I stayed at the Renaissance St. Elm over the weekend for a birthday celebration and had the most wonderful stay! Maya and Lily at check-in were both so sweet and attentive. The charcuterie board and chocolate-covered strawberries were delicious and exceeded my expectations. My room was clean, cozy, and beautifully decorated, and I especially loved the record player, which added such a nice touch to the ambiance. The food and drinks at the restaurant were also spectacular. Giovanna, Jared, and Tyson were all incredibly kind, attentive, and patient. Overall, I had an amazing experience and would absolutely recommend the Renaissance St. Elm to anyone looking for a beautiful and memorable stay. I can’t wait to return!
Lately we had an absolutely wonderful stay again at this hotel. The location is absolutely fantastic and the people are even better! Even though it may cost a little bit extra, please valet, they have one of the best in town! Timasi was so very friendly and they had us in and out in less than 12 minutes each time!
This is one of my favorite hotels to escape to in Dallas. This last experience was however a little bit better than the rest. From the moment I checked in Alex at the front desk was so sweet and funny. Talking to him was like talking to an old friend. I had t.v issue and as I left I let it be known. When I returned the t.v was still unfixed, however when I went down stairs (around 1am) there was an older lady working the front desk who was already told by Alex and switched my room. She was so sweet and funny. The next morning I decided to extend my stay and Genesis assisted me with that she was drinking this pretty drink and Ms jade over heard me saying how good it looked (lavender lemonade 😋) and made me one which was delicious. These two ladies are first of all gorgeous, but secondly very attentive and know how to keep you wanting to come back. Beautiful room, amazing staff, housekeepers didn't leave a spec behind and always spoke first in hallways. You guys have a wonderful staff and they all deserve recognition 👏🏾 ❤️
Absolutely fantastic experience! First time staying here and we loved everything about the hotel. The bar and restaurant are beautiful and the staff is incredible. Jared and the other servers were fantastic and we ended up having drinks before dinner, then we had a great dinner with Jared as our server, and then we went back again after our concert for a night cap. The hotel rooms are generously sized (especially for a downtown location), the record players are really cool, the beds are super comfy, and the water pressure in the huge shower was fantastic. The valet parking team was also a huge plus. We will always stay herE in Dallas from now on.
I am incredibly frustrated with my recent stay, which was an absolute failure in both service and cost transparency. This is certainly not the level of professionalism or quality I expect when booking with the Marriott brand.
The front desk staff casually told me to return in 30 minutes because my room was not ready. I did as asked, but when I returned 1.5 hours later, the room was still not ready. Having to wait nearly two hours past check-in time is completely unacceptable.
The staff attempted to force me into a different room type. They repeatedly insisted that a deluxe room was better than the 1-bedroom suite I had actually booked. It was insulting to be told what I should prefer after they failed to provide the room I had reserved and paid for.
To make matters worse, there is a lack of transparency regarding costs. Even when using rewards for a stay, be aware that there is an $80 plus tax hidden fee that is not clearly communicated upfront. I booked with Marriott expecting a certain standard of service, reliability, and honesty. This experience failed on all fronts. I will be reconsidering my future bookings with this property, and I suggest others look elsewhere if they expect the service they are paying for.
