Mohamed is very knowledgable and welcoming. I would recommend for a great small group personal tour all around Tanger.

Mohammed met us at our hotel and took us on a cultural and historic tour through the old part of Tangier, highlighting the multinational influences that shaped this lovely city. He’s a very proud Moroccan and loves to show off his city. We were so pleased with this tour that we booked him again today to take us to Hercules Caves on the Atlantic Ocean side. His tours are fully customizable and you don’t have to prepay for museums and other activities charged by other tour operators. We highly recommend Mr. Mohammed and Sunlight Company.
Mr. Mohamed is a dedicated and knowledgeable person who will guide you with his extensive experience on how to visit beautiful places in Morocco.
Mohamed was an excellent tour guide and went above and beyond by waiting over 4 hours for us as we were delayed in getting to Tangier. He worked late into the night to show us the wonderful highlights of the city. He is well spoken and highly educated and shared interesting history with us. Thank you, Mohamed!
Very interesting & a lot of information given. We brought a beautiful carpet along the way & Mohamed waited patiently while we negotiated the price
We were picked up by El Ouardi Mohamed at the cruise port in private car. He first took us around a beautiful public park and surrounding area and then we did a walking tour of the Kasbah, the Medina, the petite Socco and the US Legation Museum. Mohamed was extremely knowledgeable and told us alot interesting information about Morocco’s past and current history. It was a fabulous tour and we learned so much about Tangier and Morocco and the culture and religions. Highly recommend! Denice & Randy Hughes
With superguide Mohamed I went on the Tanger walking tour. To my surprise I was the only one so the tour could be adjusted to my interests. Mohamed is not only a highy educated (university grade in English) guide but also knows everything about this beautiful city. I liked also that during our walk he met lots of acquaintances and we had interesting chats on lots of subjects. He led us to a nice tea-house and a nice place for a lunch, both in beautiful riads. Overall: highly recommended!!
The tour guide we had booked was not available on the day so he sent another guide - Hicham. The sum total of what we learnt on the tour was that the Portugese built a number of the walls; a lot of houses are painted blue; and Tangier has a number of old fig trees . We learnt nothing about culture and way of life of the Moroccan people, Hicham initially spent time showing us all the wonderful reviews he'd had and then seemed pretty disinterested for the rest of the morning. Maybe we caught him on an off day
We scheduled our walking tour and the day that we got there it was raining like crazy. Muhammad transitioned to a car tour with no additional expense. He seemed to know everyone and really listened about what we would like to do. Will use him again when we return to Morocco.
Mohammed was so knowledgeable about Tangier history and landmarks. The tour has a lot of flexibility also. It was both a riding tour to Hercules Cave as well as a walking tour through the Casbah and Old City. Weather was wonderful and we took a lot of photos
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Tangier. We arrived on a Sunday at 9 am and Ahmed was at the pier on time and very easy to find. He was friendly, knowledgeable, accommodating and clearly well respected in his community as he was greeted by numerous locals, many of whom told us we were “in good hands”. As we arrived early before the market opened, he took us on a hike through a wooded area with panoramic views of the sea, no tourists there just local families enjoying a beautiful day. I’d recommend going on a Sunday which is market day in Tangier. Many of the countryside citizens come in on Sunday and sell wonderful produce and handmade crafts. Our tour guide took us the best dates we’ve ever eaten! Took us to a fabulous restaurant which was delicious. We decided we wanted to take the afternoon and stroll on our own which our guide respected although we would have happily spent the day with us. Our guide made this a fabulous experience for us, I would recommend him without hesitation and wish him the best of luck in all things. thank you Ahmed!
Great tour of local places, beautiful sites and wonderful guide! The food is delicious and fresh and nice bargains in Medina. Highly recommend!!
Mohammed is an amazing guide! He is very patient and informative and he speaks multiple languages with ease (English, Arabic, Spanish, French, etc). Very punctual - he arrived early and on time both days we toured with him. He showed us the true Moroccan experience and paced the tour very nicely. We did two tours with him: one of Tangiers (Hercules caves, Kasbah, Cap Spartel, etc) and a day trip from Tangiers to Tetouan and Chefchaouen. Both of them were excellent and relaxing and we learned a lot!!! I am definitely going to book him again once I return with my family.
