The Westin Houston Downtown

Felt more like a plain Marriott than a Westin hotel. Room had a smell to it so needed to change rooms. Service was good. Beds were comfortable. The breakfast was good as well. Convenient location across the street from a target and mall.

We were fortunate to work with the Westin and Michael Lyman on two very different needs, and they delivered beautifully on both. The first was hospitality for our patients. Many of them travel in from out of state for surgery at our brand new, state of the art surgery center, and having a comfortable, restful place for them to stay while here in Texas is important to us. The Westin gave us exactly that, and knowing our patients will be well taken care of gives our team real peace of mind. The second was catering, including our grand opening. That event was a tremendous success and it simply would not have been possible without the amazing culinary team and staff. Every detail was handled with warmth and professionalism, and our guests noticed. What tied both of these together was Michael Lyman. The world needs more Michaels. He is the reason we chose the Westin. From our first conversation he was friendly, welcoming, and remarkably knowledgeable, and the tour he gave the executive leadership team made the decision an easy one. We were beyond impressed and remain so. We are already looking ahead to future events and to many more patients staying with you. Great location and venue to host meetings in the conference rooms and in the dining area. Typical downtown parking can be challenging. There is a nearby garage and valet options with varying prices. The valets are fast to respond. The hotel lobby is on the second floor so you have to immediate start navigating elevators etc. outdoor balcony area is fantastic for dining and meeting when the weather is nice.

Just perfect. Everything is near this hotel. Valet your car and walk around town. Hotel has plenty amenities, clean rooms, great front door and desk service, and plenty more. I would definitely stay here again.
