Good tour. 1st 2 hrs driving to see sights-Saudi pence palaces, cap cartel lighthouse, Hercules caves. Big highlight for us was camel ride on the beach. Then walking tour of Kasbah-old city. It’s a market, narrow streets, food, clothes, pottery etc. guide directs u into shops-all trying to get u to buy. But not too high pressure. But not like a tour of many castles and old cities-this is mostly to sell. But that’s part of this city. But enjoyed it and guide ashkar nice n knowledgeable. Driver Abdul was great too. All in all enjoyed quite a bit

The Perdicaris Park extends in an area of 70 hectares between the sea and the mountain. Known also under the name Rmilat, it offers a great natural and cultural richness. It was an old property of a US diplomat but now it belongs to the Moroccan State, which is in charge of its maintenance and preservation.
Cape Spartel is frequently but incorrectly referred to as the northernmost point of Africa, It is the most North Western point of mainland Africa. The cape rises to a height of 326 m. at the top of Jebel Quebir where there is a tower. There is another tower nearer to the end of the cape which serves as a lighthouse. Near Cape Spartel is Spartel Bank, a sunken island hypothesized by some as the location of the legendary island of Atlantis. .
Located in Achakar, in the West of Tangier, the Caves of Hercules are among the most famous historic monuments of Tangier. Both local visitors and foreigners frequent this legendary place that has just been renovated. It was in the year 5000 B.C. that these caverns, dug by the waves of the Ocean, were discovered. The Caves of Hercules have a natural entrance to the Atlantic Ocean, which has strangely adopted the form of the African continent.
Kasbah museum where the architecture is as much of a draw as the exhibits. Housed in Dar el-Makhzen, a former sultan's palace on the edge of the medina, the institution features a traditional courtyard garden and contains exhibits on the history of Tangier, from prehistory to the great Islamic dynasties that forged Morocco
Tangier's medina (old city) tumbles down the cliff towards the ocean in a labyrinth of narrow alleyways. The central vortex of medina life is the square known as the Petit Socco, where old men sit for hours drinking tea and playing backgammon. During its fast-paced past, the medina was a playground for author Paul Bowles and America's legendary beatnik literary figures such as Jack Kerouac, Allen Ginsberg, and William Burroughs. Wandering around this area is a must for Tangier visitors. Just west of the Petit Socco on Rue Siaghine is The Church of the Immaculate Conception, built by the Spanish in 1880. East of the square is the Grand Mosque