Mohammad is a great guide. He showed me Tangier old town and the kasbah. Very knowledgeable on the subject. Highly recommended.
I have arrived to Tangier, with my family via fast ferry from Tarifa to Tangiers. We have decided to hire the services of Mohamed as our Moroccan travel guide in the city of Tangier. He has demonstrated exceptional and wonderful English Language skills: explaining about Moroccan history, culture, tradition, and heritage. Mohamed is also a great professional in taking photographs, because he took plenty of beautiful and well-shot pictures for us, and he made our walking tour of Tangier awesome and splendid. He took us to Dada Restaurant in the old Medina, where we had the best of Moroccan foods, especially Couscous, Tagine, and barbecued meat. Mohamed is an MA Degree holder in English Language and Literature, besides, he is reputable in that everybody respects him and people nickname him The Teacher, We highly recommend him for anybody, who is wishing to discover Tangier as well the rest of the country. Mohamed is licensed as a national Tour Guide of Morocco. He has the right to work as local and also a national travel guide of Morocco. Kindly look no further than Mohamed, when it comes to hiring a professional guide, that is to say, he surpassed our expectations, and thus he made our day in Tangier, Morocco.
★★★★★ Mohammed was an outstanding tour guide in Tangier. His deep knowledge of the city's history and culture, combined with his engaging storytelling, made our tour truly memorable. He was professional, friendly, and attentive to our family's interests, ensuring we all had a fantastic experience. Highly recommend!
Very good tour and very knowledgeable tour guide. He had good understanding of the history and geography of the place. He was patient with us and also took plenty of pictures whenever we wanted.
Tangier Walking Tour felt like walking in the footsteps of legends. From the iconic Grand Socco to the American Legation Museum, each stop had a story to tell. The guide's passion for Tangier's history and its connection to famous writers and artists was contagious. This tour is a poetic journey that brings the city's fascinating past to life, making it a memorable experience for literature and history enthusiasts alike
Tangier's bustling streets can be chaotic, but this walking tour turned that chaos into charm. Our guide skillfully navigated us through the lively markets and crowded alleys, providing a sense of security while allowing us to absorb the city's energy.
Beyond the historical landmarks, the Tangier walking tour surprised us with tantalizing tastes. Our guide led us to local eateries, introducing us to the flavors of Moroccan cuisine. The food stops added a delightful culinary dimension to the tour. If you're a food enthusiast, this experience offers a perfect blend of history and gastronomy.
The Tangier walking tour was a cultural kaleidoscope, offering glimpses into the city's diverse heritage. From the medina's ancient architecture to the vibrant street art, every corner held a piece of Tangier's identity. The guide's passion for the city's history and culture was contagious, making this tour a must for those seeking an authentic and immersive experienc
Our guide shared captivating stories and historical tidbits, enhancing the experience. While the pace was enjoyable for most, it might be a bit brisk for some, so wear comfortable shoes. Overall, a fantastic way to immerse yourself in the heart of Tangier and learn about its past and present.
My experience on the Tangier walking tour was nothing short of magical! The guide led us through the city's narrow and winding streets, unveiling its rich history and vibrant culture. From crowded markets to hidden gems, every step was filled with new discoveries. Personal attention and informative narration make this tour an unforgettable journey into the spirit of Tangier.
The booked tour (vehicle with air conditioning, German-speaking guide, museum visits incl. admission) was cancelled the night before due to lack of German-speaking guide and then became a walking tour... Our luck, because the Moroccan (English speaking) guide Hanae was a dream and took us to corners that we probably would not have seen and experienced by car. Hanae, with her lovable personality and extensive knowledge, taught us a lot about the country and people as well as Moroccan culture, not least over tea and pastries in a great tea room. Thank you Hana - you are the best and were great!
The pickup was made at the hotel and we continued with our tour. The Guide spoke Spanish very well. He started by talking a little about the city of Tangier and always explained very well. Then we picked up a transport and went to the highest part of the fortress, we had excellent views of Tangier Maritime Port. We went down to the center of Medina and took us to some shops one of them served us a delicious Moroccan tea. We are not obliged to always buy very friendly. I really liked the walk.
