This was our seventh annual women's ministry retreat, themed Unstoppable, and our stay at the Renaissance Hotel in Richardson, Texas was truly amazing, from the amenities right down to the people. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived, and we only had thirty minutes to shower and dress before jumping straight into retreat ministry service mode. That could have been stressful, but Jasmine at the front desk turned it into a blessing. She accommodated us with complimentary access to the restaurant and Starbucks, asked thoughtfully about what view we'd prefer, and showed incredible attention to detail. She is a wonderful ambassador for this hotel. In the restaurant and bar area, Christian was equally wonderful. She kindly helped me make hot tea for our speakers who kept losing their voices, always with genuine kindness and service with a smile. And Lawrence, who I met during the stay, was a man of real wisdom, clearly someone who has lived many seasons and many places, and who left a lasting impression with the knowledge he shared. We also want to recognize the event planners who coordinated so much alongside our ministry team, especially Lauren and another team member who joined in the evening. They were always ready to shift with us, ready to help, ready to serve, grabbing chairs and bringing us whatever we needed. Even when things needed to shift, which can cause stress, they handled it happily and with understanding. We also want to thank Martha 1 and Martha 2, who served our food with so much happiness and warmth. I wish the very best for Jasmine, Christian, Lawrence, Lauren, and Martha 1 and Martha 2 in whatever season they're in. Above all, thank you to Jesus, and to Danielle Godfrey for her vision and excellence in hosting us women on the front line global.
Wife and I had an awesome time. Nice location and the buffet was fantastic! The balcony was not what expected and was moved to another room without conflict. Jasmyn at the front desk was accommodating and friendly! Beautiful hotel and close to nice restaurants. We will come back whenever we are in town!
The hotel is in a convenient location and relatively safe. The rooms are clean and nice. There is a restaurant, bar and quick grab shop. The parking is absolutely horrible. There is a person who works the booth and the system is not great. Leaving a convention at 2:45 on a Sunday afternoon it took us more than 30 minutes to get out of the garage. The hotel and the parking garage should collaborate to improve efficiency. Will only valet here from now on.
This was a great hotel! I stayed in the executive suite and having the separate living room space made the place feel like home. The room itself was clean and bed was very comfortable. It came with a small fridge and microwave. It was dog friendly as well.🐾 Parking options are valet for $30/day or garage for $25/day. There are nice options in the area for bars and restaurants but not many that are walkable. I would definitely stay here again next time I’m in the area!
