Fantastic day! Great food, great guide and driver, Jasmine and Abdul. The camel ride really was great on the beach. I would highly recommend this once in a lifetime experience.

The best experience! Our tour guide Jasmine and driver Abdul were kind, knowledgeable and personable. We enjoyed great food, mint tea, dates with walnuts, and coffee. Anything we wanted. The camel ride on the beach was so enjoyable! Wow! Highly recommend.
Our guide was super friendly and helpful. We corresponded via WhatsApp so that was convenient in helping tailor our day to what we wanted. Here are a few things to note: We had the waiter at the restaurant pick items for us and he chose wonderful dishes (just do it and don't try to choose!!). The meal was part of the tour and included in the price. Second, the camel ride was a hoot and we enjoyed it. However, we literally went down a beach where locals were sunbathing and playing in the ocean. Which we thought was disturbing because the camels would urinate/etc as we walked by the locals. So, we were sort of grossed out and embarrassed. Plus, note that you need to climb (walk) up/down a fairly steep incline to go from the street above to the beach, where the camels were handing out. Which is fine if you're physically able. Third, we chose to go to a textile and spice market. A market is not what we got though. So... we didn't really prepare ourselves for this part and in hindsight we felt like we were taken advantage of a little bit and ended up paying probably WAY too much for 4 Berber rugs (although they are super cool and we love them!!) and some spices/oils. Also, I was envisioning going to an outdoor public market but these were inside buildings and 1 store for rugs and 1 other store for spices/oils (most likely friends of the tour guide/company). So, the presentation in each place was great but I wish the guide had helped us a bit in not getting taken for the high prices we paid for everything. But, I guess you should expect this if you're going to a place like Morocco (barter and research how much these items should cost ahead of time!!!) Regardless, the guide took us around in a sprinter like Amazon AC controlled van. Which I highly recommend due to safety reasons and ease of getting around. We met a lot of his friends and everyone was very happy/nice to us. Oh, and near the end, we stopped in this one little hole in the wall restaurant and the guide ordered a bunch of local dishes (that we were responsible for paying for) and were pleasantly surprised it was all less than $20. There were 4 of us and they served us 10 dishes. Everything was so good!!!! In summary, the day was memorable and we really enjoyed it. It was only marred by part of the shopping experience.
What a great trip! This was our first time visiting Tangier, and it was such a wonderful way to experience the city and learn about its history and culture. Karim did an excellent job organizing our trip. He stayed in contact with us throughout the process and was always available to answer our questions, which made everything so easy. Yasmine was our local guide, and she was fantastic! She was very knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating, making sure to take care of our requests and helping us make the most of our time in Tangier. Both Karim and Yasmine were wonderful, they made a great team!! We truly enjoyed our experience. We would definitely recommend them to anyone visiting Tangier!
Great experience, wish we had more time to enjoy Tanger. Our tour guide Majid is fantastic, his knowledge of Tanger and Morocco is outstanding and his kindness is unrivaled.
We had such a wonderful day exploring Tangier with our guide. From the moment we met him, he was warm, friendly, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. He made the entire experience feel easy, enjoyable, and personal. We explored the lively markets and had the chance to take in all the sights, colours, and atmosphere of Tangier. We also visited the historic Kasbah, which was fascinating, and our guide shared so much interesting information about the city, its history, and Moroccan culture along the way. We stopped at the lighthouse area where the Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea meet, which was a lovely quick photo stop with beautiful views. The absolute highlight of our day was riding camels along the beach. It was such a fun, unique, and unforgettable experience, and something we will always remember from our visit to Morocco. We also enjoyed delicious local food and traditional mint tea, which was a perfect way to experience Moroccan hospitality and culture. Every part of the day was well organized, and we never felt rushed. Our guide was attentive, kind, and happy to answer all of our questions. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Tangier. It was the perfect way to experience the city in one day, and our guide truly made it special. Thank you for an amazing experience!
August 20, 2026 Highly recommend this private tour if you can get the National Tour Guide named Majid and his driver Abdul. Extremely knowledgeable and polite. Every aspect of the tour was outstanding. Very personable, helpful, respectful and patient with family members. National Guide Majid is the best in Morocco and deserves all honors and respect for his high level of historial knowledge, tact and intuitive actions to make the tour more pleasurable. He took us for a wonderful Moroccan breakfast which was like an extra for sure. Of course the Kasbah, Medina and the Camel ride were fantastic. The scenic park overlooking the Mediterranean to start the tour set a very beautiful and positive tone for the rest of the tour. We will return to Tangier some day for sure and we hope to see Majid and Abdul again. Kim S. with family
Abdelmajid, our tour guide, & Karim, the owner of Tangier Patito Tours, went above & beyond to ensure that we had an amazing tour of Tangier. They took us to all of the top spots that we wanted to see in our short time there & catered to our wishes, ie. we wanted extra shopping time in the Medina. They were waiting for us at the port in an air conditioned van with water provided. Abdul, our driver, navigated us through the narrow, curvy streets that we could never have driven on our own. Abdelmajid provided us with interesting history & even guided us to the shops that had exactly what we were looking for. The camels were waiting for us after we ate lunch & the ride on the beach was amazing & longer than expected. Our pictures are incredible & it was truly the trip of a lifetime.
