Katsuragi No Sato

We stayed here before heading to Kamikochi, and enjoyed a wonderfully relaxing stay and hot spring experience. The open-air bath surrounded by the forest was incredibly cozy and peaceful, and our room was spotless with a charming, traditional atmosphere. We honestly wished we could have stayed for more than just one night. When we mentioned that we were traveling to Kamikochi, one of the staff members kindly wrote us a handwritten message to see us off when we left early the next morning. It was such a thoughtful gesture, and it made us happy for the rest of our trip in Japan! It’s not the easiest place to get to from Korea, but we would absolutely love to come back someday. (Also, there are some staff members who are seriously handsome and beautiful, like K-pop idols… I was half tempted to bring them back to Korea with us! 😂)

Very nice Ryokan with spacious rooms and amazing food. I enjoyed the stay very much and would definitely recommend it to everyone that is looking for a relaxing stay.

The place exceeded all our expectations The service is amazing, from the minute you walk in you feel welcomed and we'll treated The Ryokan is so beautiful, and so is the room Onsens were super! And the dinner was delicious, we enjoyed it very much and hope to be back 😍

The hotel owner and the staffs are really friendly and caring. They picked us up from the bus stop knowing that we would be carrying some suitcases. (She also helped two foreigners who got lost and drove them back to their hotel. Really appreciate their kind hearts!) They took us to the bear park and even lent to us their umbrellas. The hotel specially assigned their only English speaking staff to serve us the whole time from introducing the room to serving us dinner and breakfast. It was a memorable stay!
