I'd taken a couple other tours that weren't very good, and I was nervous to try another...but I'm glad I did. This tour was just what I was looking for in terms of a comfortable shuttle bus ride to locations I couldn't find on my own, and then the freedom at each site to do what I wanted.

I had a wonderful experience; Ariel was an amazing guide, incredibly knowledgeable and interesting, and I met a lot of great people. Beautiful!
The guide was excellent and the views were breathtaking. I took many photos! The transitions between excursions was just right!
This was a great trip even though it started out rainy. The operator was friendly open and candid. Because of the rain he shortened our trip to Ein Gedi, giving us enough time to see the waterfall but not slip or fall exploring further. Instead he took us to the site of an ancient synagogue, where we saw marvelous mosaics and a view of Masada from its base, and a date farm. He also showed us how the dead sea is evaporating and as its shores recide there are sink holes and destruction.
We did this tour from Jerusalem. It was great. Guide was excellent. Spent plenty of time at Masada. Ein Gedi had paths closed due to rock falls, but our tickets were discounted and we were able to go to the waterfall. Abrahams supplied towels for us at the Dead Sea and we had plenty of time to float and enjoy the mud.
Dropped off in Jerusalem outside the Abraham Hostel and had to wait in the cold and rain over an hour for a bus back to Tel Aviv. Really poor.
The best tour ever made, thanks to our professional driver Anan. The places are wonderful, I highly suggest to visit them especially Masada Fortress. Anan did his best to make our experience more enjoyable. He explained a lot of things, even the tour description said that we couldn't expect a guide. Thanks Anan and thanks Abrahams Tour!
Great tour, everything was perfect and on time. It was a great surprise because the tour on the 27.10.22 with Jonathan was completely guided by him! It was amazing, he guided us so good and told us a lot of interesting historical and cultural facts. I hope that in the future this tour will be always guided, it adds a lot to the experience especially in Masada and in En Gedi !
The main reason we took this tour and woke up at 1:30 am to do so, was so we could climb Masada before it got light and to see the sunrise from the top of the mountain. Unfortunately though, when we finally arrived at Masada (in the dark) we were made to wait in line for over an hour while ONE PERSON worked the ticket booth and sold tickets (one by one) to the hundreds of people wanting to hike the path up the mountain. As we waited in the line, we watched the sunrise and ended up having to climb the mountain as the sun rose. In the ever rising heat. Given my husband and I are in our 50's, we made it up in 50 minutes, spent 10 minutes taking pictures with our adult kids who made it up faster, and then had to race back down so as not to miss the bus as the tour guide said the bus would leave if people were not back. Climbing down is no easy thing either and I actually fell because I was rushing so much. I was fine but honestly have zero understanding why I paid for a tour that I still ended up having to wait in line for tickets for. Basically this "tour" for all the locations it goes to (Ein Gedi and Dead Sea also) is really just a bus ride. There is zero value otherwise other than a nice cool bus and the convenience of it going to all three places.
Great tour for travellers who want to feel independet. There is a guide in the bus, who tells you all important info. But you are on your own when roaming each of the sites. Your pace, your way. However our guide Kfir was also very helpful and offered extra background for anybody curious. Highly recommended as you can see so much in one day and still don't feel like herd of sheep like with other tour operators.
Great day out. The tour was really well organised and we were well taken care of. I would highflying recommend this tour provider.
The trip is amazing ! The ugode WHO drive us in comfortable mini bus is funny, very interesting and a nice person ! The time what he gave us was pretty enough ,we saw everything and it was stunning ! If you want to go, I recommend this for 100%
I've booked the tour the night before. The next day everything was very uncomplicated. The guide was humorous and took good care of us. The tour bus was super comfortable and you could even borrow charging cables with which you could charge your mobilephone on the bus. We had a lot of freedom and could decide for ourselves what we wanted to see at the different stations. Only the times when we should be back at the bus were fixed beforehand. But there was definitely enough time for each station :-) I would do it again and again. It was a great experience!
We had a wonderfull day. We had enough time to visit Massada, ein Gedi and thé Dead sea. The chauffeur was a friendly man. Would surely recommand this tour.
However it's a self guided tour, the driver/host told many things along the way about the places we visit. Just a great tour with a small groep of 18 persons.
Our experience with Abraham Tours has been very pleasant. The route was very well planned and timely developed. Our driver provided us with the needed information before arriving to the main points of the Tour and looked forward that the timing was appropriate for us to visit with some time left. All in all an excellent experience that we pretty much enjoyed and that we will encourage other friends to take into account.
Shared an incredible visit with grandchildren. Best preparation was collapsible canes which fitted into the backpack and enabled me to survive walking around the incredible site with its uneven surface. All worthwhile as views stunning and archeology absolutely fascinating. Winter ideal travel time with minimal crowds and cooler temperatures. Appreciated cable ride but kids walked the trail.
We felt very unsafe on this tour due to the dangerous driving experienced. The driver was going over 160 km/hr, dodging in and out of traffic, and at many times I thought I was going to fall out of my seat. I have already reached out to management to tell them about this but I am writing this review to warn other people of what they may be in for if they choose to do this tour. If you are a nervous driver or elderly person I definitely recommend that you choose another tour company.
