We had the most amazing trip with Medineando in Tangier. Badr and Aboubakr (our driver) made our trip incredible. We hired Medineando for our entire stay, from airport pick up, the tour to Chefchaouen, the Medina and Asilah, it was an amazing decision. Not only did we have excellent tours and experience but Badr made sure to make sure that everyone in our group was having a great time and provide recommendations for restaurants and even helped us make reservations. 100% recommend them, I will hire them if we visit Tangier or Morocco again!

Itinerary
We will begin the tour with a warm welcome in a private vehicle, taking you to discover Tangier’s emblematic International Zone. We will drive through the elegant French Quarter, home to Boulevard Pasteur and the historic Grand Café de Paris; the Spanish Quarter, with highlights such as the San Francisco area and the Cervantes Theatre; the Italian Quarter, featuring the Mulay Hafid Palace; and the Marchan area, where the Royal Palace, the former Forbes residence, the Phoenician Tombs, and the legendary Café Hafa reveal the cosmopolitan soul of Tangier. This panoramic introduction offers an immersive journey through the neighborhoods that made Tangier a crossroads of cultures, stories, and eras.
We will continue with a scenic drive through Perdicaris Forest, a peaceful natural park where lush landscapes, coastal views, and the hills surrounding Tangier create a refreshing contrast to the city’s vibrant atmosphere.
We will visit Cape Spartel, one of Tangier’s most iconic viewpoints, where the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea meet in a breathtaking coastal setting. It is the perfect place to enjoy panoramic views and capture the magic of northern Morocco.
Begin your experience with a magical 30-minute camel ride along Tangier’s Atlantic beach, where the sound of the waves, the sea breeze, and the endless horizon create an unforgettable moment. Afterwards, step into the historic heart of the city: a journey through whitewashed walls, carved doors, and centuries of history. From the Grand Socco to the Kasbah, every corner reveals the legacy of sultans, artists, and fascinating figures who made Tangier a true crossroads of worlds. Discover the authentic side of the city with calm, style, and curiosity, in an intimate and immersive
We will explore the famous Caves of Hercules, one of Tangier’s most legendary natural sites, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Known for its unique rock formations and mythical history, this remarkable place combines nature, legend, and breathtaking scenery, revealing one of the most magical sides of Tangier.
From the Grand Socco, I will give you an immersive welcome to the heart of Tangier. I will not only share the city’s history and its role as a city-state, but also introduce you to the legendary International Zone of Tangier. This unique area, where cultures and nations came together, gave the city its unmistakable cosmopolitan character. I will show you our route on the map so you can rediscover Tangier on your own in the afternoon. You will connect with Tangier’s local customs and Moroccan traditions, while understanding how this multicultural city has left its mark on world literature and history. I invite you to experience Tangier with elegance, depth, and curiosity.
We will visit the Tangier American Legation, the first American public property outside the United States and a remarkable symbol of the historic diplomatic ties between Morocco and the United States. This essential stop offers a deeper understanding of Tangier’s international identity and its unique role in the history of global diplomacy.
From here, we will step into the labyrinth of the Medina, where the elegance of authenticity comes to life. We will explore its vibrant markets, where aromas, flavors, and colors intertwine, while I show you hidden corners filled with history. Along the way, we will make small stops to discover the city’s cultural richness, passing by synagogues, mosques, and churches, and you will be welcome to ask me anything that sparks your curiosity. Each visit is unique and adapts to your interests, allowing us to personalize the experience as we go. In this Medina full of contrasts, we will discover the original and genuine side of Tangier, shaped by what each of you wishes to explore.
We will stop at the charming Petit Socco, the former heart of the Medina during the era of International Tangier. Surrounded by iconic cafés such as Café Tingis, Café Central, and Café Fuentes, this atmospheric square was once a meeting point for artists, writers, travelers, and mysterious figures during a fascinating period marked by the Spanish Civil War, the Second World War, and the world of espionage. As we walk through its narrow streets, you will notice traces of European colonial architecture that still evoke Tangier’s cosmopolitan golden age. Here, I will bring to life the stories, legends, and characters that made International Tangier one of the most intriguing cities in the world.
Standing in front of the Grand Mosque of Tangier, in the heart of the Medina, we will uncover the history of one of the city’s most emblematic landmarks. Built on the site of a former Portuguese cathedral and transformed over the centuries, this place offers a fascinating window into Tangier’s layered past. Here, we will talk about Islam in Morocco, its customs, its cultural importance, and the way spirituality shapes everyday life. This will be an open and respectful moment of discovery, where you can ask questions and gain a deeper understanding of Moroccan traditions, Islamic culture, and the architectural heritage of the Medina.
We will explore the Kasbah, Tangier’s former administrative quarter and once the residence of the sultan. Today, it is one of the city’s most charming and photogenic neighborhoods, with whitewashed houses, Andalusian-style courtyards, and breathtaking views over the Strait of Gibraltar. As we walk through its quiet lanes, riads, and historic corners, I will share the architectural evolution of the area, from 15th-century fortifications to the terraces that have inspired artists, writers, and travelers over the years. This part of the tour reveals the living history of Tangier in one of its most beautiful and atmospheric settings.

