gentleman from London that was so educated on the topic It felt like an interactive movie. It’s a great way to walk around and get familiar with the city. Would highly recommend!!
The best guide there is!!! Very knowledgable and he (Will) went above and beyond when he didn't have to. My kids and I had a wonderful experience and I’d recommend the tour for any murder mystery enthusiasts!
Jude was amazing. It was very informative and thought provoking.
This was such an interesting experience! Will, our guide, was incredibly knowledgeable about the history of Austin and the murders that took place in the 1880s. The walk was long but not bad at all. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes!
Our guide was wonderful! Learned so much and our guide was so into what he’s was talking about that it was very engaging. Really enjoyed the little stop half way through at a hotel to cool down and grab a drink
It was a fun, unique experience, and we learned a lot of Austin history and fun facts about Texas while walking to the sites of these horrible murders. It's not quite as morbid as it sounds, but it's not for the young or the sensitive because the crimes were really terrible. Our guide was Will, and he was great!
The tour was excellent, we learned a lot of things on the history of Austin as well as enjoyed a good story telling about the midnight assassin.
Our tour guide Will was amazingly knowledgeable and interesting. But be ready to walk and keep up! We had a group who showed up late, could not keep up, and would not read the room that they were repeatedly delaying the entire experience. A super interesting (and appropriately timed) two hour tour took three hours because of them. Our tour guide accommodated to the detriment of all other participants. If you cannot show up on time and walk 2 miles at a reasonable pace in the Austin heat, choose another tour so as to not negatively impact those who can.
Jude was fantastic. It was super interesting and he was a great story teller
Great trip. Captain Max was friendly, easygoing and knowledgeable. Great weather, pretty sunset but also saw a lot of birds as well as the gorgeous homes around the lake. Would definitely book again.
Tyler was amazing! He had us trying to figure out who the murderer was the entire time.
Tyler did a great job and I really enjoyed learning about Austin history through the context of this murder spree in 1885.
Jude was an excellent tour guide! I enjoyed listening to his English accent as he led us through the eight murders that took place in Austin in the late 1800s. He took us through the chronology of events, describing the scene and events in detail, yet without being unnecessarily graphic. He explained several different theories related to the killer’s identity and why he was never caught. Even though the weather wasn’t cooperative or pleasant, Jude made the evening both interesting and enjoyable. Highly recommend!
Tyler was so well-versed in the history of what happened here in Austin in the 1880s and he was very animated in his presentation. We got hit with pop up thunderstorms and a little wet but Tyler looked for places to stay as dry as possible and made the tour work even in the rain.
Will did an excellent job in telling ghost stories. My son and I had signed up for the Murder Tour which got cancelled. We were offered the ghost tour...I don't believe in ghosts, but Will made th tour fun and interesting! It was filled with history and interesting facts. He also took the time afterwards with no prompting from us and have us information from the murder tour! This was extremely interesting. Thank you, Will! You did an awesome job!!
Just a fantastic experience. Tyler was soo knowledgeable and passionate. Really brought the experience to life
Absolutely loved! Me and my husband walked this tour with Tyler and we had such a great time. Really glad we got him in particular, very knowledgeable and seemed excited to be there!

We had a great time. Tyler was an awesome tour guide. His information about the murders and the city was great, but his enthusiasm about the tour was wonderful. Highly recommended
Will was the best!! Unbelievably knowledgeable and passionate, really took us back in time, great experience
Shannon was very knowledgeable and engaging. She even gave us a ride back to our vehicle.
Great Austin & Texan history sites seen all along the walk. It was an easy pace, very informative and knowledgeable tales of each place we visited.
I really enjoyed this tour! It was a different way to see and experience Austin. Was fortunate to get Tyler as a guide and he is super knowledgeable!
Will is an extraordinary guide. Love the passion and genuine friendliness. I’d do it again! Also you must try a Doritos locos taco from Taco Bell!
Tyler did an amazing job with covering so much information in a short amount of time in such a captivating & engaging way. We could tell how passionate he is about sharing the stories of the murder victims & history of Austin. He showed us really cool photos & old newspaper articles that brought everything to life. 10/10!! Thanks Tyler!!

Learned a lot about the history of the Midnight Assassin and the city of Austin. Had a great time, our tour guide Will was awesome!
Filled with lots of knowledge and info! There were pictures, and this case is still unsolved. It was pretty interesting. The tour guide was passionate about this topic, and she had so many details memorized. It was wild. I couldn't talk that in depth about anything.
We had such a great time. Learned so much and the ending was wonderful. A must do in Austin. Thanks again.
