Great excursion for the short highlights! We booked this tour since we were in Tangier for a day on a cruise ship and we had plenty of time to get there and get back. The tour was about 3 hours, you had time on your own at both the caves and Cap Spartel, they’re not guided stops. You also need about 130 dirhams each total for the two stops to get in, cash only. We enjoyed the camel ride, it was about 5-10 minutes on the camels which was plenty of time. We did feel the camels looked a little tired of back to back rides with tourists, but some other camels were resting up the hill from the beach so hopefully they work in shifts. Overall great communication and Ayoud was a great guide driving us around!

AC in the van was not strong enough. Camel ride was fun. The driver dropped us 2 Km from the ship! We were not aware that the Hercules Cave requires cash in local currency.
This was such an informative tour. Our guide was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Hands down one of the best experiences of my life.
Tour covered the caves and camel ride. Omar did a good job of giving us some history on some of the sites and getting us back to our cruise ship on time.
Great experience. The camel ride on the beach was amazing. Got to see a lot of things I wouldn’t of done by myself from Tangier.
It was very nice with our guide Youssef Best expierience, I will recomand this!!
We had an amazing experience today! Everything was very well organized, comfortable, and simply perfect from start to finish. Youssef was the perfect guide — full of energy, kind, trustworthy, and genuinely a wonderful person. He explained everything so clearly and in a way that was easy for everyone to understand, from the history and culture of the places we visited to interesting things we should know about Tangier. He made us feel comfortable, welcome, and truly made the whole experience even more enjoyable. You can tell that Youssef is a very good and genuine person who really cares about making his guests feel great. We are very happy with today’s experience and would definitely recommend this tour, especially with Youssef as a guide. If we have the opportunity to come back to Tangier, we will absolutely choose this company again. Thank you so much, Youssef, for making our day so special! ❤️🇲🇦
The whole experience was a scam. The company knew that stopping for 30 minutes at each location wasn't enough time to see the sites. Each location took more than 30 minutes just to buy your tickets. So everyone in our group paid to drive to location where we saw nothing.
Proffesional, kind and friendly guide. We were very happy with our guide - Ali. In addition to sightseeing, we could also ask for some useful tips that are good to know as tourists in Tangier.
Medhi was early to arrival sight, very knowledgeable and accommodating. Best tour for the value and the camel experience was great!
This was a fun and thorough tour, with plenty of opportunities for great photos. Yousef was a wonderful guide, keeping us entertained and informed. We had a lovely, friendly group, and I really enjoyed seeing more of the city!
Very good and Youseff is a great guide. We had a lot of fun.
Nice Trip to see Tangier and to ride camels on the beach. Stops at the various sites were short so opportunities to explore were very brief. Our driver was very pleasant and accommodating during the drive from site to site.
It was fantastic. Caves not so impressive but our tour guide Ayou was patient and gave us a bit of history on the way. Camel ride in the beach was a blast. Make sure you get videos. Pics are just not enough. We came from Florida and have been to two continents in the same day. Great experience with this Tour company. We felt safe every minute.
The sites we went to were great. Both the caves and Cap Spartel are worth it. We passed on the camel ride but did walk down the beach a bit. Bring dirham if at all possible. It will save you headaches. They only take dirham at the caves. Refuse to be handed off if you choose to be dropped off at the market. They will take you where they want you to go and not where YOU want to go. We were told these men "worked with the company." And the market isn't part of the tour. That felt icky. We were asked for tips for the "Included" bottle of water. Just know the price is worth being driven to the sites.
Youness is a great tour guide with a lot of enthusiasm. He balances keeping things moving as a group, while having time to explore. He is engaged and funny and makes sure that everyone is included while speaking multiple languages.
Probably cheaper than a taxi but it’s simply a ride with time limits to explore. The camels were cute but my experience was greatly dampened by the rain that came out of nowhere. Make sure you go on a sunny day with no chance of rain! They allowed about 30 minutes each location which was enough time for me but maybe not for others.
This was a wonderful excursion. We went to a few sites and was given time to roam around. My favorite was the camel ride on the beach. Our guide was great. He took us to a few locations for pictures and even gave us a small memento of the trip.
We had a lovely trip with Xauen Tours to Cap Spartel and Hercules Cave. Everything was well organised, ran smoothly, and our driver Mohammed was friendly, professional, and made the journey very enjoyable. Just to note for future visitors, the extra entrance fees are paid at the attractions themselves, not to the tour company. At Hercules Cave, we were charged 80 dirhams each for entry, and from what we saw there was only one cave open to visit. Also, if you would like to go up to the Cap Spartel lighthouse, there is an additional fee to enter. Overall, it was still a very enjoyable and well-organised trip.
