Tangier: Hercules Caves, Cap Spartel & Camel Ride Experience

Worthwhile adventure! It was everything we expected and more. Very informative and lots of picture opportunities.

Khaled was a very knowledgeable driver/tour operator. He managed the trip to minimize our time in the line waiting for the camel ride and was very informative with his description of the history of and life in Tangier

Khalid was our driver/guide. He did a great job explaining the different neighborhoods we drove thru on the way to Cape Spartel which had beautiful views. We then drove to the beach for the highlight of the trip: riding the camels. This was a great experience. We rode up and down the beach for almost 30 min which was plenty of time. We went to the caves next but no one from our group went in because I believe they only accepted Moroccan money (80 MAD). That was ok as we only had about 20 min there. We were then returned back to the port and our cruise ship. Super good price and highly recommended.

Good experience. Camel ride was fun . Sight seeing was okay unfortunately our guide gave very little information but was very pleasant.

Great tour of Tangier. Our guide took us around and was very good. The camel ride was perfect for us. 20 minutes was more then enough.

Mohammed is a great guide but be prepared for him to take you to market stores where you have to listen to someone try to sell you something. Everything else was really good. The stops were great and he was extremely knowledgeable.

We just loved riding the camels. The gentlemen were so helpful getting us on and off the camels as well as taking photo and video of our experience. Also stopping at a beautiful overlook and a stop were we could see Spain from Africa. We choose not to stop at Hercules Cave. Would recommend this excursion.

Hisham our driver and escort was very pleasant and was great on giving us history of the area as we traveled. Our camel ride on the sunny beach was great and the guide and his camels were fantastic

This company is brilliant, they contact you the night before to confirm all details with really clear information which is so appreciated. We got met at the gates of the port which is a 7 minute walk from cruise to the gates where the tour guide is waiting. Muhammad 67 was our allocated tour taxi and what a wonderful tour guide, so full of information and very proud of tangier, he was so kind to us all giving us cold water bottles and wipes after the fun camel ride, he dropped some of us at the medina afterwards which was also brilliant as we enjoyed a stroll thru the winding streets on route back to the ship...highly recommend Mohammed 67 and this trip .

Mohammad67 was such a nice tour guide! Others who booked same tour with us canceled and we had a private day. We learned about different parts of Tanger as we drove to and from each destination. The views looked fake in photos, but the colors are that incredibly real. The camel ride was extra for us, but it is a good memory! Unfortunately the cave of Hercules was so crowded, the line didn’t move. If you want go inside and view some of these things, you should budget a lot more time. We don’t feel like we missed anything special, though. This eas a fun excursion!

Taha was amazing and very knowledgeable. He was on time for pickup and was very easy to talk to. Definitely recommend!

Took Hop on Hop off bus to go to Cap Spartel and Caves of Herclules. The cave was amazing. We also visited the city going through narrow streets and visited spice shops.

We went on the Hercules Cave and Camel Ride Experience with our tour guide, Taha, this morning. We had the best time. The tour was affordable and so much fun. Taha was very courteous and professional. We had a great time and would definitely recommend this tour to anyone.

Great experience riding the camels, it was fun and once in a lifetime experience. The Hercules Caves was a bit of let down due to the line up and prices for very little to see but all the viewpoints and info our guide gave along the way was very interesting.

The tour was short enough at 2.5 hours to take in 3 local sites and do a camel ride and still get a ferry from Tarifa to Tanger Ville and back in a total of 7 hours.

Our tour Guide (Taha) was extremely knowledgeable and provided historical information about Morocco. All the stops on our tour were well planned. Having a private tour was so much more of a value than any group tour. Our Guide,Taha, made the trip incredibly memorable.

We enjoyed this experience, especially doing the camel ride. It is something to remember. An the visuals in the cave are amazing. Would recommend this for anyone. Our guide was great describing the area we were seeing.

Only had a few hours in Tangier and this was a great way to spend it. Our driver made sure we were back on time and the camel ride was super fun.

