From Tangier: Asilah; Cap Spartel & Camel Ride

Azziz (Not sure how to spell it) the guide in Asilah, was outstanding!! He explained everything with patience, detailed and also takes great pictures. Just for him I rate high the rest was not bad, but not extraordinary, it was just transportations to the spots, but the time spent in Asilah made it worth it.

I mean he brought the energy from the very beginning. He told us lots of history about Morocco, shared delicious chocolates, gave us water and extra time to shop in Assilah! Everyone was also very friendly and energetic from how Youssef was so kind and inclusive. I wouldn’t trade this fun, knowledgeable, and exciting experience for any other tour!

You must confirm the language spoken by the guests. Some didn't speak much English and that made it difficult for everyone to understand. This was more of an accompanied exposure. This was not a tour filled with historical information.

We booked a private tour but it was actually a group tour. Only 1 other guest in van but we met another group for tour of Asilah. That portion of tour felt rushed but our guide was friendly. Our driver was very nice but not a guide. We got minimal information and no history of what we were seeing. Hercules cave was very disappointing, not as shown.

There were 7 of us in the group of family and friends, all 60+, and this tour was arranged hastily after a change of itinerary on our cruise. We were met by Nizar who was both our driver and guide. He was extremely pleasant and attentive and allowed us to tailor our tour to our preferences. He first took us to Cap Spartel past various views and sights which he explained as we went. We went past one of the King of Morocco’s palaces and views of the old town and new. After a brief stop at a little market we went on to a camel ride along a beach which was great fun. We then went on to the Hercules Caves. Again a nice little market and cafe but the caves themselves a little disappointing. From there we drove on to Assilah were Nizar took us to a lovely restaurant for lunch. After lunch Nizar introduced us to our guide for the Medina, who gave us a great history and tour. Unfortunately it was Friday prayer day so a lot of the shops were closed. However, the views of the coast were wonderful. Nizar then took us back to the port with a stop or two for photos. A great day with an excellent guide in a very comfortable vehicle. Well worth every penny!

Excellent tour with Hamza; with great communication skills and knowledge of the itinerary we visited. Safe and reliable driving, on time and very professional & courteous. Would definitely recommend !!

Stay away. Basically our guide was just a taxi driver. Offered No information about sites. Dropped us off at locations and passed us off on his cohorts for more tips. At the end of the tour which was 1 1/2 hours shorter than advertised. His partners were waiting and demanding more tips. Extremely aggressive. Couldn’t wait to get back to the Ferry and go back to Spain.

This was a very professional and informative tour. Abdul, our driver was experienced and so kind. He kept us on schedule and shared lots of information about the sites we visited. We felt pampered the whole day. Aziz, our guide in Asilah was also incredibly knowledgeable and so sweet. He was able to speak to us in English and our tour matws who from Spain. They both were so helpful. I highly recommend!

An excellent tour where the driver took good care of the group. The walking tour guide in Assilah (Mr Abdelaziz) was superb as he took us around the city explaining the history and current conditions. He extended our tour beyond the walls of the old city to give us a flavour of the real living city.

The tour was very nice and included interesting spots. The guide was very caring and accommodating to any requests. He helped a couple to find other interesting activities. The walking tour guide in Assila was extremely helpful nad extended the tour to show us hidden aspets of Assilah beyond the old city.

Superb in everything from communication to the day of visits. First class in all respects. Driver invested in ensuring excellent customer experience and our family are very appreciative of his adaptability and professionalism. Especially loved Assilah exploring with the local guide and great recommendation for the fish restaurant but Cap Spartel was also a highlight! XAUEN tours are So Impressive and glad we booked both our tours on our visit to Morocco with the company!