Such a great day trip. Karim and Jasmine are wonderful with communication and in guiding the trip to be individualized to our group.
This was a private tour activity with a local guide. The tour exceeded our expectations; Jasmine, our tour guide, was a delightful person who made us feel welcome in her beautiful country. She was knowledgeable and personable, and her friendliness and enthusiasm made the tour even more memorable. We were taken to a local restaurant for breakfast, which was included. The food was delicious, and the staff were as friendly as Jasmine. Each recommendation led to something unexpectedly good. I would definitely recommend this tour, and don’t forget to ask for Jasmine!
The was very and informative, they were always helpful and asking if we needed anything. I recommend to get with company, I have knee issues and our tour guides Ahmed and Karim were very understanding and didn't make me feel uncomfortable.
We enjoyed our tour with Hamza. He took lots of photos of us and answered all of our questions that we had about the city. We had a very pleasant experience.
It was a wonderful experience! Karim provided all the details ahead of time and Hamza was a fantastic guide. Lots of interesting tidbits and made sure we were comfortable the entire day. Would highly recommend. Great way to see all the highlights in a short period of time.
Our day in Morocco could not have gone better. I highly recommend this tour company. They were easy to communicate with and were very flexible about adjusting to our specific requests. Our tour guide, Jasmine, was fantastic! She was very knowledgeable and engaging. Five star day!
The day was incredibly well-organized, and we truly enjoyed diving into the culture and history. We especially want to highlight Badr, the guide you arranged for us—he was absolutely excellent. Not only was he incredibly warm, friendly, and welcoming, but he was also a wealth of knowledge. He patiently answered all of our questions and made the history come alive. Thank you for putting everything together and making this such a memorable day for us!
Hi Karim, I just wanted to thank you for such a wonderful experience. Badr the guide you arranged for us was excellent, and we had a fantastic time. Everything was very well organized, and we truly enjoyed learning about the culture and history. Thank you for making this such a memorable day!
Fantastic day trip. Karim customized our experience based on what we wanted to do. We took the 9 AM ferry from Tarifa and caught the 4 PM back. This gave us plenty of time for a van tour of the city, a brunch, a camel ride and shopping. Karim is literally the mayor of Tangier — he knows everyone and was able to get us into private showings for specific shopping experiences. He is very knowledgeable about the history and culture of the area, which made our excursion both fun and educational. Would recommend the trip led by Karim to any and everyone.
Tour was good...can do without the market visit at the end of the tour.
Full day in Tangiers, Morocco! Hakim takes care of the ferry and all aspects of the day! His brother, Hamza, showed us all the sights and discussed the history and cultural aspects. It was fun and we learned a great deal about this beautiful country!
It's a glance at Morrocco. If you have never been to Morrocco you will have an idea of the country. Hamza, our tour guide was great and good to talk to. It's a very adaptable visit, we can stay longer in a place we want or decide at the time what we feel like doing. For example, we could chose between going to a fabric store or to an oil store. We wanted to go to a local restaurant and Hamza, our guide, took us to a restaurant where there were only locals eating. We had great memories of that day.
Having never been to Morocco while in Costa De Sol we HAD to catch the quick ferry over to Tangier. Again not knowing who we were hiring, we felt very fortunate to end up in the hands of Karim, his sister Jasmin, and driver Abdul. At first we thought it was going to be a very rushed day, so my wife changed our return to a later time to do more things. But there was no need. It was a fantastic day, never felt rushed, and we hit all the main attractions, several gorgeus mosques, Nafional Park, Hercules cave, Cape Spartel, camel rides by the sea, a lovely elegant brunch, Casbah market, old Medina. . But we did everything on our agenda and still made our earlier ferry time (even after much shopping and stopping for a relaxing afternoon tea/coffee). JASMIN WAS AWESOME, she was a wealth of knowledge and made us feel very welcome, and accomodating to what WE wanted to see, not just their tour agenda. Of course now we want to return to stay at least a week, and hope to hire them again for more local hook up! So happy with Tangier Patito Tours. The day was a seamless and wonderful experience thanks to them!
