I was excited about being welcomed with a cookie no cookie false advertising 🙃 the shuttle to pick us up at the airport took so long like we waited 50 minutes then had to get an Uber. No one ever called us to see if we were still waiting. Other than that. The room was clean the bed was comfortable even the pillows and the coffee In the room was good. I would come back again. It was a nice stay and close to tge airport.

Manage expectations for this hotel. It is obviously very well located if you are traveling in and out of DFW and need somewhere convenient. It is clean, and has a shuttle to the airport. However, it is extremely spartan for a Doubletree, nothing in the way of decor or atmosphere. I use the phrase "prison like" because of the way the hallways and rooms are set up for maximum occupancy. The lobby is the same, with a $15 dollar breakfast that is worth about $9 (conveniently exactly what the gold/diamond member perk is worth). They have a vending machine in the lobby for stuff like toothpaste, brushes, and hygiene supplies, which I imagine is so they can stop giving them out from the front desk (although to their credit they did supply me with two free travel toothbrushes, I am just skeptical of all things vending-machine). The Air conditioning had gone out the day we visited so it was really humid and warm throughout. It was fixed that night, but it took time to cool off. This is definitely a business traveler hotel, not so much for a luxury trip or stay-cation. Pros: -Convenient location -Shuttle service -The Doubletree Cookie -Kept clean and quiet Cons: -Prison/barracks vibe -Very limited food options inside or close by
I should have read the reviews before booking this hotel and bringing a couple co-workers. I went to check in, the front desk was pleasant. She switched my room to a 1st floor room, per my request. Its been hot do I figured the first floor would be the better than a second floor room. Room 142, temp 73. While it felt better than outside there was no way I can sleep in 73 degrees. I set it to 65 and sit there for 5-10 minutes. Temp 73. I bring my bags back to the front desk and tell her the air isn't working good enough for me to be able to sleep and asked for another room. She mentioned there were no more king rooms, not even the one I originally had, 10 minutes ago. She said she only has doubles, but she would call engineering about the AC and also bring a box fan. I asked her to hold a double room incase it doesn't help and I brought my bags back to the room. I went to the restaurant, meeting up with my co-workers. About 30-40 minutes later, I ran back to the room (the waitress still hadn't come to get a drink order). The room had a bix fan and was 73 degrees. I grabbed my bags and went back to the lobby. Switched to room 112, a double where the are was for sure working. Walked in and the smell of mildew was kind of overwhelming, but it it can get tp 66-67, I'll sleep through it. Turned the air down, from 72 and it was dropping within a few minutes. Went back to the restaurant and drinks were waiting for me, she came around while I was gone and my coworkers ordered for me. It took about another hour before she would be back to order food. The next mourning the smell made sense as I saw mold in the bathroom behind the toliet. First and last time here. This isn't a typical Double Tree
Great to have a place to sleep and get ready but that’s about it. HVAC blows straight onto the bed so be ready for AC blasts in the middle of the night. Cleaning service came but didn’t do much considering I found things I tossed away in the bathroom near my bed when I returned. They clearly came in but didn’t make the bed, refresh towels or remove any trash. The mini fridge has a broken hinge so when you open it, the door falls towards you and doesn’t shut properly. Front desk was busy when I checked in and didn’t give me any info on breakfast, the bar, pool or anything else about the property. As a Hilton, they clearly expect the name to carry the reputation for the consumer. Missing amenities like cups and coffee packets in the room for coffee/hot water. Wouldn’t be a problem if the cafe in the lobby they advertised was open and functional. 1 of 2 elevators is out of service and the working one has scratches, dim lightning and outdated buttons and operating systems. Layout is weird as well but that wouldn’t even be mentioned if not for the rest above. I travel to Dallas for work about once a month but will be avoiding this place moving forward. No customer care or attention to detail here.
I’m a solo female in transit overnight. Fast and efficient check in and the room was nicer than I expected. I would say I could hear through the walls more than I thought I would be able to but there wasn’t any noise to report. The restaurant was decent and I had a lovely man who seemed to be server/manager and front of house since it was 4th of July. He was very sweet. Very comfortable stay overall.