Hameed was very knowledgeable, friendly, easy to understand. I definitely got an education. Highly recommend.
This is a great excursion and covers everything. Definitely a must tour. Our guide was a native and extremely knowledgeable.. Charif was an amazing guide.
Tour guide was excellent and did his best to accommodate a group of elderly Asiatic people who were from a different viator tour but added to our tour at the last minute, this party had booked a private tour This party had members who from the start of tour became disruptive and indeed argumentative with the guide even one person punched the guide and said he was the worst ever. From the start they made it clear that we were not really wanted on "Their Tour" although we were on the correct tour and they had joined ours. The Tour guide was excellent and tried his best to keep the party together due to varying degrees of mobility in the "Private Party", he showed us different parts of the outer City areas before guiding us through inner city areas and explaining in detail history of buildings. Overall the tour was good and informative, being spoiled by fellow tourists. Would we recommend the tour ....Yes It Was 4 Hour tour in a lifetime of memories but one that will linger in our minds.
Was a super neat tour. We got to see and learn a lot. It is quite a bit of walking downhill, so keep that in mind. I was a little disappointed that we didn’t get an opportunity to spend more time in the markets, instead just stopping at a few affiliated shops. Or guide changed a few times when we changed location but our original guide Neil? (Pronounced like ‘Nail’) was beyond knowledgeable and did such an amazing job explaining everything and answering all of our questions.
Great tour of Tangier with Omar, a very knowledgeable and friendly guide. We also had a driver who navigated the narrow streets with ease! We went to the Caves of Hercules, the Kasbah and the Medina which is the old section of Tangier. Although very hilly, the walk was well worth it! Would definitely recommend this tour!
The first guide was knowledgeable but he passed us off to his partner who took us specific stores that he may have got paid for.
Very good guide. Achraf was very knowledgeable about his country and Tangier. He was helpful and keen do what we wanted. We had a good tour of the city and saw panoramic views from a parkland area. He took us to Spartal lighthouse where we had coffee and mint tea.We went to the Caves of Hercules too which were good to see. It was just our guide and a driver and us, so it was very personalised. We then did a tour of the medina market which was an interesting maze of small streets. Achraf seemed to know everyone! Local people were very friendly. The only criticism we would make was that we were taken into certain shops to see goods and products that we weren't really interested in. This is fairly normal , in our experience, where I suspect the guide gets a commission if we buy anything but it does become rather tedious. Once we made it clear we weren't going to buy he moved on. Overall I can recommend Achraf. He was bright and cheerful and keen to please.
We had a great experience with Achraf our tour guide. He was extremely knowledgeable and steered us away from the touristy places. Great personality. I highly recommend him.
Name of Guide was Achraf Abdeddaim who was fantastic. He asked at beginning what we wanted to see on 4 hour tour. we told him and what we saw was exactly what we wanted. Very much on time to begin & end tour.
The first part of the tour is extremely well put together. The tour guide was very informed and able to answer all questions about the history and culture. The tour was designed to accommodate those with mobility differences. On the second part of the tour, which is termed as a "walking tour," please be prepared to experience the market with a full detailed presentation of items in various shops. You are strongly encouraged to make a purchase. If you are not interested in shopping, you may want to exit this part of the tour. You are given this option and they will return you to the point of pick up.
Great tour covering the key highlights of Morocco with an extremely knowledgeable local guide. Perfect for cruise passengers with only a day to experience Morocco. Small group with only 6 of us so plenty of opportunity to ask questions and no extra costs on route, everything was covered within the tour price. Be prepared though it is an awful lot of walking! Our tour was meant to be 4 hours but it actually took 6 hours and we were all absolutely exhausted by the time we got back to the ship.
Very good experience- would not have done this except with a great guide - communication was absolutely excellent- bring good shoes and a positive attitude and you are in for an experience of a lifetime
This trip was great, although we did not go into the cave. The line was just too long to get in and there were other places to go. Hamid was an excellent guide. He spent a lot of time discussing the history of the Kasbah and the Medina. He then guided us to an excellent restaurant when the tour was over. We highly recommend this tour.
Excellent Tour Guide. Very Knowledgeable and caring. Visits to wonderful sites and great explanations.
Beautiful mix of coastal areas and the Old Town. Visiting the Cave of Hercules was grear- camels nearby!
Our guide, Said, was extremely knowledgeable about the history & the area of Tangier. We really enjoyed driving & seeing the countryside as well as the "old" & "new" city. He suggested a good local restaurant so we could get a taste of authentic Moroccan food & it was spot on. He took his time in answering our questions. Would definitely recommend him as a tour guide.
We were lucky to be the only people on this tour with Mohammed , the driver and Magid , our tour guide. They personalized our trip to include a trip to the wine store and the American Legation. We highly recommend this tour!
The guide Mohamed was very knowledgeable and easy to deal with. That made the tour so much more pleasurable. It’s not an easy place to find your way around so spend the money on a guide. It’s worth so much more!!!
Interesting history interesting information and sights great knowledge guide and a safe good driver Enjoyed our time
I cannot express enough how wonderful it was to have Mr. Abderrahman Taidi as a guide. Anyone familiar with the area could have walked us from place to place and shared general knowledge but Mr. Taidi showed us a glimpse of the sense of community the neighborhoods in Tangier share. It didn't take me very long to notice the regard he is given by the people on the streets (so very, very many people!) or how he looks out for them in return. We visited The Kasbah of Tangier Museum of Mediterranean Cultures and then made our way into the Kasbah and to the marketplace itself. During this we had the opportunity to see a community bakery, the fountains that support the neighborhoods, and a myraid of twisting streets that led through various markets. Everything from tailors, to grocers, herbalists, home decor... I looked at my progress that my watch tracked and while we stayed in a relatively small area what we saw will take some time to process in my mind. As a parent, I appreciate the patience that was shown to my son. This trip was his first outside of the US and he had some trepidation when we arrived but that seems to have eased up considerably with Mr. Taidi's patience and easygoing nature. My son enjoyed his conversations with him so much that we decided to stick with him as our guide for tomorrow, too. If it isn't obvious to readers already, I think that they will do well in getting in contact/requesting Mr. Taidi by name. As for the company that provided him to us as a guide, I can only say that I appreciate their willingness to provide a ride to get us and to return us to our hotel. If the rest of their guides are as gracious as ours, they are a good company indeed.
I booked this trip because it had various options for pick up time, and it fit perfectly in our schedule for a 4pm tour after our arrival to Tangier at 3pm. Our guide was very informative, and answered many of our complex and sometimes stupid questions kindly about history and culture of Morocco and Tangier. The only thing I didn’t enjoy so much about the tour is the shopping part. We were taken to a family co-op artisan shop and while the guide was not pushy at all, the seller was pushy and took out like 20 rugs under the guise of telling us about the culture and techniques involved in rug making, then pretty much guilt tripped us into buy something. This is the culture of guided tours everywhere and well expected, but it was really hard to walk out of there without purchasing a rug. I’m the kind of traveler who WILL spend good money on something that I absolutely love, but I feel that I was coerced to purchase a rug that I didn’t need and wasn’t entirely in love with. I didn’t want to spend more time picking out something that is perfect, and by the 20th rug, it got quite pushy and they were already packaging a rug that I only said maybe to. Information and convenience wise, absolutely a wonderful tour. I’d do it again, minus the shopping. I dare say that This tour is not for people who are not comfortable walking away with a sense of guilt because you might go home with a buyers regret.
it was a business visit i find the service of the company, the driver was so professional, patient, i would really recommend them services, i surely keep working with them. i to do not forget the pricing it was really good thank you for the service and see you next week
The tour wasn't private. We shared it with another couple, even though I confirmed private. They were told the same thing. The guide was very knowledgeable and generous with his time. He took us to too many "special" shops in the kasbah that were over priced. If you ask him to give you private time he will do that. Overall a good value

