Stayed the night for a little quick get away. We live 45 min away yet they made it feel like a tourist hotel which I loved. You know when you go to let's say San Antonio and stay at the Riverwalk and everybody treats you so well? That's how it felt here. Matter of fact we are planning a second getaway in a month or two due to the stellar stay we had. I should add that the attractions on their own are top notch.

Yes, he stayed there. Place is really cool. Specially if you have kids under the age of 17 two max any thing over I would not say this location is the best but for family time . Absolutely great the restaurant. There is also one of the easiest access and good quality good . Moody garden currently do not have any halal option. The pool is open tell 11 pm and kids love that . Outside of hotel there is plenty of food options super close to three the beach and moody theme park . Rooms are ok they are not super luxury but they have a nice clean accommodation. I would call it a three star rooms . Self Parking is free . And they have free game room like pool table fouse ball and many other games . Lobby is huge . You h can have a chill time in the lobby if multiple families are going to this location at the same time .
Wonderful experience at the hotel. The room was nice and clean upon arrival. We had one hiccup with the air but they were quick to fix it. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The reservation was made over the phone and the room was exactly as requested. The hotel pool was beautiful and very clean but it was closed one day for unknown reasons. The cafe restaurant was okay. We got the buffet twice which was mediocre and a little overpriced. We ordered on the menu twice and once it was over 30 minute wait for order. We loved the rainforest pyramid and the aquarium pyramid was our second favorite. The discovery pyramid was a waste of money, especially for kids over 5+ years of age. The Garden Restaurant was overpriced and the food was bad (no fish in tacos mostly pickled onion, burnt grilled cheese, fries tasted like fish, and the quesadillas had a weird sauce drowned in it). The waterpark left much to be desired as it really only has a lazy river and wave pool for older kids. There is one slide and a small toddler area.
We absolutely LOVED our stay at the Moody Gardens Hotel! The hotel was beautiful, spotless, and had so much to offer for families. From the AMAZING pool to the arcade and discounted access to the attractions, there was always something fun to do. While we were there, they even had a bounce house and family movie screenings by the pool, which made the experience even more special. The location was perfect for us since we were in town for my daughter's travel softball tournament—it was just a minute from the fields. It's also only a short drive to the Seawall, but far enough away to enjoy a quieter, more relaxing atmosphere. Our room was comfortable, modern, and had a Smart TV, which was a nice bonus. We also loved our view overlooking the pool and the iconic pyramids. Housekeeping did an outstanding job throughout our stay, and the entire staff made us feel welcome. We've officially decided that whenever we visit Galveston, the Moody Gardens Hotel will be the only place we'll stay!
For the past 10 years, my family and I have made our annual Juneteenth pilgrimage back to my birthplace, Galveston, Texas. This year, because of the weather and for the safety of my wife and children, we decided to stay at the Moody Gardens Hotel—and it was one of the best decisions we've ever made. From the moment we checked in, Manager Brady and Jennifer treated us like family. They went above and beyond by making sure our two rooms were together so our family could stay close. Brady also convinced me to upgrade to the Pyramid View, and I am so glad we did. Watching the Juneteenth fireworks from our room was an unforgettable experience. Our kids had an incredible time enjoying the Aquarium, the beautiful gardens, the zip line, and riding the golf carts all over the property. There was always something fun to do, and the entire resort felt safe, clean, and welcoming. As a Galveston historian, I truly believe Moody Gardens is one of the greatest family destinations in Texas. Every family should experience it at least once in their lifetime. This was my seventh visit, and it continues to exceed my expectations every time. Thank you to Brady, Jennifer, and the entire Moody Gardens team for making our Juneteenth celebration feel like coming home. We can't wait to return!
