Sadly, we were very disappointed when we stayed here a few months ago for our anniversary weekend. The pictures on the website and here in Google Maps are no longer accurate. I imagine it was like this a couple of years ago, but the place is pretty run down, and the dining room no longer has nice tables and chairs, but rather cheap and gaudy furniture. They had plastic flowers at the entrance. The rooms are still nice, but the overall place is not what you would expect by looking at the website or these pictures here. Additionally, we stayed from Thursday to Sunday, but didn’t get breakfast one day. We told the hostess we were leaving early, and she went on to suggest breakfast places in town we could go to versus offering to make us an early breakfast. It was rather strange. They had self serve coffee and tea in the dining area, and that was it. Otherwise, the room was nice and very comfortable, and we enjoyed being able to walk to the historic district. But it was not at all what we expected for the money we paid. We thought we were treating ourselves to something really special!!

My husband and I got married at the mansion just a few months ago. Us and our wedding party also stayed at the mansion. Everything was perfect. From the staff, to the venue, to the wedding...I can't express enough how fantastic our experience was. We had everything we needed, enjoyed every single second and would absolutely go back for an overnight stay or for other events. Joellyn was our main contact and she worked with our planner, caterer and other vendors smoothly. I can't thank her enough for allowing us to rent the home and have the wedding of our dreams. We can't wait to come back and celebrate our anniversary.

Wonderful place to stay at. Very close to the strand, seawall, and plenty of historical sites in Galveston. The mansion itself is gorgeous and the rooms are amazing and well maintained. Our hostess went above and beyond. Would definitly stay here again and would reccomend for anyone looking for something different than a hotel room