He was friendly, professional, and accommodating, with excellent communication through WhatsApp. Everything was easy and stress-free from our cruise ship. A great way to experience Tangier. It was a great experience. Our guide, Khaled, was phenomenal. Knowledgeable and really nice. We got through the tour and he was full of such great information and made sure we were as comfortable as possible in the heat. Explained to us the proper way of riding and petting a camel. The whole experience was unforgettable.

Amazing driver. Spoke English. Learnt a lot about maroccan society and history, which was a lot more interesting that the sights themselves. Adapted to our needs and absolutely no hassle- clear communication regarding pick up, even sent a photo of the car, offered a booster seat etc. The scenery for the camel ride was absolutely stunning and the guide we had there was very friendly. The experierence unfortunately was completely ruined for us when another man (his boss?) hit one of the camels with a stick to make it walk faster.

Zouheir our guide was very nice and spoke several languages. Definitely recommend. It was a great short excursion and seeing that green part of tangier was very interesting and beautiful.

We drove through the city and had a chance to stop by a couple viewpoints on our way on our way to the activity. Our driver, Omar, was fantastic.

We had a great time with Mohamed, who showed us around Tangier, with a lot of history, and trivia about the city. I highly recommend this tour!

Mohammed67 was an excellent tour guide. We booked a private tour, and he was very accommodating as far as making sure we had enough time visiting each place to enjoy the views and get pictures. We thoroughly enjoyed the camel ride. Would highly recommend!

This was an excellent experience! Our guide picked us up just outside our riad and drove us to all of the sites, giving us helpful commentary and answering all our questions on the way. We were given enough time to explore the sites on our own, and he dropped us off at a restaurant at the end. Highly recommended if you are looking for a convenient way to get around with some local insights.

Very good communication from tour company and our driver/tour guide - Khalid. Pickup instructions clear . Nice air conditioned van. Khalid explained lots as he was driving us to the locations. Some picturesque spots and nice photo opportunities. Did the camel ride which was good. Make sure you take a hat as the wait for the camel ride on the beach is hot with no shade. Need about $16 euro worth of Moroccan dirhams (cash) for the Hercules cave entry. Khalid took us past a currency exchange and an ATM

There was just two of us with a driver which was good for us as we had to get back to our cruise liner early. Loved the camel rides. It wasn't spectacular but it was a nice afternoon out. It wasn't expensive & the driver was lovely.

We had such a great time on this tour. Khalid was so funny and knowledgeable. He made quick pivots when lines were long and helped us get the most out of the tour. The camel rides were so fun!!

We arrived late and had to come into a different city due to ferry and wind problems and our driver was so flexible and kind accommodating us. Thank you!

You get a driver only. You are on your own to explore the spots he takes you to. Entry fees to the Cap Sparta lighthouse and Hercules Cave are not included. The camel ride is about 20 minutes on the beach. We had a very nice driver but got no information on what we were seeing.

These tour guides go above and beyond- they got us a car separate from the group when we thought we would miss our cruise departure

Our tour guide was excellent. Communicated very well from the moment we booked so he was sure to pick us up as close to our Airbnb as possible. He responded quickly to questions we had about the tour prior to picking us up. He was very knowledgeable about the history and facts about not only the places we were touring, but also sights along the way. We had a wonderful time!

Hicham was our driver and guide. An excellent driver and guide he was there for us 100%. He was flexible and patient with us. He explained to us the places we visited and he was very pleasant. The camel ride was a hoot… quite challenging for two 80 year old ladies but they were careful and helpful getting us on and off the camel. I highly recommend this private tour.

Great overview of some of the key sites without having to devote a full day. The camel ride is very touristy, but fun!

Private tour with Imad was incredible and the best way to do this particular tour. This was we could decide how little or how long to stay at each attraction and it suited us best. Imad was very knowledgeable and super accommodating. As someone who was born and raised here- you could tell they love where they are from! Would recommend private tour for this one 100%
