This luxury full-day private tour with Mehdi was extremely well executed. The day flowed smoothly from one stop to the next without ever feeling rushed. Mehdi shared a lot of insight into the city's history and everyday life, which made the experience meaningful, not just sightseeing. The city was a photographers paradise. Our guide was the best, making sure we were all able to navigate the many hills. He was both knowable and caring for everyone in the group.

Local guide in Chefchouen in was excellent. Person driving me to and from Tangier made me feel very uncomfortable asking if he could smoke and complaining about how little he made and his glasses costing so much money to be repaired. It was a grab for a giant tip and I caved. Would never have done this solo if I had known there would be that obnoxious pressure and guilting to leave a big tip. Avoid especially if you are traveling solo and a non-smoker unless you feel comfortable getting in a car with a man who asks you to smoke, tells you *not* to tip your local guide (certainly to get a bigger tip himself), and brag about how another American gave him a cell phone.. Your tips should be based on merit of visit, so focus on that. So I tipped because he whined about making so little per month. This review is for the very very uncomfortable experience as a solo female traveler.The only plus was I asked to cut the tour short so I could catch a train and that was accommodated. To be clear, I didn't feel unsafe, but I did feel pressured to leave a big tip and that was really really irritating. This would have been a good experience if it weren't for the constant begging and pressure to accommodate smoking. He asked for a good review. He should have focused on getting me a decent experience, and avoided complaining about how miserable his financial situation was.

Beautiful scenic drive with amazing panoramic views and stunning stops along the way! Excellent tour guide with amazing educational information while visiting Chefchaouen city. The ride was pretty long (2.5 hours each way) so just get your mind and body ready!

We recently did a one day tour with Omar to the beautiful and spectacular city of Chefchaouen on a 1 day tour. Since we had to return to the ferry in Tanger earlier to catch a flight, Omar tailored our visit. He took us to look at multiple amazing palaces, told us the history of several cities, he even spoke Spanish and English seamlessly as we have multilingual guests. He showed us different vantage points of the Atlantic and Mediterranean sea. Overall, this trip was an authentic, immersive experience in Morocco. Omar curated an impeccable itinerary. We are left with memories that will last a lifetime.

This day trip from Tangier is a must! Amina, my guide, was perfect. She explained a lot about the city and took the time to take my photos and videos. The whole day trip was a day to remember.

If you’re not sure whether or not to book this excursion — do it! This was the perfect way to explore Chefchaouen. Our driver was excellent, and had a very comfortable luxury car. Our local guide was amazing, and not only showed us all the most “instagram worthy” spots, but also helped us understand the culture and customs. We left feeling like we really understood what it means to be from Chefchaouen… not to mention very eager to return!

Highly recommended tour!! Perfectly planned from the type of transportation and breaks required and speed during exploration of Chef lanes because of our family of 8. Our guide Nomun explained is every detail for this city. He was extremely polite and super caring for kids. Please ask for him whenever you book this trip with viator.

We had the most lovely day trip to Chefchouan! Our driver was on time, and picked us up in a very lovely car. He was so personable and attentive, providing a perfect rest stop for tea and crepes halfway through. On the drive home he was thoughtful and drove slowly down the mountains without us asking. He pointed out items of interest in the area and countryside as we drove. In Chefchouan he connected us with a local guide who grew up in the city and seemed to know everyone. The guide knew everything about the history of the city. He brought us to a local restaurant for lunch away from the tourist area that was a great view of the city and had the best authentic food. Cannot recommend this trip enough.

The trip was wonderful and our guide Rafi was amazing! He was very professional and knowledgeable and gave us a lot of information about Morocco which really helped us to understand the country and the culture as it's our first time visiting Morocco. The driver was very skillful which made the trip more relaxing while driving up and down hills. The Chefchaouen local guide was also excellent and also took photos for us. All of them worked really hard and gave the best services! Tanger Tour made great efforts to contact us a few times before the trip to make sure the guild would meet us on time at the Ferry Terminal, we arrived at the port around 9:30, and our guide was there already to greet us even our trip was booked to start at 10AM. It was a great experience touring the beautiful Blue City and Tangier and our guide definitely made the trip even better. Will definitely recommend this tour!

What an incredible day! My boyfriend and I were picked up on time at our hotel by Mohammed, who drove us very quickly and safely to Chefchaouen. There, Nouaman met us on the street and was our guide through the whole city! His English was impeccable, and he was so knowledgeable and personable! He showed us great spots to take pictures, important cultural spots, and even took us to the Spanish Mosque at the top of the mountain for a view of the city. After dropping us off to enjoy lunch at a fantastic restaurant, he picked us back up and took us back to Mohammed. Mohammed drove us back towards Tangier but let us stop at the famous Caves of Hercules, Cape Spartel, and he then took us for a complimentary camel ride!! I can’t say enough good things about these guys; they made our trip to Morocco unforgettable.