We had a wonderful day in Tangiers on this tour, and would highly recommend it!! The tour starts with a ferry trip from Tarifa. This process was very smooth, as the tour emailed us a ferry ticket voucher which was easily accepted and off we went! It’s a large ferry, but despite that it was a bit of a choppy journey of about 45 minutes (so be prepared for that, just in case!) We were met by our guide Lina just outside the ferry terminal exit and taken to our van and driver for the day. We covered the new side of Tangiers first, with stops at several sights and viewing points. This included a stop for a light breakfast with some traditional Moroccan food and drink. Lina had a great recommendation on what to order and we followed it, and it was yummy!! I would ask your guide for what you should try. We opted into doing the camel ride on the beach! It was fun, something we had never experienced! Try it out if you are even a bit adventurous- it was not scary in case you were worried! We then headed over to the old town area, and changed from driving to walking to cover this area. We again saw numerous key sites and walked through the market. Lina asked us what we would want to see in the market and tailored our walking path to see those items only. We ended our tour with another stop for food, which we again followed Lina’s recommendation and were so happy we did as it was delicious and a wonderful end to the tour in Morocco. We then boarded the ferry and returned to Spain; this time the waters were more friendly and it was a smooth crossing! Overall, it was a full day- we left our hotel at 8 and returned at 6. Note that you must arrive at their ferry at least 45 minutes ahead of departure and also that there was a 1 hour time change between Spain and Morocco. I also must highly recommend Lina as a tour guide! She is very knowledgeable, friendly, and easy to chat with— all so important when you send a full day together! She also was great at tailoring our tour stops and market visit to our interests. Five stars for Lina! Also, five stars for our key tour contact, Karim. He was very communicative, reaching out several times prior to our trip just to check in with us, which was appreciated! But most of all, he did a wonderful job helping us out when I found I had made a mistake in booking - he went above and beyond to help us make sure our tour happened!! Five stars (okay six stars!!) for Karim!!! Overall, we highly recommend this tour!! It’s the perfect one-day exposure to Morocco and Tangiers, run by an efficient, well prepared, friendly and professional tour operator!!
Our tour of Tangier from Tarifa was excellent. The arrangements for the ferry were easy to follow. Our tour guide Hamza met us at the port where we boarded our private van driven by Moe, who is a very good driver. We saw many sites of the city, rode camels on the beach, did some shopping and had breakfast and lunch. The tour was tailored to what we wanted to do so for our food and for our shopping we were directed to places that would be best for us. Hamza was an excellent tour guide providing us with much information and answering all our questions. We highly recommend this tour.
We had a very nice time with Jasmine, Karim’s sister. This seems to be a small family business. It was not cheap, but the two of us had a private tour in a nice, clean Mercedes sprinter van. The meal was not included which I failed to notice. It was clearly stated in the description, so that’s on me. The food was delicious and abundant in a pleasant, very clean environment. None of the stomach issues I’ve heard about from eating Karim was very good about checking in with us leading up to the trip and keeping us informed.
Our experience with Tangier Patito Tours and Karim was outstanding from start to finish. Being picked up right at the dock made everything seamless and stress-free, and it set the tone for a highly personal, well-curated tour. The drive around Tangier gave us a real sense of the city’s diversity—its rich blend of cultures and religions was both fascinating and eye-opening. One of the most memorable moments was the camel ride along the beach, right next to the crashing surf—truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The highlight, though, was our walk through the maze-like medina and all of the souks. Karim guided us with ease, sharing insights and stories that brought the history and energy of the place to life. Karim’s knowledge, professionalism, and genuine hospitality made this tour unforgettable. We couldn’t recommend Tangier Patito Tours more highly.
Hamza met us with a sign at the port just as Karim said he would. We were walked through the entire process of customs, boarding the ferry, and meeting Hamza via WhatsApp which made it very convenient since I have the app and use it for foreign travel. We were reluctant to book an all day trip but are glad we did. My wife and I were treated with the utmosts respect the entire time. We were the only two the guys had for the day and we were constantly asked what we would like to do next and if we were having a good time. Not at any time did we feel rush during this trip, my wife gets side traced picture taking sometimes and we were given every opportunity we wanted for photos. we are both nature people and enjoy trees, plants, and flowers, Hamza was very knowledgeable about the local vegetation and afforded us plenty of time to walk in the parks. The food was excellent at both places we tried and we highly recommend. The Hercules caves are a must. The culture experience and knowledge gained from this trip was amazing. PS if you’re on the fence about the camel ride just do it, it was great. The camel jockey actually stopped and picked up a seashell after I had pointed to it showing it to my wife, the entire trip back he probably handed her five different seashells after finding out she collects rocks and shells. Oh, one more thing, these guys are excellent photographers.
