Excellent hotel with atmosphere and history and wonderful breakfast. A little bit was disappointed with flooring in the room. Should be replaced. Overall location was excellent. Specially stayed there for the marathon. Runners friendly hotel that moved breakfast earlier.

I stayed for 3 nights, for me at least the mattress is quite soft, I prefer a firmer mattress. Otherwise at the reception you can find everything you need. The breakfast is quite rich. It is quite close to the center (I walked 15-20 min), there is a bus stop next to the hotel. Overall it is ok if you are the type who stays at the hotel just to sleep.
I recently stayed at the Kreutzwald Hotel Tallinn and overall had a good experience. The customer service was knowledgeable and helpful. However, there was a small misunderstanding regarding the parking fee. I was initially told that I needed to pay for parking, which made me wonder because I had booked through their partner, Viking Line, where free parking was included in the booking information. I decided not to argue and planned to check the information online myself. Interestingly, when the staff member checked the system again—without me even mentioning that free parking was included—she confirmed that the parking was actually free and apologized for the misunderstanding. The breakfast had a wide variety of choices and was generally enjoyable. However, the edges of the bacon were consistently very hard and difficult to chew. I had to leave them on my plate each morning and hoped that it might be better the following day, but unfortunately, it was the same throughout my stay. Another area for improvement is communication. Only some of the hotel staff were able to speak English fluently, while others had difficulty understanding or communicating in English. I also noticed that the hotel did not specifically ask whether we needed anything additional in the room. However, they did provide a QR code that guests could use to access services and information through the hotel's website. Overall, my experience at Kreutzwald Hotel Tallinn was good. I would definitely use the hotel and its services again, and I would also recommend it to my friends.
Good stay at Kreutzwald Hotel Tallinn as a solo traveller. Rooms are clean. Service is impeccable. Breakfast is varied and has decent amount of choice. Oatmeal was especially good.
Very unfriendly customer service. When we arrived to the hotel around 20 minutes past the earliest check-in time, we were told that our room wasn’t ready and they couldn’t tell when it would be. We got no apology, neither when we first time arrived nor when the room was actually ready. I have food restrictions, so I had messaged the hotel prior if they serve something suitable for me during breakfast. I was told that they do have basic produce and cold cuts, and I could ask for additional yoghurt from the breakfast waiters. During the breakfast I could only find vegetables, fruits and beans and I asked the staff if they had more items in the kitchen. After staring me for a moment the woman called for another staff member from the kitchen, and (I guess, I don’t speak Estonian) told her about my inquiry and then continued to do something else. The other member went back to kitchen and I was just standing there feeling stupid and not knowing what to do. After some time she came back and started to assembly some plant based ham and cheese slices on a plate. Then she simply gave me the plate and returned to the kitchen. No one said to me anything during this. I didn’t want to bother them anymore than I already had done, so I didn’t ask for the yoghurt. I don’t know if they even had any, since they didn’t bring some in the first place. In the hotel room, there was nothing to dry the bathroom floor with. The floor is horizontally very straight, so water will stay on it for hours and hours. We bathed and didn’t take into consideration that the whirlpool feature would need some space, and so because we filled the pool too much we ended up flooding the floor a bit. All we could do was slide the water to the drain by feet. Let me tell you, it did work but also took quite a while. No wonder the bathroom had a little damp smell. _Very_ soft beds, I was OK with it but my travelling buddy didn’t sleep well and their back felt sore in the morning. The location is quite remote, but we should have checked the distances better before booking so it’s really not their fault. It’s nice to see so many good comments from other visitors, but unfortunately we can’t recommend and won’t return to Kreutzwald Hotel.