This was a great experience, I highly recommend it. The city is magical and the city tour was very well explained.

The best decision I have ever made was booking a trip with Tanger Tours! it was hands down the best experience I have ever had. Nizar is so professional, he was there to pick us up exactly on time and he was super friendly. Nouaman our guide for the day showed us around and he was very knowledgable about his city. I'm very pleased with my experience and I'd definitely recommend it to everyone I know.

Can't say enough about Nizar. He was very professional, kind, knowledgeable and very easy to work with. He went above and beyond and took one of our kids who fell sick at short notice to the hospital late at night. Cant say enough things about him. Highly recommended and we would use him again!

The highlight of my Moroccan trip! Tarik & Nouaman Were by far the best guides I’ve ever dealt with. They consistently went above & beyond every expectation I had. They showed the upmost respect & generosity throughout the tour. Very accommodating, I would highly recommend them to family, friends & everyone else. It doesn’t get better than these two! I wouldn’t hesitate doing this tour again! I consider these two guys family from now on!

We had a great day with our driver Soher (sp?) and our guide Norman. Both men went out of their way to show us extra things, tell us anecdotes about what we were seeing, and were very friendly and flexible. Everywhere we went our guide was greeted and he showed us a nice place to buy a few souvenirs. The lunch was delicious- you have to try the chicken and vegetable couscous. It’s the best 3.50€ you’ll spend! We could not recommend this tour enough!

The worst experience I have ever had . At first we find this company in Tripadvisor and the most of reviews were excellent , that's why I trusted this company and I booked the blue city trip . Since we booked with this company they took care of us and they asked about everything we want , so we felt that this company are very responsible until comes the day of our trip . Nizar has been late . He come after 1 hour of the meeting time , but it's wasn't a big problem for us . Nizar brought a bottle of water for us and a small chocolate for my daughter . Actually Moroccan people are very generous. After 30 min of driving on the way to Chefchaouen Nizar didn't say more than one sentence in English. The rest of the conversation was very complicated because he was trying to speak with us in Spanish. we thought that we are going to meet a good guide at least to know a little history about the city and about Moroccan culture . Actually the guide was interesting only about the shops for one to the other, we have been to a Moroccan restaurant and the food was very very delicious but we felt like it's wasn't necessary to have the guide with us , we didn't enjoyed. Also , the communication with him wasn't clear. If you are going to book with this company better for you to keep your own money and do it by yourself.

I just visited the blue city and the your was stunning. The town is so beautiful ❤️ and the tour guide Nouman is very kind and polite. He showed us small hidden places always smiling and with a great attitude. His English is perfect somi learned .lot about morroco. Thank you

Did not do what was expected Driver did not speak English even though we had requested an English speaking driver Was promised a private tour with explanation of the journey which did not happen Lunch was not good. They did offer to get something else but we felt we had already wasted a good hour there so we declined Did not see Médina of Tangier or Hercules cave Mohammed was very nice and knowledgeable but we did not get what we paid for Would not recommend this tour Suggest just doing a group tour

We had a fantastic day. Both Nizar and Abdul were 5 star guides. Nizar, our driver, in particular, was great- he was very accommodating of our requests, he showed us around the White City and around the key sightseeing spots in Tangier. Such a polite snd friendly person! We truly enjoyed our trip to Chefchaouen 😀

I went to Morocco for my birthday with the plan for Chefchaouen being the highlight of the trip. I was not disappointed. I was picked up at my riad in Tangier and driven straight to Chef City with a brief stop at a roadside cafe to get pictures and some water. Once I arrived, I was greeted by Nouman, my guide. He showed me around the blue city giving me a history lesson while stopping in little shops to purchase freshly baked bread and converse with the residents. Since he lives there, he knows of all the great places to take pictures and a few hidden gems. He is also extremely patient and a great photographer. Per his suggestion, you should spend two days in the blue city and I sincerely wish I had. If and when I go back, I will definitely request Nouman as my guide and encourage you to do the same!

Our trip to Chefchaouen with Nizar (our driver) and Abdul (our guide) were both fantastic. Nizar was right on time, and the drive was comfortable and safe. When we reached Chefchaouen, Abdul was already waiting for us. He kindly took us to all of the main attractions in the old city. He also took us up the hike to the Spanish Mosque to see a view of the city that was truly spectacular. You may wish to skip the carpet shop at the beginning of the tour. The restaurant we ate at for lunch felt a bit tourist-y and was out of some of their dishes, but the views from the restaurant of the mosque and Kasbah were beautiful. Since we had already seen Cap Spartel and the Hercules Grotto the previous day, Nizar offered to take us to alternative spots in Tangier for some amazing panoramas. All in all, it was a fantastic day.