Picked up at hotel promptly. Guide was excellent. Great tour!

Do NOT take this tour. 4 of us booked this weeks before departing on a 3 week trip. We arrived by cruise ship at Port of Tangiers at 0830 for arranged tour of 0900. I did not receive an email with how to contact the host or any reply after 10 days for connection information. I spent 1 1/2 hours on ship phones the day before to obtain confirmation to be at port at 9:00. All other passengers were met by tour operators wearing badges and holding signs for their group. Instead, we were surrounded by shouting and aggressive men making sales pitches. Not one operator had heard of Viator. We walked 1/2 mile out of Port to another parking area where a non-English speaking driver held a paper with my name hand-written and gestured for us to get in the car. He showed no credentials, had no Viator reservation info. 20 minutes later the English speaking guide arrived and the tour began.
We drove around a lot while he talked about what Islam means, their desire for peace. Saw The Cave of Hercules, but guide had no knowledge of why it was so named or any associated myths. Walked through the filthy stinking Messa, but anticipated those conditions. Walked through the Old City. He didn't show inside any buildings, only followed him through streets. Without our guide, we each snuck peeks inside hotels and were welcomed. He took us to buy spice and perfumes from a very bizarre touristy shop and creepy salesman. There was slight of hand as my purchases were wrapped. What I came home with is not what I requested. We were super anxious about the entire experience, worst part of the entire 2 1/2 week vacation.

The tour guide was amazing, experienced and truly kind. the tour excelled our expectations. Thanks a lot!

Great to be back in Tangier with a knowledgeable guide. Comfortable bus and English speaking as well.
The tour was interesting and informative. Wear comfortable shoes and be prepared for some walking.

Hamid was the best tour guide. He even paid for my kids to ride on the camels and saved the hustle of negotiating this. I was immensely grateful.

Fabulous tour. Our guide, Ben was prompt and informative. We would highly recommend this tour. It gave us a great snapshot of the local culture and beautiful countryside. We enjoyed walking through the Medina.

We paid extra for a private tour for 4 people. Just before the trip I received an email from JTT that I should be on the dock by 9am and look for a sign that said Mystical Tours - Condon.
My sister is in a wheelchair. We had planned on storing the wheelchair at the gangplank and having her use her cane for a minimal amount of walking tour. We had agreed she would wait in the van during the Hercules Caves.
The tour buses were far away from the dock so it was decided she would ride out, I'd take it back and join them. We had enough time. When we got to where operators were waiting Mystical Tours was a large bus with high step into it. Many many people.
One good thing about the trip, they did decide to store the chair by putting it in bus luggage.

We had to wait till after 9:15 for 4 missing people ... turns out they were at another dock and we had to go there.... actual tour start time was after 9:30am due to these delays. First stop for bathroom I spoke to the guide that this is not what I had paid for and he told me there was no way they would do a custom tour on this day.

Fine for Caves
For the camels we had to wait an extra long time cause after all others were done 1 couple changed their minds and we all had to wait for them to have their rides.
At the Casbah we were told we had to take all things from the bus because the same bus might not meet us at the other end. That meant the wheelchair had to navigate the casbah. Not planned, very rough terrain, no help from the tour guide. Amazingly sister and chair survived.

