This is a hard one to evaluate. The hotel lobby feels more like a club than a lobby. It is very dark. The generously-sized room is style over substance. By that I mean there is no place to put things. The beautiful mini-bar overwhelms the usefulness of the closet. Many guests--including us--come to this hotel for events but there is no place to hang longer clothes and even men's shirts hang crumpled on top of the small two-drawer chest below. No other storage. To sit and talk or share a drink there was only one chair at the table and even when we requested another, none arrived. For room service meals, the choice is to sit on the low platform bed or on the very low occasional chair to eat while the other person sits normally at the table. There is no shelf space or desk area. Fortunately, the bedside tables are large. Our room (1026) looked down on the Main Street, and even from the 10th floor the noise was very loud until after midnight. Check in was easy and the staff were very good. The room was clean.

We had such a wonderful staycation at the Line!! We were upgraded to a corner suite for our babymoon with our two goldens and the view/space was amazing! Everyone from the front desk to the valet was super friendly. We loved our day out by the pool, which was cool and refreshing. It does start getting busy by like 1030ish, so if you want a chair I recommend getting an early start! But honestly, most people sit in the pool because it’s just so hot so it’s easy to just drop your stuff off in the shade and head to the pool with a cold drink! We loved the walkability to so many restaurants, but really enjoyed room service with our Amex credits as well as Veracruz!! This hotel has been around for many years as different hotels, so yes it’s not brand spanking new but it felt clean, updated, and had such a great experience. Will definitely be recommending to friends and family and hope to stay here again another time!
I've always wanted to stay here; it's been on my bucket list for years. I really liked our room despite our view staring right into the neighboring office building. I thought the "room service only breakfast" was odd, but the food was good, just ungodly expensive. The pictures on google show a much nicer hotel in 2019. I don't know what spurred the renovations but the bar used to look great, now it's got raw sheetrock walls. The pool gets very busy and thus needs more seating. Now what made me lower the rating to a 2 is the billing practices. I stay at hotels nearly every week for work and have never had a bill that I couldn't understand. The total I was charged did not match what I was told at checkout and when I looked over the email folio, it made no sense. The line items add up to almost 200 dollars less than what I was charged. I called and spoke with someone who seemed flustered over the phone trying to say explain it as well. I got the vibe that this is a regular problem. Given the billing issues, I would not stay here again.
Excellent hotel all around. Good rooms and amenities. Decor and vibes are solid, good restaurant and bar options, killer pool, decent gym. Absolutely amazing location, walking distance to many many things, you could easily get away without needing a car. Bat bridge is right there, ladybird lake walking trail is less than 100ft away. Service was excellent, fast and responsive, very helpful staff from valet to front desk to bar to housekeeping. Can’t recommend this place enough, will stay again.
I traveled to Austin for a conference, but the hotel helped make it feel like a vacation. Booking & check-in was seamless and the front desk staff was friendly and made great recommendations for things to do and see in the area. The espresso machine in our room wasn’t working, and our front desk staff had a new one sent up within 10 mins of bringing it up. Housekeeping turned in an item we forgot in our suite to the front desk after we checked out, and we were luckily able to retrieve it. I couldn’t get the safe to lock in our room, but our items were untouched. The hotel is downtown and right next to the bridge with the largest bat colony in TX, which was so cool. There room was roomy, clean, and serviced daily - only downside was the water sometimes sprayed out of the shower as it is an open concept. There’s a few restaurants & a coffee shop on the property, all the food we had delicious and it was very convenient. The infinity pool was relaxing, had seats in the water, and a fireplace. The pool bar made it convenient to order drinks and food from the restaurants on the property as well. The mini print vending machine and photo booth in the lobby were a fun treat too. Overall, this was a relaxing experience and made the perfect first trip to Austin!