Our driver Nizar was excellent.....Super attentive. Upon our arrival we met our guide Nouaman, was very knowledgeable and patient. We are very grateful for this experience in Morrocco and visiting the blue city. Make sure to request both guides for your next trip it will be a magical experience.

Trip was better than expected and the guides were simply amazing! Everything went extremely smooth and everyone involved constantly went above and beyond to make sure we were having a blast. Would very highly recommend!

Last week on our trip to Chefchaouen, my friends and i had the pleasure of meeting Nouman who showed us around the city with the upmost respect and hospitality. He recommended the best local places to eat and seemed to really know his stuff. He practically knew everyone and kept greeting people as we walked through the old Medina which was an even better indication of his kind heart. He truly made chefchaouen an unforgettable experience for me and my friends. I absolutely recommend nature people who haven’t seen the city to come visit this lovely paradise in the mountain and ask for Nouman for the full experience!

This was a beautiful tour to the blue city from Tangier. The communication with the tour guide prior to the beginning of the tour was very helpful, the day before we received a confirmation that our scheduled pick up was on time by Nizar. Nizar took us from the hotel and was very kind and professional, he did all the necessary stops for coffee and clean bathrooms prior we reached our destination. He was also very accommodating with the music to make us feel the local vibe. At the blue city we were met by Omar who gave us a beautiful tour around the city, explained the history of the town, showed all the secret spots and made us feel very welcome. We met very nice people during this tour, enjoyed our lunch with an amazing view. We also had time to visit the white city and the amazing view in Tangier that were provided by Nizar on our way back. We are very happy for taking this tour and will definitely book again for more insights on local culture in our future visit to Morocco.

Family trip w/ two daughters (17 and 9). Trip started with Pick up from Hilton Al Houara Resort. nice vehicle and friendly driver. Limited English speaking but was able to communicate via Spanish! 2 hour trip to Chefchaouen with stop along the way for bathroom break and coffee/tea at actually a nice scenic restaurant stop in the mountains. Guide at Chefchaouen was terrific. English was great and knowledge of city was great (he still lives there so he was well known throughout out walk!). Lunch in the Spanish square was at very good local restaurant. Guide actually bought small gift for my daughters (above and beyond and was such a nice gesture). Cannot miss this city and what an experience. Return trip was on time. Would recommend to all.

Driver took the time to show us things along the way to Chefchaouen (Tetouan and Hercules Cave). Local tour guide in Chefchaouen who speaks very fluent English and knows the town very well took us around and answered any questions. Great tour overall. Highly recommend...

Omar and his crew were awesome guides for Tánger and Chefchaouen. The guide was so friendly, showed us all the best sights as other tourists were getting lost and missing stuff, and we learned a lot about the city, it’s people, and the region. As some of the comments mention, you do go to some markets that the guide knows as a small part at the end of the tour, but Chefchaouen is a small city, everyone knows everyone, and if you’re have not been shown a handmade rug, you haven’t experienced Morocco.

We experienced a timely pickup from Nizar right at our door in a nice black Mercedes - he drove very carefully up and down the hills and turns to Chefchaouen including a stop at panoramic cafe for coffee/tea/pastries and beautiful view. The car had water and was air conditioned as described Upon arrival to the town, our guide, Nouaman, met us at the drop off and took us to all of the hidden places that we never would’ve found ourselves. He offered to take pictures and we got many good ones! After that, he guided us though the Medina and outside up to the Spanish Mosque for a picturesque view of the city. He was very informative and really shared his passion for his city through many personal stories! He recommended a place for lunch, we we went to and really enjoyed. Nizar met us after the tour and drove us back to Tangier - pointing out many things along the way and ending with stops to Hercules Cave and Cap Spartel and right back to our door. Both guides were very friendly funny and professional! Highly recommend this tour for full service to/from Chefchaouen from Tangier

My friend and I traveled recently to Chefchaouen and we had an amazing time over there. Nouaman was our guide and he showed us all of the main highlights. I would highly recommend this tour, you will not find any better guide. I definitely want to come back one day. :) Thanks again!

