Houston Cityplace Marriott At Springwoods Village

Perfect for our business trip! The shower is immaculate! High pressure, high quality shampoos. Breakfast was so good & fresh & even included Starbucks cappuccinos! The Burgers at the hotel restaurant were delicious! We got a room with a beautiful view! The pool is a huge must for us. We travel to Houston frequently for work & will definitely be staying here as our go-to! Clean, friendly staff, kid friendly. Beautiful park, walking trail & river right outside our window! We are silver elite & stay exclusively at Marriotts & this one just made our list & was surprisingly very affordable compared to many others such at Marquis. Bed comfort & AC are on point & we love the dim lighting in the room. Smart TV with all your streaming apps, complimentary water stations & coffee.Some constructive tips to add: a microwave would have been nice as well as a fan in the bathroom & more charging outlets specifically on both of the nightstands, not just one side. Very safe, family friendly location.

By far the worst hotel experience I have ever had. The hotel is nice and the rooms were clean. However, the staff working nights are extremely rude and liars. I checked in for a company event. The company booked the room and something happened with the reservation and the company card. An easy phone call on my part and it would have immediately been cleared up. I explained this to the lady and she said no problem. I called my company and had a guy in route to resolve the small issue. She explained we would get our room cards once he arrived and took care of it. While we were waiting, she advised me that she needed a card for parking and incidental. I asked if that was all I would be charged and she agreed. After swiping my card, she handed me my room cards. Being puzzled I told her that I was under the impression that we wouldn't get cards until my boss arrived. She explained that she had charged the full stay, parking, and incidental to the card. Of course I was not happy about this. Once my boss arrived, she then said that she told me what I would be charged. I called her out on it and she come back with a terrible defensive attitude. Upon checking out today, they explained I would be charged a wifi fee, although I literally never turned my wifi on. I was over it at this point. Just charge me so I can walk away and never return again. To be such a nice hotel, the night staff completely ruined the experience. I can promise me nor any of my family will ever darken the door again. I must add the the staff working days were extremely nice. So, maybe I just checked in and out at the wrong times.. On a side note, during the whole mess with my check in, there was another guest complaining about his room being unclean and nasty upon check in. He asked at least 10 times to speak with a manager and the lady absolutely refused. He told her to lose her attitude and get a manager. She just kept arguing with him and telling him that he couldn't just demand to speak with a manager..

Upscale Marriott with large rooms offering views of the water nearby. While the rooms are nice, the conditions of the fixtures was inconsistent - there were some furniture pieces with holes / burn marks or heavy use indications. The hotel isn’t due for a full refresh but some pieces of furniture could use some TLC. Staff are very nice here. Location is nice by the artificial lake but there’s not much around.

Stayed here for a business trip and had a great experience. The shuttle service around the immediate area was very convenient, and the staff were consistently friendly and helpful. The standout feature for me was the ability to rent a complete workstation setup through OutPost, including two monitors, a docking station, keyboard, and mouse. Just ask at the front desk for details. Having a proper workspace in my room made working in the evenings much easier and far more productive. I'd definitely stay here again for business travel.
