Rayan was friendly and personable, the touring and visiting was friendly, educational and enjoyable. We saw many parts and sides of Tangiers we might not have seen on a bigger less private tour. THEN, we went to an “authentic” spice shop and got scammed. BEWARE! The oils and spices “freshly mixed” for us like we were getting “special” treatment without any reference as to the cost. THEN, they tried to run my card for $1000!!! Thank goodness the VISA stopped them at $500. I wanted to leave right then but they removed TWO JARS of honey and, suddenly, it was ONLY $500!! TWO JARS OF HONEY were $500!! It was a complete scam. No way that locals are paying $500 for the few things we got. I mean the whole tour was couple $100 for a private tour and then that for spices and oils?! I felt like we were taken but my wife made me pay and move on so we wouldn’t ruin the rest of the day… or our ride home!! JUST BEWARE!!

Short wander on the beach with a camel was great fun. Getting on and off the camel are a treat. Wandering through the market was amazing: learning about the people and sampling the food was something you don't get from a ship excursion
