Ariel was a very friendly and knowledgeable tour guide. We covered parts of Jerusalem that we would not have been able to easily see without him. The timing was exactly as advertised - we left Tel Aviv at 9:00 a.m. and returned just before 4:30 p.m. This was a wonderful experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to see a lot of Jerusalem in a shorter window of time.

Very informative and enjoyable tour! Ariel was great, knew so many intricate details, and brought the right amount of knowledge and humor to the entire experience.
I had an amazing experience exploring Jerusalem's Christian holy sites on a walking guided tour with Yoni. Visiting places such as the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, walking the Via Dolorosa, and learning about the city's deep religious history made the tour truly unforgettable. Yoni's knowledge, enthusiasm, and ability to explain the historical and spiritual significance of each site brought everything to life. He was friendly, engaging, and happy to answer questions throughout the tour. I highly recommend this walking tour to anyone looking for a meaningful and insightful visit to Jerusalem's Christian holy sites.
Jerusalem day tour was just fantastic. Ride was convinient. You get to see the main holy sights, and some free time along the tour. Important to mention that the tour guide gentelman was terrific, mr. Shakar! He was able to answer each question, with passion, love, always willing to help. He knows his subject perfectly. Very well organized, just the right amount of time for a tour in my opinion. The guide speaks arabic fluently, which was beautiful to see his interactions with the locals in the Old City. If you are lucky if this gentelman taking you to the Old City! Would definitely reccomend Abraham Tours to all my friends back home. Toda Amanuel from Ethiopia
We had a great tour in Jerusalem’s old city today. Shahar shared with us many historical facts and showed us so many details that we wouldn’t have noticed if we walked by ourselves. We couldn’t go to the dome of the rock as it was Friday but we did get a nice view of it from the rooftops. The pace was appropriate and there was enough time to take in the sights. Highly recommended!
Avner, our guide, was excellent! His knowledge of the history of the city and the people who live, and have lived here, really built a story around each site we visited. He brought a context to our visit and made the area come alive.
Very long but very informative! I learned so much! Definitely do not recommend for children. My kids were troopers but it was too much.
The whole experience will be unforgettable and Shahar our tour guide was the best. Very informative and really took care of us. Had the best time with my family and will definitely come back in the future!
Our tourguide Tal gave us a comprehensive overview about Old Jerusalem incl. the Wailing Wall and Temple Mount. We benefited a lot from her insights about these holy places. Seeing and experiencing so much history and religious influence, is something I can highly recommend. Abraham tours and Tal organized a great tour. Thanks!
What an awesome trip!! We met at the Abraham Hostel, waited about 15 minutes before boarding the bus and then headed out. Once we got close to Jerusalem, our fantastic guide, Shockel? (I know I spelled that wrong but that is it phonetically)- started telling us all about everything! He was THE BEST GUIIDE EVER!! Literally, he had such a wide area of knowledge, he was fair and level in his history, he knew SO much- it is a long day, lots of walking, but plenty of resting/free time. Wear a hat if it's hot and I suggest a skirt or long shorts that cover the knee or else you have to wear odd skirts at the various holy places. The day was 8-7, so definitely a full day, but one of the best days we spend as far as learning about Jerusalem and seeing the entire city in one fell swoop. I definitely recommend this tour and I really hope you get Shockel, he is a gem!
Tour was great! Josh did a fantasic job of leading a group tour in Jerusalem. He took an unbiased approach in explaining the history of Jerusalem in the Muslim, Jewish, and Christian areas. Very laid back tour with stops at local markets in between checking out the religious sites. A great value!
Amazing walk through the Dome of the Rock. Great job for Sivan to time it so we had enough time to be at the Dome of the Rock.
Our tourist guide Amir was real knowledgeable and managed to explain over 2000 years of history from the eyes of 3 different religions. Quite a challenging task!
The tour was great! It was very well organised, we saw all the landmarks and learnt a lot! Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and nice, he really made our tour one to remember!
Very detailed guidance about the history of the city, a perfect view as historians would do. The guide is deeply local so can speak even from personal eyes and see the city's history in a couple of years' time (and not only from history books). Will show and take you to all places that are essential to see. I would recommend for people in good physical condition, quite quick paced and need to take quite big effort to keep pace with it.
Incredible Jerusalem tour! A comprehensive and fun tour of the Old City that touched on recent and biblical history in addition to local culture, and provided spectacular views, with a culminating stop at Mechane Yehuda for late lunch. Seamless pick-up from and drop-off to Abraham Hostel in Tel Aviv. Definitely a highlight of our Israel trip!
