The tour guide, Dylan was amazing. We all had a great time and he showed us some really cool spots and had great drink recommendations. He even shared a list of food and bar recommendations for around the city. I would definitely recommend to a friend.
I didn’t realize that “speakeasy”just meant “hidden bar” - I was expecting to visit 3 bars with a 1920’s theme. But this tour was way cooler. Loved the uniqueness of each bar and drink specials on each menu. Our tour guide knew details about each drink which was helpful.

This tour was very unique, both interesting and fun. The cocktails at each bar were very good. But it was the atmosphere and the story behind each one that made it a great tour. These are places we would never have seen if we hadn't taken the tour. Our tour guide Dylan was excellent...he made the tour! The speakeasy environments were great. I didn't appreciate the change of the final location as no transportation was provided.
The tour was very good and the guide was even better. I enjoyed all the bars which were very different. However, parking at the first bar was impossible even though the tour itinerary indicated that there was plenty of parking at the restaurant/bar. There was no parking and we had to drive back to Airbnb and take an Uber. Fortunately, we had enough time.

I come to Austin for conferences a couple times a year. This time I decided to skip the usual conference steakhouse dinner and do something interesting to learn more about the city. I picked this tour because it was in the evening. I am so glad I chose this one. I was solo and had a great time. Good way to see a few parts of the city that you probably wouldn’t even know were there. Guide was high energy and knowledgeable on the culinary scene and even had some nice info on the history and growth of Austin as we walked around.

Dylan’s 3 Speakeasies Tour in Austin was absolutely fabulous. From start to finish, it felt like an adventure with a fun group of strangers who quickly became part of the experience. These were places we never would have found on our own, each one truly captured the spirit of the Prohibition era, complete with hidden entrances, storefront disguises, and secret codes that made every stop exciting. We were welcomed like VIPs at every location, and each speakeasy offered something unique from the flavors to the atmosphere. While none of the spaces were large, they each had a strong presence and great energy, even on a Tuesday night. Our time at each stop is limited, so I recommend eating beforehand (as others have suggested). I’d also encourage you to try something different at each location, you don’t have to leave the tour sloshed just because it’s bar-focused. Between stops, Dylan shared fascinating history about the area, adding depth to the experience. He was more than just a tour guide, he was a personal concierge, answering every question and offering excellent recommendations for the rest of our time in Austin. He truly went above and beyond to make sure the tour exceeded expectations. If you want to dress up, you definitely should, it fits the vibe, but casual attire is perfectly acceptable too. Since there is walking involved through downtown, comfortable shoes are a must. The tour wraps up at the perfect time to continue the night on 6th Street if you’re looking to keep the fun going.