A great tour! Visited many key spots in Tangier and our guide, Youssef was very informative, friendly and went the extra mile! Would definitely recommend
We booked this excursion last minute (9 pm the night before for a 9 am tour) and the company texted us immediately to arrange pick-up. They went above and beyond to ensure we could still do the tour despite our ferry getting in at 9 am. Both our tour guide, Muhammad, and the tour company kept up constant communication the morning of to ensure we knew exactly where to go for pick up and have a timely departure. Although the sites we saw on the tour were great, the true star was Muhammad. From start to finish he was a wealth of knowledge and engaging. He also ensured us and the other couple we traveled with were well taken care of and enjoyed the trip.
We had an amazing experience with our tour driver , Nizar. He was incredibly kind, punctual, and professional from start to finish. He picked us up right on time and made the whole journey smooth and enjoyable. Along the way, he stopped at some beautiful spots for photos and shared lots of interesting information that made the trip even more special. You can really tell he cares about giving his guests a great experience. We highly recommend him to anyone looking for a memorable tour!
Your was scenic, interesting and worth the $. The tour guide was knowledgeable and went out of his way to make everyone comfortable.
Nizar was a fantastic host. Pickup was so convenient outside my hotel, and he drove us through some beautiful parts of Tangier. Bring cash for access to caves and Cap Spartel (small bills…20s, 50s, maybe 100s if a few people are paying together). We lucked out with sunny, cool weather. Rare for January, apparently. Bring a snack, or have a big meal prior.
Mohamed was an amazing tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and truly provided an enjoyable experience. His flexibility for pick up and drop off made for a seamless and enjoyable tour. The spots were beautiful and the camel ride was so much fun! Would 10/10 recommend.
While we essentially did have the experience as described - we stopped at Cap Spartel, Hercules Cave, and had a camel ride - we were disappointed in that our guide Younes really turned out to just be a driver from location to location. The description said our "tour language" would be in English, but Younes had a *very* limited English vocabulary . . . based on similar tours we've taken, we were anticipating that more information would be provided by our guide as we made our way through Tangier. He was pleasant and came across as friendly, but if you're looking for narration on what you're seeing, then select an alternative to Xauen Tours. The view from Cap Spartel was great. I wouldn't feel a need to see Hercules Cave again, particularly with the additional fee for entry (note - cash only). The camel ride itself was a lot of fun and a super memorable experience for my family, but the operators on the beach were obnoxious. They let other groups of the same size jump ahead of ours (I'm pretty sure I saw another group's guide slip some money to get their group ahead of our), initially wanted to split up our group of four when there was no need to do so . . . our guide needed to be more assertive, and it kinda felt like they were hazing him a bit by putting him off in favor of other guides.
The camel ride was the highlight of the tour ! The city was also excellent! There was a total disconnect between booking, the driver and our start time . Once we got past that the improved greatly. The beginning needs much improvement as it’s not the best way to start the tour .
The guide’s van was clean and comfortable. The guide was very polite and stopped when we wanted to take pictures. We felt we had a very comprehensive tour of Tangier. The camel ride was fun. It was about 20 minutes long but a sufficient time to enjoy riding a camel and not being too sore afterwards. We also saw the Hercules cave, the lighthouse and the downtown area.
The driver drove us but had little information, he pointed and told us where to go but didn’t take us to the places and guide us. It was raining so I checked before if the trip would go ahead, he said yes, half way through I asked if we would do the camel ride he said yes. An hour early he dropped me back at the meet point telling me the trip was over with no camel ride and no apology. I would like a refund for this trip which was way over priced.
This was an amazing excursion for rhe day. The lighthouse . Hercules cave , camel ride and a very informative walking tour of the city filled our day with enough time to get on our cruise ship. Both the tour guides were exceptional and took the time to explain about regions and answer questions We learned so much!
Omar was an excellent guide. Prompt pick up from cruise port. great stops and views of city and gardens. Camel ride on beach was a memorable experience. Would highly recommend. Pleasantly surprised with Tangier after visiting disappointing Casablanca.
The overall experience was good. Riding the camels was a highlight. The only thing that could have been better is that our guide was a little lazy. He dropped us off at events and didn't go in with us to explain things.
The driver was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, enthusiastic about his job and entertaining. I enjoyed my time and had a great time
Great excursion and good value. We shipped around and found this one for less than similar ones for much more.
