The driver was waiting for us at the airport exit. He was courteous and helpful and brought us safely to our destination.

Saeed was an outstanding driver. He met me on time, and used his excellent driving skills to deliver me to my hotel.

It was super easy. The driver has my name on a sign and waiting for us right after customs so no way to miss us. He even took us to an atm machine at a nearby gas station when the one at the airport didn’t work.

My driver wasn't in the arrivals hall when I landed which was quite a stressful experience. I wasn't given a specific driver's contact details in advance so was a bit of a panic to get hold of the company. I managed to get hold of the driver about 15 minutes later and he gave me directions to find him in the car park which wasn't ideal.

Basically Taxis in Tangiers are either blue or beige. The car brand is Dacia Logan for the blue and Dacia Lodgy for the beige. Lot of Dacias driving around here. Some work with meters to calculate the fare but often it is a question of negotiation. The blue ones tend to be from the Petit company and are more reasonable, the beige ones from the Grand company will over charge tourists and ask 5 times the local rate when asked. The blue ones charge about 1 dollar/10 Dirham for 2 km. For an Airport transfer there actually is a price list on a sign at the curb after you exit arrivals. There is a day and a night rate. My experience is you check the price with the driver before getting in the cab or check that he actually works by a meter.

A generally smooth and professional transfer, only thing that brings it down from 5 stars is that we had to wait for around 5-10 mins outside the terminal, as they'd mistimed their previous job. (We had shared whatsapp updates as we passed through passport control etc)

Muhammed was supposed to be our driver but he was stucked in the road block between Tangier and Rabat so he messages me through WhatsApp and sent his cousin Alie to pick us up. Alie is a very young guy, showed up on time as promised. We had a great conversation along the way to the airport. Highly recommend his service.

We booked our taxi from Tangier airport into the city on Viator and on arrival at the airport I received a WhatsApp message from Mohammed informing me that our driver Yousouf was at the airport waiting for us. Despite our flight being delayed, there he was ready to take our bags to the car and whisk us into town.