My wife and I booked this tour for Chefchaouen. After minor communications to confirm Pickup we presented and were carried off by Nizar in a late model Mercedes sedan. One of the off season benefits. No one else booked at the same hour was my conclusion. Hence no bus. We drove up to Chefchaouen, stopping for coffee overlooking one of the lakes on the river. Beautiful drive. Once at Chefchaouen Abdul took over showing us through town. Which was populated by... Moraccans! Not a lot of tourists at all. Loving off season again. Colorful city. Interesting history. For lunch the tour recommends a nice restaurant we were happy with. You can go elsewhere if you choose but ask Abdul if the place you like is recommendable. He said some places were more reliable than others. Abdul was very informative and pleasant to spend an afternoon with. I would recommend you bring some 50 dirham coins (I didn't, Abdul covered me) to pay for photo ops. Peacocks and other things are nice opportunities. On the way back we stopped at the central plaza of Chetouan. Nice panorama. Then back in Tanger we stopped for a look at the sunset. Note that the tour lists many elements. I think the content of any tour is influenced by weather and client interest. Our tour was 930 to 6pm.

This tour is amazing! Nizar picked us up promptly from our riad...and off we went. He was a great driver while enlightening us on all things Morocco as well as fielding random questions from my boyfriend and I! The ride was filled with great conversations. Nizar was so helpful and had an amazingly pleasant attitude, it was like we were riding with a very informative friend. He handed us off to Abdul, who was also great! he had a few decades on us but was still maneuvering those hills and alleys like a pro! This was an awesome day trip from start to finish and I would highly recommend it to anyone....you will NOT be disappointed! Thanks Nizar and Abdul!

We had a wonderful time touring Chefchaouen with Nizar. He picked us up from the train station at 6am and got us to Chefchaouen safely. He was helpful, friendly, and considerate the whole time! A highlight of our trip! Chefchaouen is wonderful for a day trip. We stayed one night and he picked us up the following morning.

Nizar met us right at the door of the train station, and drove us safely to and from Chefchaouen. He had water and WiFi waiting for us in car. On the way back from Chefchaouen he stopped to show us beautiful views, and the white city. He found us a wonderful place for lunch in Tanger, and then took us on a driving tour of Tanger. It was a really fantastic day!!!! Nizar is wonderful. I highly recommend taking a tour with him.

We had a great experience visiting chefchaouen the city is beautiful, and everyone was friendly. Nizar picked us up in a black minivan, he treated us very well and invited us to green mint tea on the way to chefchaouen. The guide Abdul was very friendly and knowledgeable about his hometown. We met Nizar in the port of Tangier, we we’re 6 girlfriends, he transferred us to our hotel, and suggested to us a day trip to Chefchaouen (a real blue jewel in the mountains). He picked us up in a fancy minivan, with free WiFi and bottled water. he is very polite, and he always was explaining to us the meaning of every single detail in Chefchaouen, we were impressed with his knowledge and his good communication skills, his professional driving, he invited us to a mint tea and local cookies on the road to chef. After arriving we met Abdul the company’s guide was very funny, knowledgeable and he run out of his way just to show us a hidden place on the mountain to see a panoramic view through the Medina(old city) Of chef. Lunch was served in a local restaurant in with a nice view to the main square. We had a free time to roam by ourself and one of my friends wanted to buy a souvenir to Chefchaouen, So Nizar take it from here and walked in with us in the sawika (local markets) and walked us for more than an hour. Everyone was running out of his way just to make the trip unforgettable. So thank you so much Nizar and we have a new friend in Morocco. I’ll absolutely book again once I think about Morocco (Maghreb).

Tarik was our guide and he was incredibly kind and flexible. He picked us up right outside our airbnb and immediately offered water and the aux cord. Tarik was checking in with us to make sure we were all comfortable and having a good time. Once we got to Chefchaouen, another guide, Abdul, led us through the city and catered the tour to our interests and needs. As four women traveling alone in Morocco, Tarik made sure to make us all feel safe. Tarik is the most hospitable and generous guide and person I have met. Tarik gave us many recommendations for food to eat and things to do in Tangier after returning from Chefchaouen. Please go with Tarik, he will provide an experience like none other.

We had an amazing experience visiting chowen the blue Pearl the City itself is fascinating, but what makes the trip enjoyable was Nizar he was very kind and treat us like bis friends, he invited us for a mint tea in a nice spot on our way to chowen. The guide in Chefchaouen- Mohamed - was a local and very knowlegeable and proud about his morish origins (the Foundators of chowen were morish), we had a half hour free time to explore the City by ourselfs. Lunch was served in a nice local restaurant with a beautiful panoramic view to the main square, food was great and rich with a very good price. Just book it, they knows how to make your trip memorable.

Tarik was the sweetest, honestly. He has good genuine energy that really made this experience fulfilling. I am glad we weren’t with an agency either and went with him. It was a good time. Also, Abdul is cutest little man that I’ve ever met. It all felt like family and very comfortable.