Our tour through the old city of Jerusalem with Hagar was amazing. She was passionate, engaging, and most of all knowledgeable. Her insight as a resident of Jerusalem combined well with her obvious interest in history, and made this an unforgettable experience.
The Day Tour of Jerusalem, from Tel Aviv was very good, overall. I separate my overall rating of the tour into 2 parts, the logistics of getting there/getting around Jerusalem and then getting back to Tel Aviv and then the rating of my tour Guide in Jerusalem - Alex. The logistics in getting there and getting back were very smooth. Transportation ran on time and did what it was supposed to. My one complaint is concerned with getting around the old city. My wife and I are older (near 70) and the walking, and in particular the number of steps to go up and down, was way more than we were led to believe. During the tour we walked about 6 kms and went up 9 floors of steps (per my Apple phone). Being in an old city that is understandable, my complaint is that we were not told that this would be the case when we specifically asked the Abraham Tour sales staff before we booked. Finally, with respect to our guide Alex - he was Excellent!! He gave us lots of information/knowledge but not too much. He shared his general knowledge with us but also shared some personal stories as well which made it more meaningful to all of our group. I would highly recommend using Alex to future travelers.
I truly appreciated Abraham Tours and the full day tour of Jerusalem. We had Alex as a tour guide. Akex managed our group with skill and grace through some busy and hectic circumstances during the Jewish holiday of Sukkot. Alex educated and entertained us with great story telling, his in depth knowledge, well placed humor and even a bit of theatre to keep the entire tour of Jerusalem engaging and fun. Thank you to Abraham Tours and Alex!
Amit was a very well versed guide that provided so much detail and history during our tour. A fun group of people joined our group and an awesome day ensued. Highly recommend.
The tour to Jerusalem was awesome. Our guide, Nicola was incredibly knowledgeable and positive. She made the tour fun, enjoyable, and interesting by sharing her deep understanding and appreciation of history and cultures, her great sense of humor, and her sensitive and wise insight into the complexities, ironies, and mysteries of the people, cultures, and religions in Jerusalem, Israel, and the surrounding areas. I would go on a tour with her again in a heartbeat.
Touring Jerusalem with Nicola was an amazing experience. From the conversations on the hour-long bus ride to visiting the old city made for a day in Israel that I will always remember.
Friends ! I decided to brush up a few details about Jerusalem and joined the day tour guided by Alex. What a guide!!!!!! The guy is unbelievable... well worth it! He’s fun , he’s thorough, extremely articulate and sensitive to the group’s needs. What an asset of a tour guide! I coined a new adjective: ALEXcellent! For our Arab speakers: AL- EXcellent.😁 Congratulations Mr. Zaprudsky. Riding back to TLV with the group , they were also very well impressed with your guiding... Highly recommend Abraham Tours! The tour was well organized with the transportation from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem and with the return, as well as all of the tour stops were well planned and interesting. We had a great Tour Guide called Liran; you will be lucky if you get him for your tour. Always keeps it interesting and knows so much about the history and current story of Jerusalem, plus has the pride and enthusiasm of a Local. Thank you!
A small group of us toured Jerusalem with Abraham Tours and we loved it! The pickup from Tel Aviv was on-time and hassle-free. The tour bus was comfortable. Liran, our wonderful tour guide, was waiting for us when we arrived in Jerusalem. Fridays get crazy busy within the walls of the Old City, with about 20k locals converging at Al-Haram Al-Sharif mosque for the noon prayers, while the Jewish quarter prepares for Shabbat! Liran expertly chaperoned 14 of us thru the alleyways, ducking in to shortcuts, avoiding crowds, navigating long lines. Since we were on foot, he gave us plenty of short breaks either to relax or explore the food & shopping in the markets. We would definitely go tour with Liran and Abraham Tours again. Highly recommended!
The group was too big and too mixed in the morning (people continuing to Bethlehem/dead sea afterwards etc) Time loss due to group size. Obligatory stop at a souvenir store and mandatory lunch break at shawarma/falafel place. Not enough hystorical information e.g. We raced through the ‘via dolorosa’which holds an unfathomable historical importance. Disappointing tour through new jerusalem (afternoon), only visiting the Yehuda market. It would have been more interesting to visit the holocaust museum instead or see the mount of olives up close. Lastly the tour was supposed to last until 16:30, we already ended at 14:30 ....
