From beginning to end the tour was amazing. We were picked up on time and our guide Khaled was very knowledgeable, professional, and kind. Definitely 5 stars

Chaouen, or Chefchaouen as in Berber language, is one of the most beautiful towns of the Rif Mountains. It is the last rampart before the Mediterranean and the Iberian Peninsula. CHEFCHAUEN was fantastic. The driver Omar was pleasant and did a great job driving safely in the rain. The Chefchauen guide Abdul was below what I expected and concentrated on photos rather than history. Without a guide, Tetouan was only a 2 out of 5 stars
Interesting. Lots of blue. Lots.
The blue city and the white dove city were both very nice - the Medina and artisan market were also good. Our guide Abdul at Chefchaouen was very nice and great at taking pictures. One recommendation, do not enter the stores since they literally force you to buy even though your guide says they will not, or enter being strong on the no side - if you do buy prices are very high, so you need to negotiate. This was the only sour experience reason I put in a 4. The guide should warn us of this situations and guide us how much we should really pay. Besides that the trip perse was great. We recommend the tour highly combining both cities.
Omar and Cemo were very good driver and tour guides! We enjoyed our time in both cities and such a memorable adventure for us. Thank you and may you continue share the beatiful stories to others.
My day trip to Chefchaouen was a wonderful experience. Everything was very well organized from start to finish. The pickup and drop-off were punctual and convenient, making the entire trip stress-free. The guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and shared interesting information about the city and its history throughout the journey. Chefchaouen is absolutely beautiful and definitely worth visiting. The famous blue streets, charming atmosphere, and stunning mountain scenery make it a truly unique destination. The only downside was that many local shops and vendors do not accept credit cards, so paying by card is almost impossible. I would recommend bringing enough cash with you. Another thing to keep in mind is that some vendors approach tourists quite persistently to sell their products, which can sometimes feel a bit overwhelming. Overall, I had a fantastic day trip and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Morocco.
Great experience! Drivers were professional and our local guide was great! Highly recommend this tour
Friendly drivers - Youssef and Omar and the guide in Chefchaouen, Abdul. Abdul took us around to visit shops and nice spots to take in the view and photographs. The vans were comfortable with airconditioning and WiFi. Overall decent experience for the price.
Everything was perfect: the view, the blue city, the guide, the driver, the itinerary. Small group with nice people.
We were picked up by our driver in front of the hotel, who took us to Chefchaouen in a comfortable minivan. We were then met by our tour guide Abdul who walked us through the various alleys of this blue beautiful city. She showed us all the places of interest to take photographs. He also walked us through the various alley is giving us the historical importance of many of these alleys. The trip lasted about an hour and a half after lunch with then we picked up and went to Tetouan. We were then met by an incredible tour guide who walked us through the various streets of the city, explained to us the historical importance of various religious places religious places. I will highly recommend this tour.
Zouheir was a wonderful guide. He was kind and informative and went out of his way to make our visit enjoyable.
Great guide! Amazing place to visit. Many locally made products. Wonderful lunch with fresh local fish
The three-star rating is a 4 for Chefchaouen and a 0 for Tetouan, rounded up. In Chefchaouen we were dropped off at a corner where the most famous walking tour guide in Morocco was waiting for us, to combine us with a group from a different tour bus. Unremarkable and unexpected, and they were different language speakers. The main point of this tour guide's tour guiding was to reiterate that he was the most famous tour guide in Morocco. The walking tour route was entirely within the section called "The Blue City" which was fine, since it is the most tourist-bait-intense part of Tetouan. It is very picturesque. All fine and good, including the hotel restaurant where we were deposited to have lunch. Then there was the "tour" of Tetouan. Bus driver says, in Spanish, something like "This is the Spanish district. You have two hours free time." And then he left, with the 14 of us working out what we could go and find of interest.
Chefchaoan was absolutely incredible. I highly recommend going. Tetuán was not as welcoming.. We got lots of stares from people there was no one friendly in this town- and when we were in the Medina a man was throwing ice at me and giving me dirty looks because they wanted us to leave so I do not recommend going to that town at all. You can just skip it. Going to the blue city was absolutely incredible though and I definitely think you should go just there.