My experience was amazing. I went with Hamza on the tour, and he did so much to make sure that everything was great. I felt very safe the whole time and explored so much of Tangier, all while on the tour by myself! Very communicative, informative, and friendly. I highly recommend.
Karim and Yasmin were just wonderful. They handled all the logistics of the ferry, including when to go and return. Yasmin provided an awesome tour! We especially loved the breakfast they arranged for us, even though it was Ramadan. Yasmin took us to the medina to see all the shops, which were wonderful too. They provide an awesome, complete experience, including a safe driver (Abdul) and a modern, clean vehicle.
Everything you would want in a private tour experience. Amazing communication before, during and after the day. Full day of sightseeing, lovely Moroccan breakfast, met a the ferry upon arrival and escorted right back when completed.
Karin was a great guide. We loved learning about the culture, and of course, riding the camels. Great day in Tangier.
Within minutes of booking this online, Karim reached out in WhatsApp. From there, his communication was outstanding and all details provided to get me on my way the next morning. His sister Jasmine met me at the Port in Tangier, and we set off with our driver Ahmed for an amazing afternoon exploring this beautiful city and the surrounding sites. The city is very lush and green, the vistas ftom the hilltops breathtaking, the beaches stunning, and the Casbah and Medina are other-worldly. The camel ride was a hoot, especially the climb back up from the beach! Jasmine is a lovely, warm young woman, born and raised in this city, and a very knowledgeablel host. I highly recommend this tour, most especially because Karim is truly focused on ensuring an outstanding experience. He takes customer service to the top level!
Like a lot of folks, we had some trepidation with all of the things that go into a ferry trip to another country with young(er) children. We booked last minute and chose Karim based on the outstanding reviews we read here. Karim did not disappoint! He and his driver Abdul (they even made the LA Laker reference) handled everything - from the moment we booked, Karim was in contact (making us feel assured about the decision), then we stepped off the boat, Karim was there, into our own van, and at the end, making sure we got back to the port on time (which was always a nerve wracking thought since weather was scheduled to get worse later that night). And along the way, we got memories forever - driving tour of the city of Tangier with fun, useful and interesting commentary. Camel ride, delicious lunch served by the nicest people, warthog sighting, the chance to visit a mosque and learn even more about the Islamic culture, snake charmer, and a walking tour weaving through the old town and market - neat little shops off the beaten path with chances to purchase anything you would want (without the hard sell!) If you’re debating this trip, don’t. If you’re looking for the best guide, go with Karim. He runs the business with his family (we met his sister a few times as she led her own tour). Wonderful wonderful people.
It's a wonderful way to learn about a fascinating place. We enjoyed ourselves and feel lucky to have experienced it with a well-run tour.
Very good! The tour operators are very friendly and accommodating. You get to see everything and have time to relax.
US family of 5 (teenagers) had a super fun day trip to visit Tangier, Morocco. Booking was easy thru TripAdvisor. Karim from Tangier Tours provided all details, food questions, and tour options via WhatsApp ahead of our visit including ferry tickets and the process of crossing. We had a car and parking was easy right by the terminal in Tarif. Ferry crossing was easy to navigate and our guide Jasmine met us at the Tangier port. Had a great day - camel rides, delicious Moroccan brunch, visit to Hercules cave, and walking the markets in the Medina ending with a tasty sampling of dates with nuts. Great day trip - would highly recommend!
An amazing day in Tangier! 5/5 for this experience- Karim was a fantastic communicator from the moment we booked and made sure we had all the information we needed to get there. Our tour guide was Yasmine who was so knowledgeable and accommodating; she introduced us to traditional Moroccan food for brunch and she knew the perfect mix of being at our side at some times and leaving us on our own at others. The camel ride was a fun and one of a kind experience as well- the weather didn’t cooperate (rainy season) but we managed to still enjoy seeing the caves of Hercules and the point where the Atlantic and Mediterranean meet- All in all it was a wonderful tour and I would strongly recommend to anyone!
Majid was our guide and he was excellent. Very knowledgeable about the area and gave us a great tour around the city and to the markets! The camel ride was a great experience as well, it was very beautiful next to the ocean. We also had our own private car.
Epic day! We had the most amazing time and saw so much of Tangier with our fun, friendly guide and driver. I felt safe and comfortable like we were old family coming home. We learned so much about the history and culture of Morocco and Tangier. We were able to pick and choose what we wanted to do and see and adjust as we went along. Thank you Karim!