This was my second tour, the first being in Tel Aviv, and was extremely satisfied with both the quality and organization. Alex, provided a perfect balance of information between historical detail and general descriptions. I found his speaking easy to understand and could, in my own way, piece together the bits of detail and enjoy a tour which is an excellent base from which to learn about Jerusalem. I highly recommend this tour and feel fortunate to have had Alex as my introductory guide.
Just came from the day tour from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem and it was a must do! I’m not staying at the hostel - so wasn’t sure what to expect - but the tour really exceeded my expectations! Our guide, Yariv Sharon was the perfect mix of educational, interesting, friendly and quick witted during our tour. He read the group really well knowing when to slow down and when to move things along. We hit the major points in jerusalem and had enough time to ourselves to reflect and observe the sights on our own. Our group was made up of different nationalities and religions - and everyone got something out of it under Yariv’s guidance. I’d recommend this tour and ask for Yariv!
This was my third trip to Jerusalem and I wasn’t sure if I wanted to do another tour. So glad I did ! Yariv Sharon was an excellent guide and knew so much of about the old city. This is really a city where you need to do a tour. There is too much history and significance that you can easily miss and walk pass. Yariv took us to a small room where there was part of the original wood of the crucifix on which Jesus died. Most other people going to the church missed this completely. Four hours was a perfect amount of time to see the old city !
We took the tour to Jerusalem from Tel Aviv. Slightly daunted by the early start, we chose to just do Jerusalem and skip the Dead Sea option. The English-speaking guide was very knowledgeable and gave us all the relevant information without becoming too bogged down. The air conditioned bus only seats 18 people so the group is not too big. That makes the experience more personal. Happy with everything on the tour, the price is good and you get a discount if you’re staying in the hostel so that’s a bonus.
Took part in my 2nd tour with Abraham Tours. The first one being to Petra which was amazing. So decided to book day trip to Jerusalem jerusalem is a beautiful city! Defo recommend it. However, our guide was not great at all - he is not friendly, not funny, he doesnt tell the story well at all (very robotic) and his info was even challenged by other participants who were sometimes more knowledgeable than him on specific religious facts. I wouldnt take part in a tour with him! He was making sure everyone was there at all times. Jerusalem is amazing :)
Our tour guide Chris shared a lot of great insights into the "why" things are the way they are in Jerusalem, and a lot about the history. We were very pleased with what we got from the tour! The organization was great: We left in time, arrived in time, never had to wait longer than a few minutes for anything. Could not be better.
We were five of us with a Jerusalem-born tour guide. It has been an amazing day through Jerusalem's old and new town. There are so many highlights in the old town, would I have gone on my own I would have missed a lot and lost myself more than once in this labyrinth. Our guide made us see the best part of every quarter, plus the market, etc. with all needed explanations. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. And no worries, no need to be a holy person to enjoy that amazing multicultural place.
Smaller group the day I went which meant we visited some sights that are not regularly included in the tour. Great guide, very knowledgeable and open to discussing many issues. Two pick-up spots in the morning and return is at the hostel in the evening. Highly recommend this tour!
We took the 4-hour Holy City walking tour. The cost was about $32 USD. Our tour guide was Gary. He did an excellent job explaining the history and pointing out how well everyone gets along in Jerusalem. We highly recommend this tour and Gary!
The pick-up in Tel Aviv was on the minute. Good air-conditioned bus and guide already on the bus. shearing information during the ride. In Jerusalem buityfull tour with lots of information. Day ended with a tour to market for lunch followed by a smooth ride back to Tel Aviv. Great price quality. Thank you Abraham tours.
Top tour with a small group of 11 persons. We always felt save and well guided. 5 out of 5 points!!!
Leah was a fantastic tour guide and I highly recommend this trip for younger travelers interested in learning more about Israel and Jerusalem from a modern and historical POV. The itinerary was well-planned and there was time to eat and shop between landmarks despite crowds who were visiting over Passover weekend. I especially appreciated Leah creating context for the tour with an overview of Israel's history and the geopolitical climate that surrounds the region today. If you're staying for a total of less than 3 days in Israel then I'd highly recommend this tour to cover 80% of Jerusalem (there's always more to see!). There were definitely nuances and places I would've missed if I went alone without Leah's help. 100% worth the price (which isn't high) Not great for: those looking for a religious experience or those looking to specifically visit any one landmark for an extended period of time
we enjoyed the whole visit: transportation to Jerusalem , very interesting guide Amir , simple and attentive to us ... well organized ... not too tiring ... well balanced also ... really well considering the complexity of the site ..