Stayed too long in Chefchauen. Guide good.Tetouan guide difficult to understand but Tetuoan very interesting.
Flawless from beginning to end! Our driver picked us up at our hotel and we headed to Chefchoaouen. He was friendly and informative. Our town guide met us in the city. He took us up and down old streets and walkways, explaining some history and facts about the town today. We had lunch on our own and our town guide helped us return to our driver. We stopped in Terouen and walked around the exterior of the palace and town square. It probably was too much to see it later in the afternoon. The blue City was enough of a tour!
Totally worth the day investment in time! Amazing that the Chinese had planned to buy the whole town but the King stopped it!
The blue city was definitely beautiful and I like the time of pickup we were there early and was able to take photos without waiting. our guide was not as helpful as what I usually want my guide to be ..example after almost two hour ride from Tangier we wanted to use the rest room before start of walk and he asks us to just go to inside the hotel and asked if we can use it cause he is not sure . Also when we are looking at local pastries we wanted to buy but there’s no sign of what they are we asked if he can asked what pastries and he was super hesitant like it’s a big deal . He was knowledgeable though and took great photos. Also we just stayed in Chefchoen for 3 hours instead of the total 4 hours . The driver was ok drove kinda fast but was ok . Overall I won’t book this again but will just get a RT transport to checkout spend a day there and maybe get a local guide
This was a great day trip! Our driver was fantastic & personable. Our tour guide in Chefchaouen was knowledgeable and we very much appreciated his help finding a local restaurant with delicious Moroccan cuisine, and the city overall was beautiful. There was no guided tour in Tetouan, which made it a bit overwhelming, but still very enjoyable!
Our driver Zoher was fantastic! He was very friendly and had lots of knowledge to share with us. It was a delight to travel with him. As for our tour in chefchouen, we were hoping to have the tour to be in Arabic, as requested via viator but was in English.
I would definitely recommend this tour for families. Hassan is a very nice guide and incredibly patient.
Chefchaouen went fairly well. There was some difficulty communicating pre-trip. The pick up spot wasn’t clear so I emailed the day before to clarify and didn’t receive a response. Other than that the trip was enjoyable. Terran wasn’t what I expected. We were dropped off with little info and picked up 2 hours later. The town was very crowded and we had to avoid a lot of high pressure buy tactics. It was very difficult finding something to eat. I wouldn’t recommend doing this part of the trip unless there’s a lot of individual planning ahead of time.
A wonderful trip to Chefchaouen - really not to be missed if you’re in the north of Morocco. A historic walled town from 1470 that was became a refuge for Arabs and Jews escaping the inquisition in Adalucia and which is famous for its narrow, winding blue streets. A real gem. The driver (Mohamed) and guide (Ali) were both fantastic. Thoroughly recommended!
Fantástica! Dino, our driver, and the guide were excelent! Love everything on this trip, including the food.
This is a nice way to see two iconic Moroccan cities in a single day. The operator picks you up at your hotel in Tangier and drives you to Chefchaouen, with a brief stop at a beautiful cafe overlooking a lake in the Rif Mountains. In Chefchaouen you get a guided tour of the city that lasts about an hour and a half. It is informative, and the tour guides are very knowledgeable about the history of the city. Be prepared to be taken to a carpet shop and given a demonstration of the loom and the assortment of carpets available for sale. If you want a carpet, this is a good place to get one, but be up front if you are only interested in looking. Decide going in if you do want one and have a price in mind. As in most places in Morocco, prices are VERY negotiable. I found the merchants in Chefchaouen to be much less pushy than in other places like Marrakech or Fes, so that was refreshing. After the tour, you also have some down time to eat or walk through the city on your own. The guide will also take you to a restaurant if you are interested. Bear in mind that some tours in Morocco will lead to shops and restaurants that have a deal with that guide to give them a cut of all sales. I don't know for sure if that was the case with this tour guide, but just something to keep in mind when visiting any cities in Morocco. Do the research before visiting and know what you want to buy and where you want to eat, if it's important to you. After Chefchaouen, the tour drives you to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Tetouan. This is another beautiful city, and you are free to roam it for about two hours on your own. No tour is provided in this city. We actually had to leave early to catch a train in Tangier, and the tour was running longer than we had anticipated based on the estimated time in Trip Advisor. Be sure to confirm times with the tour operator beforehand to avoid this type of situation. Luckily, our tour guide was able to drive us to a taxi station in Tetouan and negotiate a group ride for us back to Tangier (about an hour ride for 100 DH for two people, which is about 10 USD). We made it to our train just in time. Overall, this was a good tour. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to see these cities off the main train routes but doesn't want to rent a car.