What a fabulous tour! Booking was a breeze, and communication from Sarah was outstanding and very responsive. Our guide Anass was superb. He was polite, spoke excellent English, was extremely knowledgeable about Tangier, Assilah, Morocco in general and all the places we visited. We went for the first time to Morocco , Tangier. Really wanted to see some famous landmarks as Cape Spartel and Hercules grotto. We chose Xauen tours , they are offered very comfortable time, collecting us from Hotel. Our tour guide Khalid is an absolute gem, he knows a lot and can explain you lots of things. We were very impressed with his knowledge! Trip was superb, highly recommend , we had enough time to go around and see things, have coffee or snacks. No rush and very relaxing. Absolutely love it and have most amazing memories and fantastic pictures

The whole day was fantastic. Our guide, Redouan, was excellent and very knowledgeable, and able to answer all our questions. We saw beautiful places and had plenty of time to investigate or walk along the beaches. The drive to Asilah was very pretty and the beaches amazing. We enjoyed a short camel ride. Asilah is a fascinating place with so much history, originally built by the Portuguese. We would definitely recommend this tour.

The tour guides and drivers were exceptional, warm. The transportation was first-class, wifi-equipped and very comfortable. My one suggestion would be that they give a slightly more detailed description of the tours (how much walking and/or hiking is involved). While charming, the medina vendor visits were a bit overwhelming with their neverending sale pitches.

Excellent tour of all the must sees! Amazing service, such friendly and helpful guides that are also very knowledgable of all the history of Tangier.

Redoan, our driver, picked us up at the port of Tangier and showed us “his” Tangier and beautiful Asilah. He is a great guide - we enjoyed every minute with him. The free WiFi during our trip was quite useful as Morocco was the only country where we had no internet reception. Our Mercedes Benz van was clean and very comfortable. We can highly recommend this tour operator.

This tour was fabulous! We had a problem early on thinking we might not be able to make the tour since our Riad was not allowing us to check in until 12. But we talked to the tour guide and he was very flexible with the time. So we started our tour at 3pm. Our guide was Redouane and he was very helpful and informative. He took us around Asilah, Caves of Herculues, Cape Spartel and even where the Mediterranean Sea and Atlantic Ocean meet. It was a great trip. I highly recommend it!

The tour is driving through tangier and walking once you get to assilah. All the stops were breath taking and the guide was wonderful.

We had a pleasant day today with our driver Hamza. He picked us up on time and was very friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, we had some bad luck with the weather and it rained several times. But at the excursion points it stopped as ordered. In Assilah we were guided by a guide who showed us the little medina. The camel ride was funny. In Tangier, Hamza gave us a really great tour guide. He showed us many interesting and beautiful things. The communication in English was great. For us it was the first time in Morocco but certainly not the last time.

Very good experience the full tour, the cave of Hercules Cap the camels, the driver Zak and the guide in Asilah all very correct. Thank you.

My girlfriend loved it, an excursion full of little experiences. Beautiful landscapes, and a very manicured and beautiful village Assilah where we could eat a great fish in Casa Pepe. The service was perfect by our guide and driver. My girlfriend found the camel ride on the beach fun.

An excellent experience, Redouan recommended us what we had to visit according to the time available and all at a fair price, took care of improving much our stay in Tanger

By taking this tour, you simply opt for a driver, not a guide. The quality is not at all up to the price paid by this excursion. It says "day" = false, counted max 3/4h. It also says “including the entrance to the park”, which is again false since we do not even enter, we simply stop in front. The same goes for museums (so we didn’t even talk about them) It is also indicated that we would be told the legends of the caves of Hercules: que neni. I went alone. I still put 2 stars because the medina of Asilah is very pretty and it is always convenient to have a driver to wait for us. And despite everything, Mohamed was a friendly and patient driver. But I do not recommend this tour.

We spent two and a half unforgettable days with Said who was very punctual and friendly. We went through Tangier first then Tetouan and Chefchaouen, and finally the 3rd Said brought us to Ksar el Kebir, Larache and Asilah at our request. I highly recommend the services of Xauen.