Don't book with this operator. Very disorganized. Traveling to a foreign country is stressful and looking for a professional operator is important. This Shore excursion started off rough when it was difficult to find the operator in a sea of operators. A point person who speaks fluent English should have met us at the front end of the exit and guided us to the lot where the van is parked. If English is difficult, then a sign with guests names should be held or the guides name so that we can identify the guide. Chaos just trying to find the van! Then, we wasted almost an hour in front of a bank so that we could exchange currency for part of the excursion! Why not just charge an additional $5 dollars and provide the tickets?! Or, if we the guest didn't read the fine print, too bad for us, but don't waste time in front of a bank! We finally get to the 3 destinations but the driver/guide gave no history because his English was not fluent and really a driver and NOT a guide. When we asked to be driven back to the port, he made a pit stop to pick up at least 12 new guests im the old city! The van couldn't even accommodate these new guests so they had to stand! Just ridiculous! Glad we made it safely back to the ship!
We had a wonderful outing with Mohammed of Xuan Tours. He gave a great description of all the high points of interest through the city. We had ample time to explore each stop and he was prompt and an excellent driver. We saw many places in a short time and all very interesting stories from Mohammed.
Prepare yourself for a very unique place. The countryside is stunning, the city is bustling, the caves are beautiful. The host was kind and welcoming, the beach camel ride is something I will never forget!!
Fun experience, you see A bit of the old town and new town as well as lots of great views and photo spots. Caves were really cool. Riding camels on the beach was a fun and unique experience. Mohammed was a great driver and tour guide. Great value for the cost!
The directions for pick up were confusing. The company responded immediately after I made the reservation. They provided GPS coordinates. Being technology challenged this was no help. Walk towards the mosque. It's the parking lot on the left where the blue taxi's are. Wear bright colors to help the driver spot you. Normally I would not give a 5 star but the communication and the rest of the tour was spectacular. One of the group was in a wheelchair. The driver was exceptionally helpful and patient.
Everything was going well until the end when he passed us off to another guide and we were herded to shops we weren’t interested in and a 35 dollar “unexpected lunch “. We thought we had free time to eat and shop on our own. Not herded into the stores and pushy presentations they chose for us. None of us got the opportunity to buy our souvenirs, etc. The camel ride was AWESOME though
Driver was over 30 minutes late to pick us up at the beginning of the tour. He was also late at other stops. The camel ride was nice but the tour as a whole was subpar
Youseff was super enthusiastic and informative. I would recommend him. The camel ride was the highlight. Cave costs extra $. 👎
The tour was very good. I had a great time seeing some of the most iconic locations of tangier. Our tour guide was superb and very nice. Very good
Little concern about meeting place but found our ride eventually. Ali was very nice, good driver. Not too talkative about areas we were driving through but fine. Some nice views, Hercules cave needed dirham to pay but worth seeing. Ride on camels was fun to do.
Was a wonderful excursion riding camels on the beach. Driver is very good! My camel Sammy was the best! I would recommend this to friends and family.
More fun than I ever imagined. Beautiful spot great view. The camel ride guide was pleasant and helpful. Camels were gentle and I enjoyed petting them and learning their names. Our driver was pleasant and on time. Having to walk outside of the port area to meet up with our driver was inconvenient.
We found out during the tour that the driver was new. He did not speak English very well. We would have liked to learn more about the Moroccan culture during the tour. We thought Hercules Cave was included in the tour. It cost extra to actually go into it. That was not described when we signed up for the tour. The camel ride was a highlight. One of our friends did not participate in the camel ride. He fell going up the stairs causing some bleeding on his shin. The driver was very good with him, cleaning his wound and filling out a report.
The cameo ride was the highlight of our day! Something we will surely remember! Our driver was great and narrated our whole trip! The caves of Hercules admission was an added fee…about 8 E each! Not worth walking in for 10 minutes Additionally, Cap Spartel required an admission fee as well…viewing from below provided us with a lovely view!
One of the cheapest excursions I've ever been on, and definitely a fun experience! For the price, you can't beat this tour. We took a day trip to Tangier, and our guide, Mr Othman, was very knowledgeable and extremely personable. The camel ride on the beach was fantastic, and the entire time, Mr Othman made sure to let us know that he was in no hurry and we could take as much time as we wanted. Definitely a terrific way to see Tangier for the first time.
Excel y service with Youseff, very friendly and short trip was on time and fun. Enough time to enjoy all the activities. !
