Came with my daughter, son-in-law and 2 year old grandson. Had rooms 712 & 501. Was looking forward to a quiet night's sleep before heading back to Houston. Didn't happen!!! Music vibrated room 501. No noise cancelling drapes. Just impossible. Front desk should have said something when we checked in. I should have known there was a problem with sound insulation when I saw ear plugs on the nightstand. We were unable to sleep and left at 11:30. Front desk told me our rooms remain open until the morning and regardless of leaving at 11:30, we will be billed full price. Definitely made my daughter's birthday a memorable one.

I had such a great stay here and truly cannot say enough good things about the entire team! Everyone was so kind, helpful, and attentive throughout my stay and consistently went above and beyond. The rooms were always incredibly clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the location is amazing. You can walk to so many great restaurants, coffee shops, bars, and nightlife, which made it such an easy and fun place to stay. What really stood out to me was the service. Everyone I interacted with was genuinely warm and helpful, and they continued to take care of me even after I checked out! I accidentally left behind a bag, and the team helped locate it and get everything together so I could have it shipped back to me. I was SO appreciative! Such a great hotel, great location, and most importantly, an amazing team. They completely exceeded my expectations and made the entire experience feel effortless. I will absolutely stay here again and highly recommend the Kimpton Pittman!
Needed to break up a road trip so stopped in for a night. Was excited to explore Deep Ellum and have a comfortable place to stay. The room was fine. Loved the band on a Wednesday night - that was the best thing about the experience by a long shot. Otherwise the overall experience was meh at best, especially given the price point. I had paid with points and then what I’m guessing was the amenity charge was slapped on my credit card. No warning or explanation and why?!? Nothing to justify the fee. I wasn’t sure what it was about so I called their accounting department and emailed multiple times with nary a response. I ended up contesting it with my credit card company and that did the trick. May not have done that if they’d simply responded to explain the charge, but 🤷🏻♀️.
Our family of 5 loved our stay here! We travel a fair amount—staying in about 10 hotels a year. We all agreed this was a favorite spot and the staff really set it apart. We stayed 3 nights and interacted with different staff daily. They were always kind and helpful. With three energetic young boys, I know we aren’t the ideal guests, but the staff all went above and beyond to help us feel welcome and never a burden. Even through a wedding and large private event, we still felt like a priority. I was worried about noise being so close to Deep Ellum. Our suite (a great size for the 5 of us) was on the third floor and faced the pool. Thursday and Friday night were very quiet (even during Friday’s wedding). On Saturday night we could hear some noise from the street, but my kids slept through it. We appreciated the sound machine that night, but it was really not too bad— and I’m comparing this to home where we normally hear crickets at night. We will definitely be back!
Classy hotel, great extras and attentive staff. My first criteria for a hotel is whether it's clean, quiet, and has a comfortable bed. This exceeded all three with flying colors. There were so many little nice extras, like a yoga mat and bathrobes in the room. The fitness center was large and well appointed. Outside in the pool area. There were loungers, cabanas, ping, pong, cornhole, and a few other games. We did not take advantage of the evening fire pit. Pat, we did take advantage of the happy hour in the lobby. We also took advantage of the free bikes. They were in good shape and very fun to ride. The hotel was super convenient to the train and right at the edge of deep ellum where there is a ton of stuff to do in the evenings. Great food everywhere and lots of options to listen to live music or go to a bar. We especially liked Velvet tacos across the street and the van Leeuwen ice cream shop nearby. We had occasion to work with several agents at the front desk and everyone was friendly, helpful, and professional. I would definitely stay here again.