Guide required all stay with him... no stopping to look at anything ... and marched us through to his first picked place where he got a kick back The stop at the spice shop was over 30 minutes waiting for those of us whose allergies don't allow going inside. Same kickback at the next he allowed. People who stopped got in trouble with him.

Tour was supposed to include a stop for lunch sellf paid before return to boat ... but at 1:30 short of the 5 hours the others on bus had paid for he returned us to ship. No help for getting the wheelchair back out. Back in after Casbah I found people to help and paid them. At dock there was only the bus driver and me ... a 68 year old woman. I tipped him for his help.,

NEVER EVER USE JTT OR MYSTICAL TOURS. If you need handicap assist, get a taxi when you arrive in port.

i loved the tour. my wife said it was just ok. our tour leader spoke very good english and was very knowledgeable on all aspects of tangerian life and history. i only rated this tour with four stars as the tour stated we would visit the kasbah and we, unfortunately, did not.
be prepared for alot of uneven surfaces with the walking part of the tour which was more than i expected. love this city where the atlantic ocean and the mediterranean sea come together.

Great tour! Loved Tangier's culture. The guide was great and also spoke French! Would recommend Viator!

Met all expectations and represented good value compared to what was offered by the cruise ship tours.

I loved our guide and the insights he gave us as a local. But I did not like the end of the tour. I had researched 4 restaurants to eat at and asked for his opinion, he said he had the best place for local food and that we should go there instead. It was a tourist trap with a bunch of other guides bringing their people in too.... so it ended up putting a bad taste in my mouth.

Picked up at Tangier Port by Alan, taxi driver, very efficient, he was holding a notice up with our name on it. We were joined by Shariff our guide who was excellent. We are elderly and not too mobile and Shaariff paced it for us and we saw all the main sites without being too exhausted.
We liked Tangier, we would go back. Do not believe all the rubbish you hear from the cruise companies. We were treated with the utmost respect and did not feel threatened or in danger. Highly recommend this tour.

Sent a review months ago...still same 5 stars. Guide, itinerary, planning of all tour great. Second time took your tours...Vietnam Nam and Cambodia several years ago. Great company! HIGHLY RECOMMEND, as noted!

I loved the tour. Our guide was excellent. After the driving portion of the tour I particularly liked the walking portion of the tour. Walking thru the streets of Tangiers seeing the locals, hearing the drums, seeing the Mosques, hearing the history from our guide, especially the religious history and walking through the markets was just fabulous.

Very well done. Tour guide was very informative. Saw more with this guide then what the boat guide showed. Would recommend your tour group to others. Thanks

Hamid was a amazing tour guide showing us so many great places in Tangier. Hamid was kind and freindly and he knew so many of the people around Tangier it was so nice. we had heard stories we might of been over run with people trying to sale us things or having our handbags stolen. but we both felt very safe and our time in Tangiers was a joy and have said to friends back in England to use your tour. thank you so much for making our time so special. we were on a weeks holiday in Spain with family who live there . thank you again .

we had a very good four hours - Tangier old town was very interesting and we also enjoyed the Caves of Hercules - thanks to the tour guide who took into account the age of some of the group and made sure everybody was comfortable

We were met promptly by Saed right outside the cruise port. Van was very comfortable.

We had a wonderful tour and day in Morocco. Saed was a perfect host, he was full of knowledge and made us fall in love with Morocco. We felt taken care of all day long.

Highly recommend this tour! Perfect day!

This was an excellent trip. The guide was very knowledgeable and thorough. The city and sites were impressive. For me, the tour was a little long.

This was my fav port. We hired a private short break tour. Our guide Sharif was amazing. He gave us a person side to Tangier, Morocco. We got to see a lot of amazing places on and off the tour route. I bought an authentic Moroccon rug and i can't wait to get it. This was a place I could have stayed longer... My family and I had a great time and would likely go back..

One of the best tours I've ever been on! The sights, sounds and smells is exciting and overwhelming at the same time! So many contrasts, from the caves of Hercules, view of the Strait of Gilbraltar, riding a camel, the Kasbah, the Medina and the market!! Great guide!!

It was amazing! Our tour guide, Sied, was great! We had a wonderful time. we even went shopping and had a traditional meal. Mint tea and tagine. I highly recommend this tour.

Very enjoyable day. Guide was very knowledgeable and spend as much time as we wanted in the various places. It was reassuring to have a local guide in the Souk, as we felt a lot safer and didn't get hassled. He was friendly and spoke and understood English really well.

Ter a possibilidade de conhecer não só os pontos turísticos, mas também a verdadeira cultura dos locais
Very professional Service: driving and driver friendliness, respect for schedule... I recommend