Our trip through Tangier, Chefchaouen, and Tetouan was truly memorable, thanks to the excellent organization of the tour and especially our driver and guide, Mohammed (No. 67). He was professional, punctual, and always drove safely, making the journey comfortable and stress-free. Mohammed’s knowledge of the history, culture, and local life in each city was impressive, and his explanations were clear and engaging. He was patient, attentive, and genuinely cared about the group. His warm personality and dedication made the entire trip smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommended!
What a great day in the Blue City! Our guide, Ali, was very knowledgeable, and gave us a great unique tour. He was even nice enough to take pictures of us in 'secret' spots away from crowds. And his lunch recommendation was delicious. Our driver, Jalal, was good and gave everyone options. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone!
They trip was nice. The driver and the guide were super nice and professional. The city was very interesting, beautiful and unique.
It is a long day because of the travel time but worth it to go to the Blue City. Jalil our driver and Ali our guide were great!
Wonderful trip arranged. Perfect joining information and picked up spot on time. Comfortable minivan with just four of us on board. Really informative and helpful driver. Great guide in Chefchaouen who was very patient with us for all the photo stops! What a beautiful place. Perfect amount of time spent there. Then on to Tetouan. Initial impression is of a typical Spanish city. Our guide then took us into the medina and then to the kasbah. This felt a little long and it was getting dark. There really wasn't much to see and by then we were all pooped. Back to hotel 11 hours after pick up so very long day but definitely worth it.
We got picked up in a really nice mini bus with a great driver who explained everything. We had arranged to have a local guide in both locations, and were so glad we did. We had two very different guides, but both were really knowledgeable and passionate about their cities. If we’d been left to wander around we wouldn’t have seen anywhere as much. Everything was really well organised and looked after - we got some fantastic pictures to remember our day
Wonderful experience, driver Youseff and tour guide Taoufik amazing. Not only show us the Medina he was also our personal photographer and offer to carry our bags.We were treated like royalty. Small group and plenty of free time to stroll around . This company takes costumers seriously and make sure they have the best experience. Later we were pick up by another driver to take us to Tetuán same wonderful costumer service and met by another tour guide that took us to discover Tetuán Medina
Lace up your best pair of sneakers and stretch your legs before stepping onto the van for these tours. The vibrant cities are oozing with history and the local guides filled us with local lore. We lost count of the number of steps along the way-- they are innumerable! But well worth it because of the views and stories along the way.
The trip went exactly according the schedule, Mr Abdul the Driver came to the exact location on time explained the history of the towns through our drive from Tangier to ChefChaouen, then to Tetouan and Tangier. The 2 tour guids, Ali and Mohamed were super knowledgeable and helpful
This was a great tour! It was our first time going to the blue city and we loved it! Such a charming town.