I did appreciate my tour with Abraham team. We left the hostel at 6:30am which is good because by 8:30am we arrived at Masada (it helps to avoid the heat and the crowds). We had 2 hours to visit the site. After it, we left to Ein Gedi and we hade 1.5 hours to visit it, which was enough time to take the trail to get to biggest waterfall. This was the time when the group enjoyed to eat the lunch we had brought. The last stop is at Dead Sea, where we had 1.5 hour to swim and enjoy the place. In short, this tour gave us the chance to enjoy three different sites. If you are looking for a complete Dead Sea experience, this is not the best option, make sure you will find a tour that will take you there for more time and, if possible, to the southern part of the Sea, where the water is clearer.
Overall, the logistics were well organized; van seats are comfortable but thin (no extra body room if you need it, just an FYI to those who may be concerned about that); way there, got to stop at a 711-type store and saw four camels chillin’ and can buy a proper sun hat with neck coverage there for $20 USD; got to see countryside of Israel on drive and parts of Jerusalem when coming from Tel Aviv; good AC on van; the time at each site—roughly an hour and a half—was sufficient; if you plan to eat at Masada’s cafeteria, make sure to set that time aside; Masada’s museum is worth it, so give yourself 20 or more minutes to see the artifacts; bring a generous amount water for the trip but you can also refill bottle at Masada or buy some more; wear shoes with good traction for both Ein Gedi and Masada. Overall, I recommend this trip. The Dead Sea was my least favorite stop. The water was hot and felt thick and really salty. I’m usually up for new experiences and I’m glad I did it, but I liked Ein Gedi and Masada much better; don’t chance things by shaving below your face less than two-three days before your trip to Dead Sea; my elbow and back burned, indicating that I had some cuts that I wasn’t aware of which was funny since I don’t shave there; it’s best to do activities that require long walks—those that may cause blisters—for AFTER the trip, as Dead Sea salt will burn wounds and you need your strength for walking up hills especially at Masada, not fatigued muscles; our driver was really nice but took the turns and curves in the road pretty hard which I’m not sure if that’s the driver or the way people drive in general. What could have been better communicated by Abraham Tours: Our ticket said under “Things to bring” to bring “water and lunch.” So, we bought some non-perishable food to bring on the trip, not knowing you could buy lunch at all three sites. Instead of saying to bring lunch, they should say to bring cash or credit card for lunch which can be purchased at one of three sites. Also, it would be helpful to mention that each site’s entrance fee can be paid via credit card; you don’t have to use cash.
We took this tour so that we could easily visit Masada and the Dead Sea. It probably works out to be a little more expensive that trying to do it all yourself, but for the convenience I would recommend it. Abraham Tours are very pleasant to communicate with. Tour started punctually. We would have liked more time (perhaps 1/2hr more at each) at Masada and Ein Gedi, but appreciate that the time allocated by Abraham Tours is probably a good estimation of the time before an average traveller would get bored. The group is <20ppl (limited by bus size). Prices may increase as spots fill up, so consider booking early. The bus was comfortable. Toilets at Masada are fine. Toilets at Ein Gedi average. I didn't use the Dead Sea change rooms or loos so can't comment. There are lockers at the Dead Sea outside the change rooms where you can store your stuff if necessary, 15 NIL per locker (I didn't see a change machine). We took our bag down to the seaside with us. We started at 7:15am and returned about 4:15pm. Thanks Abraham Tours, we hope to return and visit the West Bank with you.
The day before ANOTHER tour company had let us down, We were desperate to do this tour so headed straight to Abraham Tours, We were lucky and took the last 2 places n the Masada trip for the following day. We had a brilliant trip trip with enough time spent at all places to enjoy and have a drink before time to leave. We should of used this company first!! Highly recommend using Abraham Tours.
I prefer self-guided tours which allow me to wander at my own pace and rest when I choose, so the Abraham Tours are great for this. They provide an app with detailed information, so you can either read up in advance, or read as you go. This tours leaves from Tel Aviv and stops first at Ein Gedi (to avoid the school groups), a remarkable and lovely oasis full of birdsong; you can either go on the hike, or rest and just enjoy the scenery, as I did. Masada was the highlight of the day for me. Riding up (and back down) in the cable car, and then having time to wander the ruins of this spectacular location was very special. Those interested in history may want to get on line to learn more, beyond what we are told here. Some people may wish to spend more time here, but if you are a bit short on time, then it is adequate, and combining all three places in a one-day trip is a good idea and perfectly manageable. At the Dead Sea you are also free to either enter the water or not; there are changing & showering facilities available. Our driver also stopped along the way to point out the sad reality of the shrinking Dead Sea and the problem of sinkholes. Altogether this was an excellent trip and I recommend it.
Comfortable way to visit beautiful and interesting places near Jerusalem. Very nice service. When we'll be back to Jerusalem we'll definitely go on another trip with Abraham Tours!
I received an email the day before telling me that this tour was cancelled.I still did not have a confirmation of my refund and that night I received a confirmation that the tour was taking place.I had already arranged with another provider.Ve is really unprofessional
Great price, right times considering the heat. Friendly driver and ready to provide information and directions. Complete download guide.