I would like to thank our guide Bard for the treatment he gave our group of friends who took the tour with him. He could not have been more attentive to all our questions and concerns. The tour of the city was spectacular, it was super fun for us, and despite the heat, he took us through its streets in such a way that we did not feel the heat at all. We made safe purchases with reliable parking. He made the experience unforgettable for us. Thank you for your professionalism and charming personality. Best regards
I want to thank our guide Bard from the bottom of my heart for the unique and unforgettable experience in Tangier. You have been very kind, attentive, and very professional. You have conveyed the history, culture, and every corner of Tangier to us in an entertaining and interesting way. You managed to make us feel at home with your personalized attention and by giving us very good recommendations, making us get to know the city beyond a tourist visit, and thanks to you we have known the authentic Tangier. I would choose you a thousand times more. You are a true professional, unique, and with a special charm. I 100% recommend to all visitors to the city that they explore every corner in your company. Without a doubt, you are the best guide I have ever had. I will not forget this trip to Tangier. I only have left to say thank you, thank you, and thank you. May life smile at you as you make everyone who accompanies you smile. I will return and I will always choose you.
Badr made our experience very special by taking us to places in the city that we would not have reached on our own. In addition to having taught us so many things, he was charming at all times. Highly recommended :)
Wonderful weekend with friends; the convenience of having everything organized made everything go phenomenally.
Thanks to Badr, I was able to enjoy an unforgettable trip to the Medina and the Kasbah of Tangier. In addition to taking me to see the most beautiful and impressive corners, he explained the meaning of each monument and also of every humble corner. In the heart of the Medina and the Kasbah, I was able to see artisans working in real time and visit places of spiritual significance, thus I was able to experience an admirable culture firsthand. He also advised me on the best shops and helped me with my purchases (including the delicious pastries he gifted me!). I did not feel like a tourist, but rather welcomed as a guest. Upon my return, I had the opportunity to paint in watercolor the places that had stayed in my heart, like the famous "Morabito" (although I do not paint like the version Matisse made...), they are at the beginning of the photo series. An afternoon that was worth a thousand days!
It was a great decision to hire the services of Medineando! I recommend it without a doubt. A group of friends and I traveled for a weekend, and they organized the visits and excursions tailored for us to get to know Tangier and its surroundings. Our guide Dadr was very attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was to our liking. Tangier pleasantly surprised me. The old town of the Medina and Kasbah is spectacular. Its narrow white streets are beautiful, and the nearby beaches are stunning. Without a doubt, when I return, I will hire them again.
He made our visit to Morocco very comfortable and easy, with everything organized, and he naturally explained the tourist sites in the city of Tangier, and it did not feel heavy at all; on the contrary, it felt short, which is something that usually does not happen to me!!
It was a fantastic experience. The guide was very well trained, with a very good level of Spanish; he was super kind, polite, and generous. Without a doubt, we would repeat it.
The experience was incredible. We felt supported and very comfortable with the guide at all times. The driver was also very punctual and professional. Always attentive to our needs. Highly advisable, a thousand percent.
We were a group of 7 girls. A fantastic experience in every way. Badr (Medineando) was very attentive, his recommendations were spot on, he explained in great detail and at the same time in a pleasant manner the history and cultures of Tangier. We had a minibus for ourselves for the long transfers, which gave us peace of mind and agility to enjoy. Totally recommendable.
We went as a group of 7 friends for a weekend to Tangier, and the experience with Badr (Medineando) was excellent. We received very good treatment and a highly personalized tour. We had car transportation, and the guide explained everything to us throughout the entire journey. Highly recommended.
Unforgettable experience in the medina "Kadima." It has been an afternoon full of discoveries of beautiful corners and interesting facts about life, customs, and the history of the medina and its people. We are very grateful for what we have learned and also for the time shared; we have felt very comfortable! Thank you very much.
Extraordinary experience filled with culture and views of the most special, spectacular, and magical aspects of each place we visited
I loved getting to know the Medina; its little streets and houses form a fantastic labyrinth. They took us to see a workshop where they make machine-spun yarn, which looks very interesting, and their work to create different types of items with their colorful threads. I love the cats that are everywhere, even in the shops. Their food is exquisite, fragrant, and very tasty, the tea is delicious, and their sweets are super tasty. Their customs and traditions are also interesting, the clothing of the women is very beautiful, and our guide was very professional, friendly, punctual, and super pleasant, explaining everything very well without leaving any doubts about the questions. He is a guy who clearly loves to learn and teach about how fantastic his country is; you leave wanting to stay and stay, not wanting to leave such a magical place.
I had the fortune to visit Tangier and discover this fascinating Moroccan city with Badr as my guide. Without a doubt, it has been one of the most memorable experiences of my trip. From the very first moment, his kindness, professionalism, and passion for sharing the history and culture of his city made the tour much more than just a simple outing. Walking through the lesser-known corners of the Medina allowed me to experience an authentic Tangier, full of history, traditions, and charm. Every place we visited had a special story, and the way Badr conveyed it made everything come to life. In addition to his extensive knowledge, his warmth and attention made the experience feel close and genuine. The tour was perfectly balanced between culture, history, moments to enjoy the surroundings, and opportunities to take incredible photographs. Thanks to this experience, I not only got to know the city, but I also managed to connect with its essence. I recommend this experience to both those visiting Tangier for the first time and those who wish to discover a different and more authentic perspective of the city. Thank you, Badr, for showing me corners, stories, and details that made Tangier mean so much more to me. There are places that leave a mark due to their beauty, and experiences that become unforgettable because of the people who make them possible.