Chefchaouen was amazing and Tetouan is a gem of a city with friendly people. The tours guides and drivers were all exceptional and it was a very interesting albeit long day out
The trip itself was fine. We had a break down on highway the driver handled it very professionally with our utmost safely in mind. We were only delayed one hour. Our guide in Chefchouan was really good the only issue we had was after our free time we were left with only verbal instructions from our guide to find where driver would be down below parked as it was not the drop off point. Some had phones and could pin the location. We did not anticipate this and did not have map access to help us to the point needed we did get lost and were lucky to find some one in our party that had a phone and map to follow. It caused anxiety. For us. The guide should have taken us to the van
Trip advisor said mini van. The driver showed up in sedan very uncomfortable for 4 people.. Trip advisor said 2 hour drive. It was 3 hours each way. Trip advisor said tour total was shorter than 12 hours. Driver told us 12 hours. The driver was a mile outside the gate. Trip advisor description made it sound like he would be meeting the tour right off the ship. The tour company was JTT Travel. They do not have the license to pick up at the port. The tour guides were private and very informative. A lot of walking is involved. Not good for people who have a a hard time walking. Would not take this tour again.
Mohammed was great. He gave an amazing in depth tour of Chefchaoun and answered all of our questions. Hakeem was very nice and showed us many local spots in Tetouan.
The tour was somewhat misleadingly advertised as 7-10 hours , but, to its credit, the company did advise me that it would take the full 10 hours and therefore it was too close to my ship's departure.
Great tour! Everyone in Morocco is so friendly! The drivers for this trip were great, very friendly, often able to speak multiple languages and explain things/answer questions. Pre-warning the road to Chefchaouen from Tanger is filled with hills and turns so is not great if you are prone to car sickness but felt safe the whole time! Chefchaouen is very cool, very blue and beautiful, nestled within the hills. Bring your water and suntan lotion as it's all outside and often in direct sunlight. The tour guide was lovely, offering to take photos everywhere and where to get your IG photos, took us to a great restaurant too! Tetouan was shorter as we were tired from being in the sun all day so feel we may not have done it justice but it was a pretty town again with lots of Spanish influence architecture. Our tour guide was great again, took us to the Medina and the Arab markets, which felt really neat as we got to see how lots of the stuff was made, rather than just shops to buy it in. Very cool tour overall!
Very well organized and informative. The guide in Chefchaouen was very knowledgeable and it was a nice experience. We visited Tetuan also and it was really worth visiting our guide Hakan made it very special. He brought us to very unusual places and really made our trip very special. Make sure you ask for Hakan when visiting Tetuan. The driver was also very accommodating and professional. He recommended a restaurant to us Tangerina and it was one of the best meals we had. I really recommend this tour, each city had something different to see. All went very well and we were really well taken care of.
In the summer expect it to be really hot. Bring your cooling rags, your water bottles and your fans, but don’t miss out on this excellent tour. This is such a unique city with so many photo opportunities and once-in-a-lifetime shots just waiting to be taken and posted! The guides are super knowledgeable and if your tour is anything like my group, you’ll even learn the Arab word for “Come on, let’s go!”. You’ll have the opportunity to buy a handmade artisan-crafted rug from the Berbers and savor the excellent mint tea. Lunch is at a picturesque site that offers every kind of seafood imaginable, but for those of you who don’t partake of the offerings of the sea, they have beef and chicken tagine, which is delicious. I recommend the chicken tagine with lemon and olives! Prepare yourself for a lot of walking up and down, but with absolutely gorgeous views.
Very nice tour with very kind guides. Distance from Tangier is a bit long but seeing different cities and listening their history from local guides.
Our driver Mr. Mohamad was very good skiiled driver and very friendly. Both our tour guides Mohamad and Abdulla Khan were very knowledgable and good. We enjoyed the tour with them.
This is trip is amazing and must see and would give more of Morroco history (mix of Arab, Spanish and Protégés)
It’s a long day but our driver is gorgeous. The guides are knowledgeable and the experience is well designed.
One time to visit city . Although as Indian traveler its was similar to some of our city . But still food and culture to be enjoyed
Great day out, really interesting trip, professional, safe and very pleasant driver, Yasin, and very knowledgeable guides. The scenery is amazing.
Punctual driver, organized day and everything was smooth. Beautiful locations. However, the guide in Tetouan didn’t speak much English, and had trouble explaining. All the group had a hard time. An English speaker should be guiding us please.
