To start, do not expect this hotel to be at the level of other Hyatt properties. The service simply does not match that standard. Shortly after checking in, we tried contacting Guest Services to ask whether towels were available at the pool but could not reach anyone. We went to the pool and found no towels. Despite being told several times that towels were coming, they never arrived. Thankfully, the bartender went out of her way to find a few small gym towels so we could at least dry off our daughter. I later sent Guest Services a polite message explaining what happened, and they never even responded or acknowledged it. The lack of towels was a minor issue; the lack of communication, responsiveness, and basic hospitality was the real disappointment. Definitely not the Hyatt experience we expected.

If you're visiting San Antonio to enjoy the River Walk and the surrounding festivities, I would highly recommend the Hyatt Regency as a place to stay. The staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful, answering our questions during check-in and throughout our stay. The restaurant offered a great breakfast selection with good food, and the market on the lobby level was convenient for grabbing a late-night bite. The hotel's easy access to the River Walk, along with the live entertainment right outside, made enjoying the nightlife incredibly convenient, especially while traveling with a 9-year-old. I would also recommend booking through Costco if you can, as they offer additional perks such as daily breakfast and a daily credit toward the restaurant and marketplace. I was initially concerned that the discounts wouldn't be reflected correctly at checkout, but after mentioning it to the front desk, they quickly took care of the remaining charges that weren't captured by the promotion. They made the entire process incredibly simple. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would absolutely stay here again. We're already looking forward to coming back!
Had a great 1 night experience at this hotel. Check-in was quick and easy, staff was very welcomjng and offered bottled water for everyone in our party upon arrival. Hotel itself is in a great location in downtown San Antonio. It was very easy to walk to the Majestic Theatre, which was why we chose this hotel. Upon returning from the show, staff greated us and again offered bottled water. Onsite bar was great for a late night cocktail as well The room was very good, enough space for our family of four. What was the best was the number of lights in the room, which is a weird thing to mention in a review. There are motion lights on the bottom of the beds so if you need to walk around at night, you don't need to worry about running into things! Check-out the next day was simple. There are plenty of bakeries within walking distance to grab a quick bit. Do be aware that parking uses dynamic pricing. Our 1-night valet parking was $70. Valet service was professional and prompt. Overall a great stay and would highly consider going back!
This location is not only gorgeous, but conveniently located right on the riverwalk. Check in was super easy. The staff at the front desk was very friendly, helpful and informative. They made sure we knew about any and all events going on and even made some recommendations on where we should go. The rooms were clean and tidy and the views from our room were amazing. 10/10 will definitely be staying here again when we come back to visit!
Located right on the Riverwalk. I was in for business and as a Globalist member I was upgraded to Atrium Suite. It’s a nice suite with a separate sleeping area. Everything was in good shape and included a nice mini fridge. The view is into the Atrium so it’s not much to see. The hotel itself is huge. Several dining options as well as a gift shop and candy store. It would be nice for kids. Easy access to walk out to Riverwalk and in the heart of the action if that’s what you want. Check in was a little slow. I ate at the buffet for breakfast which was above average and has an omelet station. The bar across from the lobby has a good selection of drinks. Food options a little limited and only a few standouts. Valet parking is crazy expensive. There is a self parking garage in the area that is a little cheaper. Overall it was a good stay and if you are there to enjoy the Riverwalk it hits the spot.
