Private Transfer From Takayama To Kanazawa Including Shirakawago

Everything about this journey was easy and pleasant. Great communication with the company (which accommodated our changed plans kindly and efficiently), and a most wonderful driver / tour guide, who explained so much about Japan and Shirakawago. We had a wonderful morning transferring from to Kanazawa from Takayama. Thank you!

Yuka was amazing! She picked us up on time and made the ride experience perfect. She even managed to give my wife and I umbrellas as it was unexpected to rain while walking around Shirakawago! We had Junpei pick us up from hotel in Takayama and drive us to Kanazawa with a stop at Shirakawago. He was a pleasure to be with; great driver and very knowledgeable about the area. Prompt arrival and very comfortable vehicle, the experience was above our expectations.

We had a wonderful day with our guide and driver Yuka with door to door service from Takayama to Kanazawa. She was knowledgeable and showed us all around Shirakawa go village in the mountains on our way. It made our transfer easy and allowed us to see a world heritage site which is well worth the stop. Kanazawa tours suggested an early 8 am pickup which was the right call as we beat the big buses to the mountain village. By the time we left, it was very busy. If you want an easy way to get between these two cities, I highly recommend Kanazawa tours and Yuka as your guide.

I don't know how to describe this memorable experience. The car was very comfortable. The guide "Ku" was super friendly and provided a plethora or knowledge. I highly recommend this tour and especially make sure you get "Ku" as your guide! "Sweet danshi"

Sachiko took us on a lovely walk through Shirakawago, a charming village and UNESCO site. She is very knowledgable about the area, its history and unique centuries-old thatched roof homes. We ended the walk with lunch at a tasty local restaurant and treated Sachiko and our driver with pleasure. We really enjoyed the tour and highly recommend Sachiko and Kanazawa Walking Tours!

We (family of 4) had a wonderful, well organized tour with Kumiko, with plenty of detailed information about the villages we visited and about the life of the people in this region. Kumiko aldo kindly gave us answers to many questions about Japan in general. I strongly recommend to add two extra hours and visit Suganuma and Ainokura, they are much smaller, but much nicer

Take this tour! Wow, what an incredible day spent with Yuta! He is so fantastic and we loved everything about the experience. He is so personable, knowledgeable, and charming. Shirakawago is absolutely breathtaking and Yuta offered so much valuable insight. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough!

Our guide Kumiko was wonderful, very helpful, charming, and funny (we loved the little hand puppet panda and the little jumping paper frogs she folded for us sur place). She was also flexible in meeting our wishes and organising an impromptu lunch in a nice small restaurant on the road from Shirakawa-go to Kanazawa, and accompanied us right to the hotel reception to drop us off there. We can only recommend her!

My daughter and I used Kanazawa tours to transfer us from Takayama to Kanazawa. The guide during the drive and visit to Shirakawago was knowledgeable and informative. Once in Kanazawa we met up with Nozomi another guide. We were interested in specific artisan visits. Nozomi spoke English perfectly. We enjoyed being with her for the rest of the day which included a quick garden visit, lunch and drop off at the train station at the end of the day. The artisans we were introduced to were all talented and happy to meet with us. Nozomi has been amazing - it is now six months since our visit and she is still helping to organize the completion and shipping of certain items we had embroidered there in Kanazawa. My wife and I had a terrific tour of the UNESCO village site Shirakawago on our transfer from Takayama to Kanazawa. Our guide and driver was Tetsuro Aida who was delightful, knowledgeable and speaks very good English having worked in the film and theater business with many Americans and English people. We learned a lot about historical and modern day life in Japan. Tetsuro answered all our questions but the commentary was not overwhelming. Tetsuro provided us with a beautiful photo album of our trip which he created discreetly during the tour. It is a wonderful souvenir of the day. The taxi/limo was a very comfortable UDT (7 seater, AC). The weather was just perfect that day which added to the experience. Thank you Tetsuro.

We had a brilliant transfer from Takayama to Kanazawa. Our driver Yuka was charming and the car was luxurious. Yuka also after as our private on our visit to Shirakawago which is a ‘must visit’ destination that will long live in my memory.

This was a fantastic experience. Not only were we picked up at our Airbnb but our tour guide took us to shirakawago to tour but then took us to a less crowded gasho style home where we got to have tea and learn about the home history from the family who has owned it, 19th gen. The drive was smooth and relaxing. Highly recommend.

This is primarily private transportation from Takayama to Kanazawa, with a stop for time to explore Shirakawa-go. A few minimal tour guide comments. Clean, comfortable ride and congenial driver. Just not really a tour.

Half day private transfer from Takayama hotel to Shirakawago and drop off at Kanazawa hotel by Kanazawa tour is very convenient and smooth. Also provided adequate time for sight seeing in Shirakawago. Well recommended.
