It was magical never been on a horse b4 and it was a great experience learning everything you need to know about mounting and controlling your horse. Really beautiful ranch and forest you go through. Amazing guide they are kind and knowledgeable. Worth the price!! Long 1 hour ride!!

My 9-year-old son and I did the 1.5 hour adventure trail ride. I would not say it was particularly "adventurous" because the horses traveled very slowly and the terrain was quite flat; however, my son and I are new to horse back riding so it was perfect for us. My son was nervous when he first got on the horse, but the trail guides are friendly and experienced, and within 20 minutes my son was feeling very confident. Most of the trail is in the shade so it wasn't uncomfortable even in the summer. I appreciated that our guide was happy to take lots of pictures of us using my cell phone (it was actually her suggestion). Afterward, we bought some horse treats for a few dollars and got to feed and pet several horses. My son was excited to tell his friends all about it when we got home.

My 16 year old son and I thoroughly enjoyed our ride with Alexia! Our horses, Jasmine & Oasis, were calm and well-cared for. Even in the July heat, we were fairly comfortable because 95% of the ride was in the shade of the woods. I’d recommend a morning or evening ride in the summer months. We wore jeans and tennis shoes/boots. I appreciated that they remove the horse’s saddles, hose the horses off, and give them rest between rides. We loved it! Highly recommend!

My granddaughter & I had a blast. It had been 20 yrs since I had ridden. The horses were very well behaved. The leader of our small group was very knowledgeable & fun to chat with. This was a very enjoyable time for the two of us.

Very impressed with their operation. As an experienced horsemen I thought they were very detailed oriented and professional. Laz was our our trail guide and he handles himself very well around my non-experienced friends who were very nervous at the beginning of the ride and finished loving it and wanting to repeat. Their horses are well cared for and timid and easy to handle. The trails were incredibly well maintained and I would highly recommend this place for a a first class trail ride.

This is my 6th ride ( 4th, 1 hour Private fast ride ) . Kate was the Wrangler and we covered all the bases. Great well cared for horses, great knowledgeable staff, great location, great way to experience the outdoors.

We had the greatest time. The horses were gentle when we needed them to be and when we were brave we have them a little gitty up. The scene on the trail was amazing. All wranglers we came in contact with were friendly.

Great experience for me and my daughter, the wrangler could adapt to our different skill levels and also showed some amazing scenery.

Adults and kids in our group have had a great time experiencing being a Texan! Very well trained horses and exellent guides. We’ll definitely come back with friends from out of town.

Three of us booked on to this as part of a trip across Texas, Louisiana and Tennessee, and it was a real highlight of the holiday. We were running a few minutes late, having driven straight from Austin, but the team quickly got us ready and mounted, with no fuss. We joined a larger group and, after some introductions, tips, learning, we set off on a beautiful, relaxing ride through woodland, open space, and along the bayou, with a mix of flat, as well as gentle inclines and declines. It was only my second time on a horse as an adult (and I think I only once "rode" as a small child), and the team had paired me up with a horse that had been to the World Equestrian Games, so it felt like a potential mismatch, but that wasn't an issue. The horses are all trained to walk in a line and I felt looked after at all points on the ride. Five stars to the team. Five stars and a carrot to the horse.

This was a great experience. The staff all seem to love their jobs and are very patient. They obviously care about all of their customers enjoying the visit. The trail ride was so peaceful, and the entire route is shaded. We were never hot, even riding in July around lunch time.

Melisa was an exceptional horseback riding guide who went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. I apologize for taking so long to leave this review—this ride left such a lasting impression that I couldn’t let it go unacknowledged. You can tell Melisa genuinely loves her career, which made the ride so much more fun and entertaining. This was a gift for my girlfriend and a chance to fulfill a longtime dream for her, and Melisa played a huge part in making it perfect. This is the BEST place to trail ride in Houston. It's near IAH, so whether you're just visiting Houston or live here, make sure to take a ride. You will not be disappointed and will be happy that you did. Texas = Horses. The horses are well-cared for, have the best hooves I've seen, and are kept hydrated and fed throughout out the day. And don't be scared if you've never ridden; the horses are truly gentle and will safely carry you on your adventure. The guides will show you how to steer and stop your horse. The trails are fantastic, and you can see Cypress Creek and Spring Creek with their white, sandy beaches. I've seen rabbits, native flowering plants, herons and egrets, all manner of song birds, red-tailed and red-shouldered hawks, kestrels, Mississippi kites, crested caracaras, and heard woodpeckers. I've heard the very distinctive sound bull frogs along with green tree frogs and leopard frogs. The staff are great have their own horses on site as well. I've been on four rides already, and I'll keep coming back. Trail ride outfits are becoming hard to find in the Houston area, so I'm glad to have found this Cypress Trails Ranch. Go ride! You'll be happy you did.

My husband and I had an amazing time at Cypress Trails Ranch during our recent trip to Texas. I’ve never really been around horses before and wasn’t very confident, but the staff were very friendly and welcoming and gave me a mini lesson on how to ride. This meant I finished the trail ride feeling like I had actually ridden a horse independently and really boosted my confidence - I would love to do it again! The trail itself is beautiful, and the staff all clearly love their jobs and really look after the horses. Would definitely recommend!

Cypress Trails has the best Trail Guides, friendly and healthy horses great for the beginner rider or the experienced rider. It’s fun to go on the trail ride and to take the scenic route. It’s a slice of heaven on earth, great for all ages! I love connecting with nature 10/10 I highly recommend!

We had an amazing time going on a one hour trail ride with our guide Sasha! The trail was beautiful and Sasha was wonderful! The place is great with many beautiful horses (and they even take care of some rescue dogs!)

Second time riding and will be back. The wranglers are super friendly and knowledgeable. The horses are sweet and happy. It was a pleasure and made my day. We had solo riders, couples, locals and visitors form out of state and other countries on the ride. Everyone was made to feel welcome and comfortable.

Our instructor, Lauren, was super friendly, very patient and so much fun! All of the staff were super helpful. The horses were amazing and extremely well behaved. Even though the hurricane had just come through the trail was beautiful and very peaceful. We would definitely do it again!
