Hamad was really great. He gave us perfect instructions on how to get off the ship and avoid the hustlers and Met our taxi immediately. He explained the culture and a bit of the history of Morocco as he arranged for us to have a lovely light breakfast. We took a long stroll through the bazaars downtown Tanger, where we tried a couple of delicacies from one of the l stalls. Afterwards, we went through several of the large shops where I did their best to sell us a rug to ship home – unsuccessfully (because we have just bought a rug in Turkey recently). Another quick stop in the apothecary with an explanation of some of the herbal treatments, which we did by a few of, then ultimately a very nice traditional Moroccan lunch. Due to age and health, we moved rather slowly and Hamad accommodated us beautifully and protectively as we moved through the rather crowded and cramped streets. He was gracious the entire time, stopping several times to take photos for us show us a clean restroom, etc. Could not recommend him more highly! This is a reasonably demanding tour as it is about 5 miles going up and down hills on uneven pavement so that should be taken into account. We managed though and are very happy that we did!

Abdel was our food tour guide, and simply said, he was wonderful. He gave us an excellent tour of various spots in both the upper area and the inner city of Tangier. He gave an excellent and wide variety of food tastings throughout the city. We would recommend them to anyone.
Great tour! Hamid took us to all of the local markets, restaurants, and shops. We were able to see so much of tangier and it’s food culture with his help. Highly recommend!!
We enjoyed the walk through the market which only happens twice weekly on Thursday and Sunday. Not to miss!
We saw so many amazing things and had wonderfully delicious experiences with our guide. He was an expert in all things about his home city Tangier. We did so much more than we thought we would do and felt like we had a very unique experience. We highly recommend this tour for those who want an authentic and personal experience.
Great way to see Tangier for 6 hours. Covers a lot in a good amount of time. You will enjoy the experience
Hamid is a wonderful guide. We were able to easily book for two the day before we arrive at port in Tangier. He called me right after we booked the tour to advise us of where to find him. We added on the driving tour and very glad we did. The walking tour starts at the Casbah and is downhill from there. He picked a great resteraunt along the way. He has 25 years as a guide. We learned so much about the history of Morocco.
So glad we began our week by taking a walking tour of the Medina and Kasbah with Hamid. A great way to get your bearings in this fascinating city! Hamid has a wealth of knowledge about Tangier's history, it's inhabitants, buildings, culture, politics and everything else in between. The tour was well paced (lots of steps!); Hamid was friendly and considerate, picking us up from our accommodation in the Medina, looking out for our safety, answering our myriad questions with good grace. We felt truly welcomed to Tangier - thank you !
We had an excellent time with Hamid. He met us at our hotel and was very knowledgeable about Tangier, the history, and the people. It was like walking around with the mayor- everywhere we went, he was greeted with smiles and handshakes. He took us along the Barber market and talked to us about their culture. When we asked, he took us to two nice shops for souvenirs that had very good quality products and made sure that no one pressured us to buy anything. He was the perfect guide.
Our day in Tangier was amazing! We were met at the ferry by our wonderful guide Hamid, and we had a very rich, informative experience. Hamid, our driver and all of those serving us throughout the day from the the wait staff at restaurants to the camel guides could not have been more accommodating. Hamid answered all of our questions and provided us with the best places to eat and shop. Although the day passed too quickly, we were able to experience Tangier from the amazing perspective of our knowledge guide.
Yesterday we visited Tangier from Tarifa for the day. We normally like to explore a city by ourselves but decided, as it was just for the day, we would use a guide. We were delighted we had booked Hamid. Everything was arranged for our comfort and to help us make the most of our day. He had checked with us beforehand what we were interested in and provided interesting insights into the history, politics, culture and everyday life of Tangier and Morocco. He introduced us to all the main sites both outside the city at the coast and then within the city itself. We learned so much and really got a feel for a very interesting city and proud people. Hamid was very knowledgeable, kind and friendly, answering our many questions. We are already planning a return visit to spend more time exploring Tangier and other parts of Morocco with Hamid.
We booked a 4hrs walking tour through our hotel, we were lucky to have Hamid as a guide. He is a kind, knowledgable man who is as comfortable in French, Spanish, English and Arabic. We walked by ourselves in the Medina the day prior to the walk, but it took another dimension, when Hamid explained to us the history of this fascinating city. He can talk about the culture, architecture and the history of the city (from the Roman era to the shooting location of the last James Bond). He knows his way around town and can open door usually closed. He didn't take us shopping (we didn't want and he didn't offer) but Hamid is full of useful tips. I totally recommend, thanks Hamid.
