Drove in from Austin and used valet frequently. Wanted to say that Modesto was on TOP OF IT. Even when waiting in the lobby for the rest of my party, he came in and asked if he could get my car. Very professional, polite and attentive. Made getting around quick and easy, and not waiting like another hotels for my car. Rooms were good, service was good and all around pleasant experience. Gave rooms 4 star cause no makeup mirror and I forgot mine!!!
Staff was professional. Location was good. Nice lobby. But the overall vibe felt more like Holiday Inn than Hilton. Thedescription of breakfast sounded more like an ordinary continental offering, so the $31 price seemed more opportunistic than quality or value.
I work for a Houston based company and visit quarterly. I stay at Hilton Post Oak every time because I love the service. The hotel is a little dated but clean and wonderful. By dated I only mean that the furniture is dark and the lighting in rooms could be brighter and perhaps a smart tv in the rooms but aside from that I love staying here and none of that stops me from booking everytime. Brittany Bar has a great selection of food and drinks, the breakfast is unmatched and the service is amazing all around! Ruben was our waiter this evening and was excellent as is every single person I’ve ever encountered while staying here!
Some rooms are nice and large and can accommodate a crib and pack and play. But the beds are terrible - both rooms (we had to switch due to an AC issue) had beds that will make your back cry. Fixtures were not fixed, hung my towel on the designated towel hook and part of the fixture ripped away from the door. Water pressure in showers is poor. needs an update. Check in was seamless and the staff are very helpful and provide knowledgeable and fast service.
The hotel is perfectly fine, nothing fancy or noteworthy. We got the 2 queen beds room, and is was huge. The washroom was huge as well with a separate sink are which was nice. All the basic amenities like coffee machine, pressing iron, fridge etc were there. The room was clean, and they were happy to provide us with additional towels. We talk late checkout as well which is always great. A few negatives though: - The bathtub’s drain was totally blocked - When we requested for water at the reception, we were very rudely told that we could use the vending machine l. - On the next day when we requested water over the phone, we were told it’s on the way but never turned up