I would definitely recommend this for people looking to do a quick trip to Morocco but not wanting to use more than a day away from Spain (other other parts of their trip). We hit several great spots for photos, got a great breakfast right on the coast, got to hit the shops of our choosing in the city, and of course, enjoyed the highlight of the trip, which was the camel rides. A great way to spend a day, if you have the time.
A wonderful overview of Tanjiers, culminating in a camel ride on the beach. Jasmine, our guide, and Mohammed our driver were the best.
We booked the 8 hr tour. Our guide was Karim. He was very personable and made us feel right at home. He explain everything very thoroughly and gave great insights to the culture and customs. Everything was seamless from the ferry ride to shopping. We all had a fantastic time. We HIGHLY recommend this tour!
We had a great day trip to Tangier! This was a last minute trip and Karim was so great at accommodating us at such short notice. We were met with a very welcoming guide, Majid. He was AMAZING. He treated us like family. We had a very nice private van touring us around. He showed us everything we wanted to see and then took us on an authentic Moroccan shopping experience. It was nice to have him with us as the bartering with the shop keepers can be a challenge if you’re not used to it. Our group ranged from 7-67 and we all had a great time. I would recommend this tour to anyone!
We were given excellent instructions with our roundtrip tickets for the ferry from Tarifa and our guide met us at the port in Tangier. The process was simple enough and easy to follow with a passport check at the port of Tarifa and another on board the ferry. Once in Tangier, local history and culture was explained as we drove through the city, making stops along the way, then a delicious breakfast was provided at a local restaurant with a great selection of food to try. We then headed down to our camel ride along the beach, which was an interesting and unforgettable experience. The camels are very sweet. We then headed to the Casbah to learn more history and do some shopping in the Medina section. It was beautiful and amazing. We ended with an incredible lunch that will be tough to top (not included in the price of the tour). Delicious!! We were then dropped back at the port to head back on the ferry. Process is even simpler on the way back to Spain. Our guide was such a joy…friendly, informative and a pleasure to be around. We really enjoyed our short visit to Tangier! Be certain to bring some cash for tipping and shopping.
I traveled to Tangier with my sister today and we had the most incredible experience with Tangier Patito Tours. Karin was kind, helpful, professional and went above and beyond to make sure our trip was a success. Majid, our guide was super knowledgeable and funny making this one of the best trips ever. Highly recommend them, can't wait to be back! Thank you!
We loved our guide Jasmin! She knew her city well, gave us breaks when we needed them and took us to very scenic viewpoints! Karin (her brother) started communicating with me 5 days prior on WhatsApp. The ferry tickets were easy to get at the terminal and they asked if we wanted return tickets issued there. Much easier to get tickets in Spain! The breakfast was on a beautiful vantage point at strait of Gibraltar. It was traditional and delicious; I do recommend for future clients they mention brunch included and heavy so you save space. I wasn’t as impressed with the dinner service or food, but the restaurant was clean in the Kasbah market area. We were more interested in spices and oils in the market so that was the focus of the market tour. Camel guide was wonderful and overall a great experience!
If you only have one doy to spend in Morocco, this is the way to go. Jasmine, our guide, was pleasant to be with ,very knowledgeable, and passionate about Tangier and Morocco. We got a very good overview of Tangier including experiencing a traditional breakfast in a beautiful location, touring various neighborhoods, snake charmer at the Kasbah , a tour through the Medina and a camel ride on the beach. The van was clean and very comfortable. I would highly recommend this tour.
This was a great overview of the City of Tangier and Morocco. It made me want to visit other cities in Morocco as well. The instructions for riding the ferry--including details regarding the immigration process were very helpful. We parked at the Port of Tarifa and had no issues getting to the pick-up point in Tangier. Our guide, Majid, was very knowledgeable about the history of the area and provided us with ample time for meals, site seeing and of course the camel ride! We had breakfast (included) at a nice restaurant overlooking the sea. It was very good--I wish I hadn't eaten a muffin on the ferry!! Loved this tour!!
Karim was an amazing tour guide. He was very knowledgeable about the city and its history. We got off to a rough start in Tarifa but he was so flexible and accommodating to our problem and worked around it to show us an unforgettable experience. I would recommend him as the only tour guide to use. He made us feel like family
I am so glad we decided to do this tour. We saw so much more of Tangier with Abu than we could have ever seen on our own. He helped us navigate the maze of streets and helped us order food and made us feel very safe. Was worth every single penny.
A great day in Tangier! We learned a lot of history from our host, Karim and got to see many parts of the city which was beautiful.