Last minute change of plans, with an extra day in Tangier, and we were lucky to have Abdul available. He met us at our hotel for a walking tour, and helped the history come alive for us. He was great complying with personal limitations, and showed us a full experience. Thank you Abdul!
Very nice guide help us a lot and show us the beutiful Medina of Tanger tell us a lot from the Hisory of Marocco and Tanger so helpfull and realy great Guide. If we visit marocco again we will do more trips with him.
Hamid is one of the greatest guides out there. Brings you to the best places, speaks many languages and is very clear. Would recommend 100%
While staying in Spain we decided to take the ferry over to Tangier for the day. Once getting off the boat we were met by Abdel and what an amazing day we had with him!! He showed us the city in the few hours we had to see it along with showing us some of the Moroccan foods and drinks! We can only hope to make it back and have Abdel to led us!
Don't hesitate to have a tour with Hamid. He is so kind, generous, and thoughtful. We had the best tour of Tangier. It was more than the Medina. You have not seen all of Tangiers highlights till you do this tour!! IT IS A MUST!
My family and I (my wife and two teenage daughters) spent the day with Abdel touring Tangier. Abdel is such a wonderful guide, very knowledgeable and also very funny and kind. He took us places at our pace and made us feel very welcome. Thank you Abdel for giving us a great day in Tangier. We highly recommend his business! Colorado, USA
My friend and I arrived unannounced at Hamid's office (on the advice of the Tourist Office) and within two charming minutes, our tour was arranged. Hamid guided us with expert knowledge, humour, charm and adaptability through the French quarter of the more modern Tangiers (19th - 20th century) to - and through - the Medina and the Kasbah. There were stories, facts and fascinating features to be told and pointed out at every turn, but the pace remained relaxed, the tales fascinating but not incessant. Hamid also accompanied us to charming and trustworthy merchants of genuine craftsmanship where we were welcomed and shown the beautiful products with no inappropriate pressure to buy (and we bought very little with no loss of warmth). Hamid's French and English are both excellent. On a future trip to Tangiers, we will most definitely do another (or even perhaps the very same) tour with Hamid. I recommend him without the slightest hesitation. Choukran Hamid!
Worth every penny, and more...orientation, views, information, insight...main boulevard, Medina with Kasbah, petit socco and grand socco, and more
Abdel took me around to see so much of Tangier, and he provided an orientation, explanations, and remarkable insight. It was easy to talk with him , and he picked up on what was important to me. We walked in the new city, and when we went into the small winding streets of the Medina, I felt so lucky to be accompanied and guided by someone so patient and knowledgeable. I saw and learned about so much more than I expected. Truly outstanding travel experience!
There were four of us visiting Tangier for the day and we wanted to see as much of the city as we could. We also knew very little about the city and didn't want to just wander on our own. We also didn't want to spend a lot of money and be on a bus with 30 other people. For a fraction of what others on our ship paid we were greeted at the pier by Hamid who whisked us away to a fantastic visit that far exceeded our expectations. We drove through the city stopping at places for photos and views, then visited Cap Spartel and the Caves of Hercules before heading back to the city and walking through the Medina and Kasbah. We never felt rushed and he tailored our day based on our interests. He openly answered our questions about Morocco's history and customs and seemed to know everyone he met. We never would have seen as much on our own. He told us that he also does tours throughout Morocco. If we ever have a chance to go back, and we want to very much, we will make sure Hamid is the first person we contact.
We did do a walking tour in Tangier. One must have a guide - I don’t think this is a place to wander around on your own - but quite safe with a tour guide. We enjoyed lunch there then walked through the Kasbah or Market Place. Visited a carpet store - nice if you wish to buy a carpet. Also visited a spice shop - very interesting.
We had a wonderful day with Hamid visiting Tangier. His English is excellent and he catered to this American group on our first day in Morocco. Although we were jet lagged, he kept us going and interested. Thanks Hamid!!
Great walking tour of Tangier. Discovery of neighborhoods close to our hotel with explanations about the history of the city and tips for the rest of our stay. A guide who knew how to meet all our expectations and whose priority was to make us fully enjoy our stay.
Hamid is an excellent guide. Very cultured and passionate about its old and its history. List passionate clear and interesting. It adapts very well to the demand. Warmly recommended by the whole family. thank you to him.
Great walking tour of Tangier city with Hamid, our very friendly, professional guide: he knows everything about everything and speaks impeccable French. He made us discover unusual places that are worth a visit. It was strong good tips and tricks for our tour in the area. I recommend it with your eyes closed. Nice meeting.
Hamid was very kind and fully at our disposal during this afternoon. Some difficulties in French but the walk was very pleasant in his company. Thank you!
